Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home was cozy and comfy with everything we needed to relax. The views were amazing—beautiful to wake up to and even better to wind down with in the evenings. The location couldn’t have been better: peaceful, convenient, and close to everything we wanted to do.Tony is an awesome host—friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived.Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!

This is a great location with a fantastic view. The furnishings are worn and the kitchen is poorly outfitted if you want to cook anything. There were no pans for the oven and no hot pads.

The cottage was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Our contact person on arrival was very cordial and quick to respond, on arrival and departure. The TV never worked, but that really wasn't a big deal as we spent most time outside. The bed was really comfortable. However, we were a little dismayed to discover this was actually a duplex. The wall was thin enough we could hear snoring next door, and there was really little privacy sitting outside. The view was spectacular. I think there should be a little more transparency this a duplex. If possible, efforts should be taken to sound proof the units a little more. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Due to a water leak in my initial room I was moved next door to the larger part of the house. My stay was very restful and relaxing. I sat outside in the early mornings and early afternoons reading and enjoying the view. Cooling rains came each afternoon and loved the sound of the rain on the metal roof. The owner was very good at communicating regarding the changes in my booking and how to get in when I arrived.

Beautiful little cottage with amazing views. Perfect for a few day get away, when wanting to escape life and all its chaos. Clean, comfortable and quiet and throughly enjoyed watching the deer from the bed. Would most definitely stay again.

Wonderful cabin

It was a wonderful weekend in a fun cabin with a beautiful view. Only thing is that this is a Duplex with a thin wall and shared wall. Did not both us or affect our stay but I was surprised when we arrived

Do Not Touch!

This property is in a good location with a great view on the brow and is very well maintained. It really is a beautiful spot and cabin. However, the property manager or owner made it really difficult(impossible) to feel welcome. There were little notes/instructions everywhere inside. For example “ Don’t open the windows”, “Sugar Jar is for Looking only”, “ Don’t Change the Thermostat”, “ Don’t Lounge on the Throw Pillows”, etc. If the contact hadn’t been such a dilettante about arrival times and rules we would have assumed the instructions were meant to be comical/overkill. In summary, If you’ve been using VRBO for several years as I have you’ve probably run into this situation before: a great property/location that the owner really doesn’t want others in but needs the rental revenue so they try to over manage/ monitor every stay. Despite all the inherit positives, I would recommend avoiding this property until management/ownership changes or you see a few subsequent reviews that indicate a relaxing of their expectations.

Great Weekend Get-A-Way

We had a wonderful stay! We would definitely book again. My only minor complaint is that the building actually has two units and you share the backyard. This wouldn't be a big deal for us, but we could hear the neighbors snoring through the wall at night. We loved watching the sunset out back. We even saw deer in the yard. The decor and setup was really cozy.

Truth in details

Is it beautiful? Yes Is it quaint? YesIs it private? No, this is a duplex but is not noted anywhere on the property detail. They make it appear to be a stand alone "cottage" but it is not. This is part of a home that has been sectioned off into an in law suite type place. The brow view is gorgeous but not private. The furniture and decor are lovely, but need updating or fixed. The footboard of the bed is not attached but rather affixed to a small table to, i assume, hold it in place. The "fireplace" which is a wall propane/gas unit didnt work(which apparently is common after reading other reviews). Its frustrating that the host couldn't just explain check in to us but made us call upon arrival even though we would be arriving later than actual checkin.(we've been burned in the past by people not answering their phones when we arrive and having to wait to get in. Its getting to the point that vrbo may not be an app we use anymore. There seems to be a lot of truth missing in this listing so iust know its not private or secluded. You will be hearing the "neighbors"Also, YOU CANNOT TOUCH ANYTHING.Every thing has "do not touch" signs. Not very welcoming. Pretty location, cute decor, but you definitely need to update the details of the listing and tell people its a duplex

Mountainside Oasis

We enjoyed our stay. The view of the landscape below was amazing. There was a rustic feel to the residence and the amenities were inviting. Its location provided quick access to both Mentone and Fort Payne to visit local markets and eateries. The only thing I could remotely site as a negative was our ability to hear conversation/snoring of occupants in the adjacent spaceI. Aside from the I recommend booking a stay.
