The bathroom had not been cleaned properly, long thick hair everywhere inside the shower base and on the floor, dust and hair on floor under long basin/benchtop, sand all around the shower and door way. Dust very thick on the light fittings in hall way, the drawers had insects and rubbish inside of them... would not put clothing inside that drawer ever.
Fingernails on the carpet next to/around the bedside table. Sand on the doona cover in main bedroom, we had not been to the beach before we arrived.
No one bothered sweeping doorway and mat to the back entrance. The microwave had crumbs in it, the base of the fridge had not been cleaned from previous tenants. The oven door did not open without hitting the door frame - squashed against wall, dangerous.
Have stayed many times at "Aquarius Resort", owned by different tenants to these units and always very clean and hygenic. This was very poor, are the cleaners away on holidays? Gives the Resort a bad name. Not even a fresh lot of linen offered for bedding after the first week, as would be offered in any apartment/hotel/cabin - very lacking in personal service for holiday makers.
Requested a receipt for the original invoice of payment, have not received this yet. Also, there is nowhere a mention of the 30% payment up front for accomodation - prior to booking, not printed on the website on Wotif - should be printed on booking
