When we arrived to check in, there was a young family with three kids already there who had booked it that day. We called "Christopher" and he did not know what happened, was flummoxed as to what to do, and not very helpful. Our reservations were made 2 months plus earlier but we could not see forcing the young family out and they were also adamant about not leaving since they had been drinking and were not in a condition to leave. We finally voluneered to find other alternatives for three days (the other family's booking) and would then return. Christopher assured us we would be compensated. After a week of badgering after we had left the house, I finally got a note from Christopher saying we would be getting a 450 refund, When it finally showed up on our credit card, the amount was 387. We got no apologies or thanks for our gesture of leaving. We got no additional monies beyond the daily rate refund. According to what Christopher told us, VRBO was not cooperative nor helpful.Having said all this, once we were in the house, it was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was pretty sparse in supplies and there were no condiments of any type, even salt and pepper. Had probably the nicest leather couches I have ever seen, let alone in a rental house.
