Good house for a business retreat

Lots of different spaces to meet and collaborate throughout the home - many bedrooms and bathrooms as advertised. Light on serving pieces and cooking utensils but most groups are probably eating out anyway. Worked well for our group and the hosts were very responsive.

Spacious but Quirky

We were pleased with our stay for the most part. Edgar was very friendly. communicative and flexible with check in/out times. He also had the pool and hot tub heating up upon our arrival. And he gave us a thorough walk through. The house had lots of nice features. We loved the beautiful backyard, the sound system, the game tables, the size of the kitchen, the large sub zero fridge and separate freezer, two dishwashers. But with a high end price, not all of our high expectations were met completely. Our first impression as we entered the gate was that the front could use a bit of a facelift-dingy old-style stucco should be refreshed, standing water in big pots with dead plants should be attended to. Inside, wood floors were deeply scratched, kitchen had no platters or baking sheets, or foil/bags/plastic wrap and only had eight wineglasses. We did call to request enough for our party on 21 but only received eight or so more. The master was ginormous. A really long walk from bathroom to closet. Speaking of bathrooms, although there is a nice bedroom downstairs, there was only a half bath. No shower! So our guests had to either go upstairs or into the separate casita which seemed like an invasion of privacy. Also, some of the upstairs bedrooms had en-suites and others had to awkwardly ask to use their neighbors en-suite or go to the only bathroom accessible for all which was at the end of the hall and between two bedrooms. A floor plan would have been nice for assigning rooms.

Best Miami rental!

This home is even more beautiful in person! One of the owners walked us through upon arrival and he was very quick to respond to any of my questions. The house was very clean and the beds were all very comfortable. There is also plenty to space to spread around and not feel like you’re on top of each other. We had a group of 14 guests to celebrate my 40th and this home allowed us to enjoy our stay in Miami. The set up outside is perfect and relaxing with the pool and hot tub and several hangout areas. All of our guests had comfortable bedrooms and the kitchen was very well equipped and spacious. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Villa

Great Weekend Getaway for a Large Group

We had a great time at this property with 20 people, plenty of room, great house and we used the dock to get pickup up by boat. Edgar (the house manager) was great, helped with anything we needed and had amazing communication.

Better than Described

Our group of 10 stayed in the Villa for 5 days and didn't want to leave. The pictures don't do the property justice. I was skeptical with booking because they looked like the house may be outdated but it really is just the architectural style, the actual condition and finishes of the house are beautiful and we were pleasantly surprised. To top it off the service was top notch, the manager Edgar was communicative and responsive and was able to setup a private chef for our stay. Don't hesitate to book, we will definitely be back.

Amazing stay!

This was a great property and a great vacation for our family. The proximity to Miami bay was great for renting boats and jet skis. The house was enormous, but felt warm and cozy. Pool table and outdoor shaded ping pong table were a big hit with the kids. So was the large pool and hot tub. Extra guest houses came in handy for extra guests and staff. Also, was a nice neighborhood to walk around. The property manager was very accommodating to our needs and made adjustments as we needed.

Great house but needs some work

Overall the house is fantastic. It's not in a great location as it's clearly the nicest house on the block. That being said the property needs to be brought up to date based on the rates they're charging. Many electrical outlets didn't properly function somewhere hanging out of the wall the jacuzzi didn't work properly. One of the two dishwashers didn't work and since we had a big group that was an issue. In addition there was a lot of the ceiling vent grills that were covered in dirt. They need to be vacuumed and cleaned at least a couple few times a year. The gas grill outside worked but not well and it was so greasy I had to scrub it before I used it. That needs to be cleaned every single time someone uses it.

Wonderful week at Villa Calabassas

We had a great week hosting executive meetings at the Villa. 10 bedrooms meant we could not only host everyone at the house - we were able to hold covered outdoor meetings and easily move to team building activities afterwards. Communication with the owners was seamless and we had a wonderful time - 10/10 will be back.

4 Stars - Great!

4 stars. This house is excellent and should be deserving of 5 stars. We were a group of 13 and it fit us perfectly. Amazing location. House size is wonderful. However, there were a few minor issues when we stayed. While these are minor issues, when paying top dollar, we expect to receive top of the line service. There were gardeners working on two days during our stay. There were boat dock workers also working. That wouldn't leave even when we asked them nicely. The pool was not heated during our stay. The hot tub heater shut off after 2 hours and had to be manually set during our stay. It should be noted that the concierge was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We really appreciated them and their efforts. Thank you!

A Bit of Paradise at Villa Calabassa on the Water

I hosted my girlfriend’s birthday party here with our closest friends. First, the mansion and property provided an incredible, idyllic setting for a romantic and intimate birthday celebration. The mansion is simply stunning with the owners paying attention to every detail. The owner /host provided an unbelievably dedicated level of unprecedented service from accommodating and greeting us upon arrival at 3:40AM EST to arranging personal concierge services for yacht rental and a private chef. The hospitality was incredible, the property more beautiful than the pictures resulting in an extremely wonderful rental experience! Highly, highly recommended!!!
