Cozy with built-in Entertainment
We love Bird TV. Predators have eyes in front; prey has eyes on the side. The cabin itself is beautiful. The location is convenient to everything. Winter visitors will especially appreciate that the floors are heated.

Beautiful home was so comfortable and bright. 4 large bedrooms. Very functional with space for stuff before walking into wood floors. But I loved the birds and the view from kitchen table window. Skiing at Powderhorn so close. Would rent this home again.

Great house and location
We stayed here for our Christmas holiday. The house has a great layout and was perfect for our family. It was stocked with everything you could need. The location is only a few minutes from Powderhorn Ski Resort. It snowed about 14” while we were there and my kiddos loved playing in all that snow on the property and skiing on the fresh powder. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Setting!
The scenery and setting of this cabin are gorgeous! It is well kept and clean. The owners have made this cabin feel like home away from home, stocked with everything needed. It has artistic touches everywhere! We loved that! Donna was such a great support when I called her! Quick, and easy! We would come back again! Serene, majestic home away from home!

Cozy Cabin
This cabin is beautiful! Very family friendly and close to ski resort. The cabin is very spacious and rooms are private enough from the other rooms, as well. The owners are very responsive which is crucial for out of towners like us! In fact- our car got stuck in the snow trying to get out of their driveway & they were extremely helpful in getting us out! They did more than they should have. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Clean, well equipped, large but cozy, beautiful easily accessed location.!
As a first time user of Vrbo I was anxious but the process of renting this place was not difficult. The owners made it easy to communicate with and helpful in finding activities. It was a wonderful experience for our family and I will be doing this again in the future!

Family getaway
We had a great stay. The house was great for our needs. Easy access to hiking, biking, fishing. The kids loved sitting around the fire pit at night. We would stay here again.

A Perfect Getaway Retreat
My husband and I, our son, his wife and their 3 boys had a wonderful, relaxing time on the Grand Mesa in this beautiful log home! I honestly didn't know the home was going to be as nice as it is. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is fully equipped, everyone thought the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of supplies. The owners were also very responsive. Would highly recommend this home for a family/friend getaway!

My in-laws were here from South Africa and we wanted to share the western slope with them, this cabin was the perfect place to stay. Beautiful welcoming home, and the owners Donna and Rick were great to deal with! Would definitely recommend!!!

Perfect getaway, close to Grand Mesa Recreation area
The location of this comfortable and spacious home is perfect for those looking for easy access to the hiking trails and lakes at Grand Mesa Recreation Area. Our family enjoyed the beautiful views and cozy, log cabin setting nestled in the trees. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful. A couple of things to mention: we had a party of 6 (3 adults/3 kids) and the space was more than adequate. There is a thousand-gallon cistern that provides the water for the home - showers, dishes, laundry, etc - and while we were concerned about running low on water, this wasn’t an issue. If you have a larger party, you may want to keep this in mind. And the mosquitoes!! Bring repellant! Lots of it! This part of Colorado is gorgeous and the Chickadee Ranch is a perfect place to stay while you explore the area!

Chicadee Ranch
Had a wonderful stay at the log cabin. This is an exsquisite example of fine wood working art at its best. The cabin was warm with radiant floor heat. We enjoyed the craftsmanship of the cabin along with little pieces of artistic expression everywhere we turned. Everything in this place is custom built.. This is a very casual home, just the way we like it.

Convenient to Grand Mesa National Forest
We enjoyed a summer family vacation (all adults) in this comfortable log cabin home. Convenient to Grand Mesa National Forest - Crag Crest trail is a must! Minutes to Powder Horn ski resort. Plenty of room for the five of us. We enjoyed using the large dining room table for puzzles and games. Hosts were very gracious in providing us with information about nearby trails and answering other questions about the property prior to our arrival. Kitchen was well equipped. WiFi was very slow. Only one of the two showers was operable which was a bit inconvenient. One of the bedrooms was lacking in privacy due to an architecturally interesting cut out that allowed a view to the family room below. No doubt useful for air flow, but a little unusual. Overall a very comfortable house with a large deck for enjoying the outdoors in the afternoon and evenings.

We were delighted with the cabin (house) -- everything from the beds to the deck to the spacious mudroom for our bikes. It was comfortable with an everything-you-need kitchen where we did lots of cooking. Fabulous home. Thank you.

Fun Family Get Away
I had a long weekend with my family to ski at Powderhorn. The house is super close to the resort and easy to get in and out of. With 4 bedrooms (bunkbeds in one room), we had plenty of room for everyone. The house is very beautiful, unique and well maintained. Communicating with the hosts was a piece of cake and we'd love to come back for another visit next year!

This was an amazing ski getaway for my family. Everything was perfect. We had lots of snow and the resort was less than a 2 minute drive to the lift! Thank you so much for helping make our family vacation absolutely amazing!

Great Place to Relax or Use as a Base Camp for Mountain Adventures
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We didn't know what to expect as there were no reviews and only a few pictures. There were some really thoughtful features such as a heated mud room area that you could use to take off your snow boots and such in the winter or enjoy bug protection in the summer. You will enjoy exploring all of the interesting decor and features of this cabin. The owner responded to our questions ahead of arrival with detailed explanations and a willingness to work with some of our special circumstances. They are continuing to improve their facility and make it even better. This place receives our stamp of approval.
