"Due to another guest's need for no stairs, we were upgraded to a larger unit upstairs in the front. A wonderful large covered deck with hammocks was nice but it was pretty noisy, being a few feet from the main road. Kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. "We stayed for 5 nights in this beautiful house right on the beach. Our children (6,9,11) loved going outside the back door and playing in the water, the sand, and lounging in the hammock. They stayed up late to greet us, woke up early to say good bye. We received great recommendations from them all. We loved our stay. "Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!"
