This is an off-season ski hotel. Bring your own food or eat before you get there because there is nothing nearby. Room was clean, but property is old and creaky, with thin walls and floors.

There wasn’t a kitchenette or portable fan which I saw on the site but had everything we needed. Cracked the windows which allowed cool air in the evenings. Loved the room setup.

Worked Well
Sweet little lodge with mountain breeze freely flowing through surrounding aspen trees. Beautiful architectural vaulted highlights in common open spaces with specifically spaced portal type windows. Comfortable clean room with 2 double beds and 2 bathrooms with showers. Plenty of space to hang clothes and setup luggage on provided rack. Small refrigerator and microwave provided. Worked well. Needs a small coffee maker or at least one in a common area. Plenty of beauty to encounter outdoors in this area. Worth the stay!

Thank you for your kind review. We agree the location is beautiful on the mountain next to the ski resort, and the summer months are some of the most pleasant times to be there.

Booked a room for a resort that was shut down
We arrived at the property around 9 PM to check in and found it to be closed. It was locked up and a sign said it was scheduled for demolition in less than 2 weeks. It took us over 4 hours and cost almost $300 extra to find an available hotel room for the night. Extremely disappointed.

Thank you for your message, we are sorry to learn weeks later you may have had a bad experience. The building/hotel is not slated to be demolished, we are unclear where that message might be posted. If you could please let us know, we will be sure to remove it. We did not receive a phone call or message from you about arrival issues. Door access codes were sent to you prior to your arrival date, we operate as a self check-in facility. Could you help us understand why it has taken almost 3 weeks to be alerted of your concerns of your stay please? Thank you.

Hi. Thanks for staying with us. We have replaced the propane tank for outdoor cooking during the summer months.

Very old and dated property, our ceiling light was hanging on by a thread, shower went from cold to burning hot without warning, shower was clean but stained. No hair dryer in room, which was disappointing for a ski resort. Continental breakfast was one box of cereal and some packaged sticky buns that were expired (which says a lot considering the shelf life on those things!). Pros: good communication with property, on-site parking, close to the lift, reasonable price. If you aren’t picky, are budget conscious and want to be on the mountain it wasn’t awful, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay there again.

Conveniently located to ski Powderhorn. Place to sleep and literally roll out of bed and onto the slopes. Would stay there again made life easy.

So long Slopeside, had great memories here
Slopeside was clean, easy self checkin/checkout and great location. Hotel is ready for demo after Spring 2023..Too bad, I have stayed here before and it was a great family place. Bring your own microwavable food and drink, plates and silverware, chairs, table.

Thanks for staying with us. Glad you enjoyed the stay and all the snow this past weekend. The hotel will remain for a number of years more, we are working on redevelopment of the tiny home lot first. Hotel will be available for use the next few summers and ski seasons!

The property is going to be torn down. There was no hot water,lights were out in some areas in room.it was so bad I left the property before the second night and have asked for a refund of the second night. I cut my vacation short and cancelled my stay in Glenwood and went home. A property like this should not be a part of your service and if I don't get the refund it really makes you look bad. Oh well.

We attempted multiple times to communicate with you during your stay. Our property manager knocked on your door, could hear people in the room, but did not get a response from anyone in the room. We would have been happy to assist you to resolve things that are a concern such as volume control on Roku remote (side of remote) or hot water (it does need to run through pipes when building is less occupied during weekdays), or change lightbulb (spares onsite). The powder was fantastic again this week. Thanks for staying with us.

We love simple and convenient, and this stay met our expectations. Local staff was kind and very attentive. The property sits literally at the bottom of the ski hills. Saturday night community dinber was excellent. Snack bar loaded with goodies sits above the rooms with impressive views. We will stay here again!

Slopeside worked well for my son and I. The best feature of Slopeside is location and that was most important to us. Basic accomodations but literally just steps to the main lift. Self check-in was super easy too. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

They gave very detailed instructions on where to find the entrance and how to get into the property. Although we almost got locked out of our bathroom and didn't have a front desk to go to, we had a very nice stay.
