We had a great family getaway in Michigan City! The home was spacious and worked well for our group—my family, my sister’s family, and our mom. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and the layout gave us space to enjoy time together while also having room to spread out.The location was decent with a short walking distance to the beach and down to the beachwalk resort and its amenities.We did run into a few minor issues during our stay. The front door lock was unreliable, and a couple of times we had to walk around the block and 4 flights of steps to get in through the back door because the front door would not work. The TV was tricky to operate, requiring a call to the office for help. The outside could use a little TLC—there were overgrown weeds—and some areas inside felt a bit dusty. The basement bunk room had a large sticky sheet acting as a window blind, but it kept falling off. Installing proper blinds or a curtain would be a much better long-term solution.Overall, we had a great time and made some lasting memories. With a few simple improvements, this home could be an even better rental for families.
