What an amazing cabin! It was super clean and fresh. Very private, with its own parking, outdoor area with fire pit, BBQ and hot tub! Really good location for exploring Sooke, Metchosin, and the surrounding area. It's right beside the Galloping Goose trail (an old rail trail), so bring your bikes!

Family Get-Together -- we were looking for something to accommodate a small family gathering (7 in all), and this place was perfect. We also booked "Matheson Lake Guest House" to accommodate sleeping arrangements. If you are looking for a quiet place to call your own, this is it. You feel like you are on your own little acreage! There were plenty of things to do around Metchosin, and Victoria was only a short drive away. Dave and Amanda were very easy to work with, and emails were always answered promptly. We will DEFINITELY visit again.

Super place. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Beautiful cabin, well appointed. Very responsive owner, even offered, without my asking, to pick me up from the bus stop. Absolutely recommended.

Cozy and enjoyed outdoor seating areas. Nice to have green grass and a private cedar hedge. Matheson Lake hike a nice 2 hour walk through the woods in the shade.VRBO site had wrong address online. Host texted me the correct address.

Quiet Peaceful Cabin in the Woods

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy cabin in the woods. It was clean with many personal touches. The hot tub was definitely a bonus. Love the wild life, deer, bunnies, frogs and the birds. Nothing says relaxed like drinking a coffee outside in the morning listening to the birds. Thank you to the hosts Amanda and Dave

The Perfect Getaway

The cabin is super comfortable and has everything you need. The space outside the cabin is beautiful. I enjoyed walking down and around the lake every morning. Amanda and Dave are very kind and helpful. We’re very grateful to them. It’s so peaceful there. We want to return.

A hidden gen

This was a perfect little hideaway. Very secluded, quiet, and super comfortable. We slept really well in the king sized bed. The owners live on the property, but they are up the road, and we never saw them. We really appreciated the privacy. Great hiking trails around the lake nearby for dog walks.

Great Metchosin Getaway

We've stayed at this great cabin 3 times thus far, and hope to return again sometime. The location is a wonderful base of operations from which to explore the many fabulous hiking trails nearby. The cabin is spacious and very well appointed. We loved the outdoor hot tub, even in the rain, and the very efficient wood stove inside added to the ambience.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cozy cabin. Very quiet, very clean, and very private. Close to many great trails and the quaint little town of Metchosin. We had such an enjoyable time, it was hard to leave. We would stay here again for sure.

Perfect

Hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and easy. They supplied things most wouldn't think to bring with them! And what they may not have can be found at the general store in town which is basically like a small town Walmart. They also have things you'd never think of but would be glad they have! Hot tub was great, loved the fire pit, the home layout was great... I wish it was my home! Hope to come back again someday.
