Fantastic Property

I rented this home with a group of friends and it was an amazing stay! I was surprised with the size of the pool which was much larger than expected. The whole home is really wonderful and I would go back again in a heartbeat!

Grand Cedar Lodge

My family and I had a wonderful time in this truly accommodating house. The indoor pool was a hit with the grandsons. They really thought of everything to make each and every guest feel at home. We will keep this home in mind for our next trip to Wisconsin.

Amazing property & hosts

We love staying at the ranch. It's very cozy, comfortable, and refreshing. If you just want to sit by the fire and read a book, or play games or sit on the deck overlooking the woods, it has it all! And the pool and hot tub are an amazing amenity that we all enjoyed. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Tim & Jessie are excellent hosts.

Clean, Cozy & Quiet

We had a wonderful weeklong experience at this property. It was just as described, very clean, cozy and the hosts were wonderfully responsive. This was a perfect spot for a business retreat for our small company to focus and enjoy the peace and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need. The pool is a wonderful amenity and the wood burning fireplace was a perfect addition to the winter stay.

Annual family vacation

Very nice. No one's fault but the mosquitoes were awful, so we stayed indoors more. Would have liked to have had TVs in the bedrooms. But the place was great! Pool was great!!

Excellent place for a Extended Family Vacation!

We had 3 families staying here and had plenty of space! Big rooms with big beds, large dining table which was great for family meals. Fire pit outside and chairs to sit outside on the large deck. Our favorite was the indoor pool! Having an indoor pool really came in handy with the air quality alerts, we didn’t have to go anywhere! Excellent property, we hope to be back again!

Perfect Ski Weekend Getaway

This place is amazing and perfect for families. The 3 levels make it nice for a bigger group to spread out. Between the pool and hot tub, everyone was entertained! It’s a great location, only 10 minutes from Devils Head for skiing and also only 15 minutes from Devil’s Lake State Park. Has all the amenities needed. Kitchen is fully stocked and made it easy to cook for a larger group. Host was very responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to book again!

Amazing swimming pool!

We stayed in June 2023. I can't say enough about how kind and helpful Jesse was during our stay. We had three families and each had their own level. Really neat window in the main living room overlooking that awesome indoor swimming pool. We swam once or twice a day! The well supplied kitchen made it easy to cook meals. This is a beautiful country setting and we highly recommend it.

Relaxing Reunion

We got a group of old friends together - all now with little babies and kids. This was the perfect spot to reconnect with our little families. The space is beautiful, offers great rooms to be together as well as space to spread out, and of course has the awesome pool and hot tub for daily activities. We didn't have to go anywhere-seriously! Rooms are very comfortable and well thought out and the house is stocked well also, which was just an added bonus. There are small touches of hospitality everywhere. We would recommend this place to anyone!

Great Winter Escape

The room was great for our three young families to be together. The pool is large and the water and room are warm. The kids and adults alike loved the hot tub on a cold winter night. We went on a hike at Parfrey Glen and spent a day skiing at Cascade. The house was remote, but close to lots of entertainment and amenities (like Instacart delivery). The owners were very responsive to any questions we had and the house was stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend!

GLC is an amazing getaway

There are so many great things to say about the lodge. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle, unwind, relax, rest, reflect, and restore your soul. It's absolutely beautiful with an amazing indoor pool, big windows facing the east, a cozy fireplace and our favorite, sitting in the hot tub at night under the stars.Each years is full of wonderful memories here. ABSOLUTELY recommend. The host, Tim & Jessie, are fantastic.We would give more than 5 stars if they'd allow us. 👍🏼

Nice Property & Stay

Our stay got off to a little rocky start with an untimely snow storm which took out the power in the area including the cabin. It was really easy and smooth working with Tim the property manager. He kept us posted on everything. My sisters families and mine ended up coming the next morning. The stay was great, the kids had a great time swimming, etc. Beautiful property. Tim also helped us get refunded the night we were unable to come due to the power, which was much appreciated! Thanks again for a nice stay! Will

This VBRO got it right!

This place is awesome! Very private - beautiful - serene - offers a million amenities - so comfy - kitchen was so cool - bedrooms/bathrooms were soooo luxurious - hot tub - but the indoor pool was gigantic, clean, and so worth it for it's privacy and ability to swim whenever you want. As a family of 8 adults and 4 grandchildren - we were so comfortable and loved being able to share the same space. And let's not forget the hosts. They made our entire vacation wonderful - from the welcome basket to the good-bye's. Very hands on - just mention anything and problem solved. We felt very pampered. Since this was so great in the summer, I can imagine that it would be equally great in the winter. To be able, in the snow and cold, to cozy up to 2 fireplaces - all of that comfy furniture - indoor pool - outdoor hot tub - and enjoy all of the skiing and activities the area has to offer - well it just sounds like a reason to look forward to winter... drl - minneapolis mn

Exceeded expectation!

We had high expectations for this rental and it didn’t disappoint. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised that it exceeded our expectations! We spent a long weekend as an extended family of 10, including four children under 6. While we had a high hopes of winter outdoor fun, Mother Nature didn’t cooperate but it didn’t matter as we found plenty to keep us busy the whole weekend. The pool is fantastic-large, plenty of fun equipment is provided and it was heated to our request and was the perfect temperature. The hot tub was great too, providing a spectacular view as an added bonus. The kitchen was well appointed, also exceeding expectations. We cooked every meal on sight and never once wanted for any cooking needs. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of towels, including pool towels, board games, very comfortable living room spaces, everything we could have asked for a wonderful family weekend. Tim was a dream to work with. I couldn’t recommend this property enough. We will definitely be back!

GCL Never Disappoints!

Our family was back for our second stay at GCL over the MLK weekend and it didn't disappoint! This is a gem of a property and Tim and Jessie are fantastic to work with. There happened to be a snow storm this weekend which just made the stay even more magical. To be snowed in at this location was just fantastic! Everything is great from the beds to the kitchen (which is appointed with everything you need) to the pool room. We had no reason to leave for the whole weekend which was good because we couldn't! This was a grandparents, children and young grandchildren weekend which included 10 of us. There is so much space in this place, the kids could run around and the adults weren't much bothered by it. Can't say enough about the pool room, where we spent most of our time over the weekend since the temps were too frigid to be outside for long. The temps in the pool were perfect, not too many chemicals in the water, and the slide and diving board were a big hit from the oldest to the youngest among us. The house and the grounds are just beautiful. Thank you to Tim and Jesse for providing us with the perfect family outing! We are already planning our trip for next year!
