We booked 3 nights as a relaxing wine plantation stay after completing a 9 day cycling trip in Sicily. Perfect location for our exploration of the southern and western parts of Sicily. Highest marks for staff and accommodation as well as food. Easy car access to surrounding sights. We also booked 3 nights at their apartments in Palermo—also a treat in a modern apartment well equipped and on border of central city. Used their guide planner as well for an excellent half day walking tour of the city to get our bearings and for suggestions of what to see on our own. Check their website for details.

Peaceful Planeta
A truly amazing hotel in a peaceful country location not far from the beach. Has a sweet beach club but the loungers are not on the actual beach which is a shame, and the food menu there is very limited. The food at the hotel in both the pool bar and restaurant is amazing. Great quality and a good selection. There are specials everyday which is good as the place is quite remote so eating at the hotel in the evening is easier. The infinity pool is stunning as are the sunsets. Obviously the Planeta wines are a particular highlight and the staff are very knowledgeable. Breakfast is a buffet but because of covid they require you to select from a piece of paper rather than help yourself which was slightly annoying but I guess is the world we live in. Also annoying to have to pay extra for cooked items such as eggs. Overall I highly recommend

Il posto è meraviglioso, incantevole! La camera non l'abbiamo trovata adeguata. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo, in relazione ai servizi non è sicuramente adeguato. i servizi molto scadenti e la camera (con il bagno) avrebbero bisogno di essere sistemati e rimodernati.

Third visit to La Foresteria and even Covid-19 didn’t spoil our stay. The hotel’s precautions were very good and the service was great as usual. Alessandro was particularly helpful, his recommendations were all spot on. Can’t wait to stay again!

What a wonderful concept and location; use of local produce including their own excellent wines and olive oil. Exquisite! But where were the staff; excellent when present, but too many times they were not to be found. Very odd for somewhere that is so excellent in all other aspects.

Sin dalla accoglienza alla reception, dopo nella confortevole spiaggia privata sul mare e durante il soggiorno alla foresteria abbiamo avuto un impatto eccellente, cortese, raffinato col personale. Camere deliziose ed estremamente confortevoli. Sul ristorante sicuramente un voto non inferiore all'ottimo. Una delle mete che più gradevolmente ricorderò. Da raccomandare.

Vue magnifique sur la vallée et la mer. Menu dégustation en soirée est sublime. Le service est hors pair. Toutefois, la peinture des chambres et les salles de bain sont quelque peu défraîchies et le confort des lits laisse à désirer. La piscine est très agréable et vous serez pres de Selinunte qui vaut le detour pour son parc archéologique.

Overall a great place that offers a lot of activities like wine tasting, cooking with the chef and a private beach area nearby. Excellent food with various tasting menus available for dinner and a breakfast that suits both the mediterranean and the continental. Combining a more modern style than most places in Sicily with the traditional in a nice way.

Magnifica struttura immersa nella rilassante campagna a pochi minuti dal mare. Una bella vista su Porto Palo e un piacevole coinvolgimento degli aromi che provengono dal giardino. Bella piscina a sfioro sul verde della campagna. Camera grande, pulita, accogliente con alcuni accessori artigianali della zona. Location is great. Beautiful views. Staff attentive and kind. Room cleanliness could be better. Bed mattress was uncomfortable. Overall we loved our stay, however the value for money is very low. We stayed at nicer boutique hotels for 100-150 euros, and therefore 300 at this one seems overpriced.

Short but wonderful stay at the Planeta Estate in the Menfi area. We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed much longer. There is so much to do in the area from wine tasting to beaches to ruins. Or you could spend time relaxing at the property. They care about what they do here and it’s reflected in the attention to detail, the landscaping, and the food.

En fantastisk lille perle som ligger skønt med udsigt over vinmarker og havet. Maden er lavet af egen produktion af grøntsager og krydderurter og med omhu for at fremhæve den gode smag. Værelserne er flotte og rene og hele atmosfæren er afslappet og hyggelig. Et dejligt sted til voksenferie uden børn.

Beautiful hotel
This hotel is beautifully designed and beautifully located. They have built a terrace covered with herbs that is overlooked by the restaurant, so you eat your breakfast or dinner with the sight and scent of this in front you, and beyond that is incredibly beautiful scenery. It has a beautiful pool and bar, really fantastically good food (Angelo the chef is a marvel) which is both flavourful and delicate simultaneously (quite hard to achieve) and the service is faultless. It is small and welcoming and about 20 minutes from the beach. They also have a place at the beach which is wonderful as well, and you can change there and eat lunch there and get thoroughly looked after.

Beyond Expectation!!!
This oasis/resort is a dream! Particularly if your stay is preceded (as was ours) by lots of kinetic sightseeing and family gatherings. Suppose you could use it as a base but would be difficult so just enjoy because Planeta/La Forestaria epitomizes tranquil luxury--sort of 5-star agriturismo. The rooms are fabulous and well stocked; the surroundings are gorgeous: unobstructed views of the sea, vineyards and flowers and herbs with so many butterflies. The private beach is not close but well worth a visit. Wonderful but chilly pool. Great staff. Delicious cuisine. BEST!!
