It was perfect!Close to the downtown activities but without the noise. (A big plus for us).House was squeaky clean. The communication with the owners was top notch. We LOVED it! Best VRBO we have stayed at, so far. The owners drafted an entire Merida guidebook which really helped us get started with what we wanted to prioritize as we were only staying for a week!

Quick stay - but should have made it longer!

This property was absolutely better than advertised - IT WAS GORGEOUS Check in was a breeze, amenities spotlessly clean, well appointed, super comfortable bedroom & the surrounding neighborhood is so quiet (so much more than my home in the US).Highly recommend this place and will definitely want to stay here again when I return to further enjoy Mérida!!!I lived this

Casa Gatita perfect for a stay in Merida

I was in Merida for a getaway in which I sought to explore the town and the broader area. Casa Gatita was perfect relative to my needs. The place is a fully renovated colonial home. Everything in it was modern and comfortable. The plunge pool was particularly excellent after a hot day or exploration. I would stay again and recommend the place to anyone who seeks a home-like refuge while in Merida.

It was what was offered. Beautiful home. Great location. We could walk to all the happings around town. The private dinner we had with their chef was a absolutely a great experience. We would stay again.

A charming place

The Casa Gatita is a lovely little place. The barrio Santiago is a great place to stay to enjoy Merida. Many places of interest nearby. There were problems with the water, but Beto handled them immediately, so we didn't mind. We recommend this place highly.

Perfect!

My husband and I came for a weekend and LOVED this little house! We appreciated all of the extra amenities and the plunge pool. Air Con worked great, as well as fans. The management was super helpful and prompt in responding to any questions. Location was PERFECT. We could walk anywhere in town! LOVED our stay. Thank you!

Fantastic!

Casa Gatita is hands down one of the BEST vacation homes I have stayed in. I worked remotely for the week of my stay and can say everything went seamlessly. WIFI was always excellent. Manager Beto kept in constant contact with me to ensure I was comfortable and answered any questions or concerns I had. I can't say enough positive things about the Burro y Flauta team. You are within walking distance to several restaurants and bakeries. I highly recommend Pan Elena Vales. I purchased fresh pastries from them daily. About a 5 min walk from the casa. IMO, the casa is perfect for a solo travel, or a couple. Lots of space between the two levels, and I loved the decor of the entire. I appreciated all of the unique art and furniture throughout. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom itself was extremely spacious. Also, it was nice to have a half bath on the ground level, in additon to the main shower/restroom down the hall from the bedroom. Cooking was a breeze. Excellent coffee maker. The AC units and ceiling fans were a godsend. Not to mention the wonderful private pool. The laundry room was perfect for preparing my clothes for my trip home after my 2 weeks in Quintana Roo and the Yucatan. I would 1000% percent stay at Casa Gatita again, as well as any other property ran by this company. They are fantastic people. My one recommendation for improvement would be to have the sectional cushions re-stuffed. Parts of the sectional have a sinking aspect to the seat.

Refugium in einer quirligen Stadt

Casa Gatita war genau so wie online beschrieben. Unaufdringlicher aber perfekter Service. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen zu Fuß in der Stadt oder mit dem Auto in die Umgebung. Wir haben 1Woche sehr genossen.

Excellent house for a couple. Close to Mercado de Santiago and easy walking distance to centro restaurants. Garage is a certain plus for those with a car. Cleaning and pool service bi- weekly was perfect for our needs. Highly recommend Casa Gatita!

It was an awesome experience. We were close - basically a stone thrown away - of Parque Santiago, Santa Lucía, the Plaza Central and everything we wanted to do. The place has a homey feeling and is absolutely gorgeous!

Our stay at the house cat

We loved the house. We enjoyed our time there. It was close to everywhere we wanted to be. Uber got us around everywhere we were right in Centro . We loved being able to wash our cloths. I want the same exact washer and dryer it works so good. What ever we needed it was there at the house. Customer service was excellent. We will be back to stay again. If not this house other houses with this owner. Thank you so much. We enjoyed our vacation

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Merida and staying at Casa Gatita made it feel like home. It is a beautiful home and very well appointed and maintained. The location is great and within walking distance or a quick DiDi ride (like uber) to everything downtown. It's also on a quiet street which was nice for a good night's rest. We had everything we needed. The pool was great to take a dip in on hot afternoons and having the air conditioning both upstairs and down helped when the weather got really hot. The management company was very helpful with everything we needed and provided lots of excellent information about activities and dining in Merida as well as tours. We highly recommend Casa Gatita!

Sleek, modern sanctuary in Merida

My husband and I were very comfortable and happy in this immaculate rental. The owners/property managers seemed to think of everything a guest could need or want. The back courtyard was a quiet and cool respite during the heat of the day. The location was very close to the Plaza Grande and great restaurants and was perfectly quiet for the three days we spent there: Saturday night through Tuesday a.m. Beto, the property manager/concierge was delightful. Thank you for letting us stay in your fabulous home!

4 Days in Merida

We are Canadians who live in Puerto Escondido and had to go to Merida for our residency and we were pleasantly surprised not only by the city but by our accommodation at Barrio de Santiago. It is a hidden gem! The staff are all absolutely UNREAL. We did not go without anything. They had beers waiting for us AND we left a dress shirt there which they so kindly couriered to us for next day delivery! We will 100% be staying here on our next trip to Merida! Lastly, the pictures on the site are exactly as shown which is always nice :) Michele & John

Great little house

It’s a very comfortable one bedroom. The main floor is a garage, an entrance hall, one common room of kitchen, living and a courtyard with a small pool. Upstairs one bedroom and bath. The Santiago market 2 blocks away is good for fresh fruit and veg as well as market restaurants. It’s perfect for a couple. The pool is small but was great for a dip to cool off on a warm afternoon. The kitchen was well equipped including decent knives! Coffee, salt, pepper and olive oil were provided. (It’s always frustrating to have to buy those things for a short stay) The garage is handy, only compact cars will fit. The online guidebook they provide is the best I’ve ever seen for a rental! I recommend this house and the Burro y Flauta team.

Excellent Property

Everything was tip top! We had Beto for our concierge and he was remarkable at his job. Communication was a breeze and it never took him more than 5 mins to reply back. Place was clean, inviting, and well-situated. The private pool was a blessing after a long, hot day out! Wifi was fast and reliable. The wall-mounted churrasqueira was very handy for a nice BBQ. There was an issue with the air con in the bedroom and they sent someone straight away to rectify the situation. There was, however, a dog next door that howled all night over the weekend, which kept us from a good night's sleep and just about tore our hearts out. We understand that that can be an issue sometimes in México, and there was nothing to be done. All in all a perfect stay. Highly recommend,
