Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was not as pleasant as I had hoped. The room was disappointing—the mattress was uncomfortable, and the sofa bed’s mattress was even worse: hard and old. I also noticed that a painting was missing from the wall, only to later find it stored in the closet. The coffee machine was another letdown; I wasn’t sure if it made me want to brew a cup of coffee or take a trip to the supermarket to refill it. The bathroom lacked attention to detail—bath amenities were placed without care, and there wasn’t even a glass to hold toothbrushes, which felt quite unhygienic. The luxury is in the details, and unfortunately, this hotel is in dire need of renovation. Everywhere you look, something is broken, from room features to the loungers by the pool. That being said, the staff is truly outstanding—friendly, professional, and offering top-notch service. The hotel’s location is another highlight, surrounded by nature that almost insists you come back, despite the lack of attention to maintenance.

Great respite!

We just needed a getaway from our work & the cold weather. We didn’t realize that the VRBO was just a regular hotel room, but it sufficed. We appreciated being able to use all the amenities that the Ritz Carlton had to offer. We loved being able to walk to all the local restaurants! The location was perfect!

Disappointed

The Ritz is generally an above standard property. This one is not. The room is in rough shape: Adjoining room door does not lock. Mico is falling off of the cabinet. Fridge does not cool and freezer is inop. Chairs are stained. Bed is nearly on the floor and the left side is damaged. I would not stay at the property again.

Disappointed!!!

The bed squeaked any time you rolled over, lifted an arm! The carpet had stains! The bed linens had stains! The coffee maker had no regular coffee, only decaf! The hotel refused to replenish because this was a VRBO rental. The light in the bathroom needed a new light bulb! One of the telephones did not work…..I will not use VRBO again! I took a friend and was totally embarrassed!

The room itself was not up to the Ritz standard. A good cleaning to remove the food from the walls in the mini kitchen area, and baseboards need to be painted/cleaned (an inch of dust). The shower is clogged, and the water did not drain properly. The bathroom could be updated like the other rooms at the Ritz, overall updating e.g. painting and cleaning would be ideal to meet the standard of the Ritz. The Ritz~Carlton hotel amenities were on par and the reason for booking the room. Pros: the room comes with parking which is easy and accessible.

The property is First-Class. I itemized to the owner/representative our disappointments with 4 room key malfunctions(one causing us to miss a Family/Charity boat ride). The other issues were a parking garage card we never found until the last day, no ice maker in the fridge, and lack of coffee 'pods' for our 8 day stay. The owner's statement to the Guests needs to be updated to inform their guests regarding these deficiencies. I responded to their inquiries and would appreciate acknowledgment of our less than perfect expectations. The Ritz~Carlton reputation was lacking. Thank you for your attention.

Ritz Carlton Escape

This room was as advertised. We had a beautiful room on the 10th floor with a direct view of the ocean. The room was spacious and clean. We had a parking space in the hotel garage and had full access to all the amenities of the hotel (except, weirdly, when we asked for some extra shampoo they said they couldn’t provide it to us- so bring your own!). We will definitely stay here again!

Solid Stay

The room was just as described. Pull out couch was easy to set up for our kids (ages 3 and 5). Wish there were 4 pillows and 4 towels (there were only 3 of each so the kids had to share a pillow and a towel for showering) but we made it through. I agree on the listing that you should plan to bring your own toiletries, however there were plenty of blow dryers and a travel pack-n-play which aren't usually available for these types of rentals. This is our 2nd VRBO at the Ritz Residences in Key Biscayne and it's a great location. You can charge things to your room as if you were a regular hotel guest. Our favorite part is having your own key entry to the garage (& elevator access from the garage direct to your floor) so you don't have to wait for valet or mess with the lobby. Early Check In: We tried early check-in but never heard back from the property manager in time to do it. We hung around the hotel instead, but would have rather changed in the room vs. the lobby bathrooms. Again, not the end of the world, but would have been a nice bonus if we could have had quicker turn around on messages back and forth. Overall, solid stay with little ones in a secure and quiet location.

The condo is beautiful. Furnishings were in great shape and we had everything we needed. Check in was easy and we felt very spoiled throughout our stay! Quentin checked in on us before and during our stay to make sure we were comfortable and didn't have any questions. We would definitely recommend it!

Great location but ……

Perfect location spectacular view but the suite needs freshen up. Coat paint would be enough, evidence of wear. The bed squeaks and could use an upgrade as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return!
