Beautiful cabin

We loved how quaint the cabin was, the fireplace is a great addition. Just what we were looking for. The lake view is beautiful as well. The deli up the street is walking distance is great!!! I highly recommend it!!

Peaceful and relaxing

We stayed at Middle Island for 3 days. It was as pictured and as expected! Visiting my son from out of state. It was wonderful to have such a cozy, comfortable place for us to spend time together. Thank you! Hopefully we can stay there again soon!

A week to enjoy

So booking was super easy and the property was super nice with a smart TV with a lot of apps to watch any shows you want, the bed and couch were comfortable, and the bathrooms and shower were nice and clean. It's definitely meant to be for a small party of 4, so if you plan on taking more people then I would advise against it. But overall it's a nice property and a nice location. There is a lot of things to do on Long Island.

The Cabin

The cabin is beautiful! It is very clean. Our family stopped by two at a time. We sat mostly outside. The frogs and birds are very cool to watch and listen to.. The owners are the nicest people.They leave you sheets , blankets etc. They are there for any cabin questions..Thank you!!

Weekend at the Cabin

Beautiful cottage on the lake

Very quiet and peaceful setting. Debra & Irving were always available and responded immediately to texts. Bed was very comfortable and showers always hot. Air conditioning and wifi were excellent. Kitchen could use a few more additions but served my needs. A reading lamp upstairs would be nice too. The cottage is homey, warm and welcoming. I had a relaxing vacation and enjoyed sitting on the bench by the lake reading.

Cozy and clean cabin

Myself, my husband and our 3 year old son stayed at the cabin to spend some time with a friend who lives nearby. This cabin would be excellent for a couple — it’s cozy and cute. The check-in process was easy and the cabin was clean. I was weary that the small AC unit in the loft area would be able to cool the entire cabin (it’s been quite hot out), but within a couple hours the temperature was more than comfortable. Cabin was well stocked with linens, towels, and anything you might need in the kitchen. WiFi was strong, my husband was able to get some work done. My husband and I gave our son the lofted bed and elected to use the sleeper sofa. I was envisioning a pull-out mattress type bed, but was bummed to find it was a fold-down, futon-style sofa. This would be totally fine for one person, but pretty uncomfy for two adults (one of whom is very pregnant). My husband grabbed an air mattress the next day and I slept comfortably on the pull-out sofa alone. The lake/pond area is nice, but not very accessible. The pictures look like you can walk right up to the water, but in reality you’re up above the lake on a bit of a ledge/cliff. The area was a little overgrown and pretty spiderwebbed so we didn’t sit out there much. The back deck was a great place to enjoy after our son went down to bed, though. (Bring bug spray!) There were fireworks and some loud music most nights, which I was bummed about (obviously not the owner’s fault). It generally stopped around 10PM and was peaceful after that. Daytime was very quiet, we never saw another person! Overall a clean, cute cabin for a couple to enjoy a quiet stay. Port Jefferson is nearby for shops and restaurants. Would go back!

Cozy cabin on a beautiful lake, great for the price

The cabin was charming and the backyard is very peaceful with the lake. Our dog was able to come which was great, though if you have a larger dog it may be a tight space. It is definitely as described, and is a great way to visit Long Island on a reasonable budget. We were able to take a day trip out east easily, and were not far from other nice spots to visit on the island as well.

COVID-19 Cabin fever so we went to this cabin

Perfect getaway for my family of three. We were able to use WiFi and get work done in the morning and night and then hike at some of the beautiful nature trails near by. Peaceful back yard on the lake. Really nothing negative.

Beautiful and Serene

The perfect little retreat for some peace and serenity. The property was immaculate and the lake is just picturesque. Definitely would recommend this place.. and if you like nature check out Quogue Wildlife Refuge while you are there. You are in for a treat!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin is immaculate... great spot to relax. Quiet neighborhood overlooking a pond. Owners were very attentive. Easy to get to restaurants. Excellent weekend. Look forward to coming in the summer.

Long Island Trip

We went to Long Island for my husband’s work. Since we were staying for 7 days, we didn’t want to stay in a hotel. So happy we found this cabin to rent. It was perfect for the two of us. Everything was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. We were pleasantly surprised that there was also milk in the refrigerator as we had forgotten to stop and buy some. We also loved watching the swans on the lake behind the house. Would definitely stay here again!
