Ruth Lake Resort Motel Room # 5

  • Welcome to Ruth Lake Resort, a family-owned and operated roadside motel and cabin resort!! A premier destination for four-season recreation with 200’ of sandy frontage on Ruth Lake. Uniquely situated between Marquette and the Keweenaw Peninsula, open year-round for outdoor adventure enthusiasts, family vacations, and tranquil getaways. Clean and cozy, it has 2 double beds, a kitchenette stocked with coffee, and a full bathroom. Fishing, swimming, and watersport activities await you from our on-premises boat launch. Outdoor recreation opportunities abound in this region.

This is a suite with 2 double beds (one in a separate room), a sitting area, a kitchenette, and a dining area, part of a 3-unit “court-style drive-up motel from days gone by”. The resort includes several other cabins along with this 3-unit motel. The property is 2 full acres and features ample green space, as well as 200 feet of waterfront on Ruth Lake.

Along with your private suite with a kitchenette and full bath, there is shared outdoor space: the lakefront is available for your use, with 200 feet to enjoy. There is a patio by the water; bring your favorite lawn chair from home to relax by the shore. We do have a sandy beach, and it is a beautiful swimming lake. We have a very nice lawn leading to the water with a patio to relax on and a fire pit for evening marshmallow roasts. We also have our own boat launch for you to launch your fishing boats and kayaks, with kayaks/paddle-boards available. Garage space for rainy-day activities.

Sauna w/ change room, fire pits, tandem kayak, covered outdoor kitchen, and socializing area (perfect for a small family event or socializing with other guests). Ice Maker in the shared garage kitchen.

We are right off of US 41, which will take you anywhere you want to go. Access out the door to Trail 8 for snowmobiling and ATV rides. The North Country Trail is a short distance for miles of hiking. Launch a small boat from our private boat launch for fishing or use the larger public launch for larger boats. Additional connecting Lakes by kayak are Lake George, Beaufort, and Petticoat.

You will receive check-in instructions sent via email the morning of check-in and check-out instructions sent via email the night before check-out.

We are a self-check-in! Ensure you check your email for instructions the morning of check-in!

Great place to stay at. We had no TV. We were told it was cloudy out and there is no tv when that happens. Isn’t that 90% of the year in the upper peninsula.

Beautiful little spot

we stopped here on our way up from the lower peninsula to porcupine Mountain State Park. Nice little restful spot to chill out on the beach and enjoy the lake and sauna. We loved that there were paddle boards and kayaks available for us to use. Awesome sunset spot.A fire pit available, but we did not use it. but really not too loud or disturbing. Easy check-in. Easy check out. Had what we needed. The cabin that we chose was listed as two rooms with two beds, which technically is accurate, but be aware that one of the beds is located in the main living area with the couch, TV and kitchenette, while the other bed is located in an actual separate bedroom. it wasn’t a problem, just be aware.
