Loved It!

Cabin was perfect for my trip with my son and his family to Mentone for my daughter’s wedding. I only wish we had more time together to enjoy the cabin and the beautiful area.

Nice stay

We enjoyed staying at the Dixieland Delight! The name of the cabin drew us to this place. And it fit our needs perfectly! Five of us old sisters, ages 67-75 enjoyed a few days of relaxation! Didn’t realize downtown is only open mainly on weekends, so we just visited the parks and really enjoyed the rest! We’ll be back!

Dixieland Delight was a true "Delight"!

Location was perfect, it was clean, beds were comfy, kitchen was well furnished and the fire pit was awesome!! We had a wonderful stay at this cabin!

Great cabin

Dixieland Delight was a true delight. The cabin was perfect size for our two families. Would love for it to have two Queen beds rather than one Full and one Queen, but the space was great. Fireplace was cozy and the large sofa fit most of our group. Location was excellent for us to be next to local family living there. We will rent this cabin again

The perfect getaway

The cabin was the perfect place for our reading getaway. There were plenty of places for us to spread out and read. The cabin was secluded enough to feel like we were miles away from civilization but close enough that we could visit some of the cute shops and restaurants in the area. Our stay was so nice and relaxing and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

The cabin is large and well apportioned. It has everything you would need. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in back porch listening to the birds. It has a large living room with a comfortable sectional with several recliners. A nice place to wind down at the end of the day. The two bathrooms are a nice plus. It is in a great area on top of Lookout Mountain. You are in the woods, but you are not isolated. It is a peaceful place. Lookout Mountain offers amazing views. It is close to parks and there is plenty of opportunity to spend time in the outdoors. We went on a few hikes, drove along the little river canyon for the driving tour and visited a few civil war battlefields nearby. You are close to Fort Payne, so there are some restaurants and things close by. We went to the Alabama fan museum (the band) when we had some down time. It was much more interesting than I expected reading about and looking at memorabilia from 3 local boys who made it big and moved back home.

Dixieland Delight is spot on.

Everything is as presented on the website. The place is beautiful, it makes for a great weekend get away. There are lots of wildlife around the cabin. The owners are as friendly as it gets and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!

Wonderful family spot!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful time in this adorable home in the woods. The home was clean, updated, and full of everything you would need when staying for a lengthy period of time. It was easy to communicate with the owner. It is near a beautful waterfall and yet has access to stores about 7 min away for any last minute grocery shopping. We would definitely stay there again!

Quiet and cute!

House and yard was beautiful! My 4 year old enjoyed the wooded area all around the cabin! House had everything we needed for a great vacation! The back porch was my favorite!! It rained a good bit while we were there and that back porch was so peaceful!!

Weekend in Mentone

We had a delightful weekend in Mentone at the Dixieland Delight cabin. We sat on the back screened porch and watched it rain while eating a meal on the table out there. It was a great location for us to be able to explore Mentone and Desoto Falls.

Great little weekend getaway

What a great place to stay. The cabin was just perfect. It was clean, well equipped, quiet, comfy beds, great water pressure, everything you need to build a fire and in a great location. I would book this place again for sure.

Mentone Spring Break

We stayed here for a couple of nights during spring break. The cabin and its location were great! We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, and the cabin was so cozy and had everything we needed. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Excellent Cabin

This cabin is wonderful. The inside is well laid out, clean, and has a lot of sitting areas. The outside of the property is just as wonderful. The land is relatively flat making it the perfect place for children to play, or if you have adults that have difficulty with steep terrain. The two porches and the fire pit area are perfect for making memories with the people you love.

Nice cozy cabin

Very cozy cabin. Neighborhood was exceptionally nice. Location was close to nearby attractions. Beds were comfy. Could use more detail on cleaning the floor in the main bathroom was covered with long black hairs. The area around the edge of the tub and toilet was covered in hairs. There was something white spilt on the floor in the kitchen area next to the bar. Sheets were left in the dryer. The bird food on the back porch was spilled out around it. The chairs to the patio table were all pulled out and just out of place. Over all nice place.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Dixieland Delight--three friends who ran the Lost Falls 50k and a few family members. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed, including plenty of dishes and high-quality pans for cooking. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with lots of wildlife.
