"Probably the best motel I’ve ever stayed at. Nice big room, very clean, very helpful and friendly owner and staff. Excellent bathroom and kitchenette. Netflix loaded on the tv and you don’t need to use your own login. Walking distance to Merivale shops and short Ubers to Christchurch city centre. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again"

"Great stay"

"Such a lovely place to stay. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. The room and amenities are in excellent condition. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was warm and comfortable with the most amazing pillows. The room is very quiet and we hand a sound sleep. We will absolutely stay again."

"Have stayed various times through the years. Aged now needs complete renovation now. Great position."

"El Motel tiene una buena localización, pero desde mi punto de vista está muy anticuado y necesita una renovación profunda. El estilo Tudor se podría mantener, pero creo que sería necesario acometer una buena renovación integral de las habitaciones. "Very helpful staff. We needed a fan as our room had no air conditioning. They bought us a decent sized fan which was great. The washing machine was wonderful as we were there for 5 days and washing powder was provided. We stayed in the accessible room as Im in a wheelchair. Lots of grabrails in the bathroom and room for the chair. I thought the whole room was set out well for a wheelchairGreat pub on the corner for food, Jimmy's across the road also great food, liquorland 1 minute walk...

"Todo muy normal"

"Excellent hotel, tidy and great location!"

"Nice place"

"It looks as if the place was reasently renovated. It is well decorated and furnished. TV still old. But new Skyview. Parking is right in front of unit."

"Todo bien "

"I stayed on the bottom floor. My room was nice, recently updated, great bed and bathroom. But unfortunately I could hear a lot of noise from upstairs (water in the pipes, movement etc) as well as street noise which made it difficult to go to sleep. I recommend asking for a room on the top floor. Be aware there is limited on site parking. There is street parking but there are time limits during the week."

"Location was excellent & quiet."
