Just a perfect place

This home met expectations in every way. The house is very roomy and cozy. Great setup for dogs! Incredible view. Very close to Ft. Bragg with the Skunk Train and yummy restaurants. I would stay here again! Thank you for everything, especially the welcome bottle of wine!

Perfect retreat

The house is inviting and comfortable with lovely ocean views! Well-appointed kitchen-perfect for our family get-together. Inviting inside and out. Short walk to the bluffs with spectacular ocean views. We had a wonderful time. This was our second time staying there.

Beautiful location!

Location is awesome, lovely beach view. We came up here to see Glass Beach and this home is its own little gem. Loved the fire pit, laundry, jacuzzi, great kitchen, beach decor, it has everything you need. Would stay here again.

Superb!

This place was beyond our expectations! The location is perfect - close enough to town to be an easy drive, but far enough away that it felt somewhat “set away” from the busy-ness. The home was in excellent condition and so nicely decorated. I couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Quiet area with great ocean views

We (2 adult couples) booked this home for a nice weekend getaway. There was awesome whale watching from the house and the location was right in the middle of Fort Bragg and downtown Mendocino with short drives to both. House was clean with nice amenities. The only issue was that the spa had debris in it so we had to run it through and lost a day of use. We would definitely rent that home again!

Good location

So photographer is excellent (makes this home LOOK fab). Home lays out well. It does have a excellent view of ocean from bluffs. Good outdoor space including a small fenced-in area for smaller pets. It also has a pet waste disposal similar to those at public parks. It has a ping pong table in garage. So from there my experience goes downhill. Kitchen frying pans are junk. Unusable unless you like eating the terribly flaking Teflon (cancer). Bring your own if you stay here. Pots are stainless and plenty of them. Dishes are plenty and usable. We washed everything as the shelf they were on was moldy. I cleaned the shelf we used. Dishwasher soap dispenser was broken so we did ours by hand. Kitchen drawers had old food scaps throughout. I cleaned them up a bit as well. Master shower is full of black mold and NOT cleaned well at ALL. I switched to fiberglass shower to avoid poorly cleaned Master shower. Sheets if cleaned were terribly wrinkled and very linty. I lint rolled all of them. This got me worried about the cleaners so I went looking. Unfortunately, under the beds are a LAYER of funk that has not been cleaned in years my best guess. I found and removed empty soda bottle and food wrappers. With Covid and the money I spent this cleaning is totally unacceptable. If you have any type of allergies don't stay here. Fireplace fan didn't work. Outdoor string lights didn't work. Hot tub lights don't work. Owner -manager and whomsoever is currently cleaning have no quality control.

Beautiful location and home

Pebble Palace is a lovely and comfortable home in a gorgeous location right on the bluffs. You cannot beat the view. We enjoyed the hot tub and the huge collection of cookbooks! The neighborhood is nice and quiet. We took a great hike at Russian Gulch and also a walk to the lighthouse. Our communication with the property manager Tracy was excellent. She was immediately available and responsive to all our concerns.

Wonderful stay by the sea

Great Property

This house was a bright oasis during a grey misty few days in the area. We rented this house while driving down the pacific coast. It has a small market close by, and the towns north and south are fabulous. Quaint and friendly service. A great trail is a close walk from the house so make sure not to skip it. Bring a telescope or binoculars, the property has a view of two small costal islands with bird and seal resting areas. Hot tub worked as advertised.

Cancelled stay.

We were on our way (less than 3 hours away) to this VRBO and received a text that our reservation was cancelled due to a water line break. I understand these things happen, the host was very apologetic, and offered us a future discount. Living 2,000 miles away it’s unlikely we will use this and the change in plans was a huge disappointment in an area during high season with virtually no VRBOs available. We were able to find another place at a higher cost with less room and fewer amenities-not a VRBO location. I feel that VRBO should do more in these last minute situations. As a client, if we had had to cancel with an emergency we would have lost our entire fee. I would appreciate a response and a future discount at any VRBO or something similar. Thank you. I gave mostly 1star to some of the above categories because we didn’t see the property to rate it.

Comfortable and Beautiful

The home was very clean and welcoming. The view was to die for! We traveled with 4 adults and 4 children and everyone was comfortable. My 7 month old son is beginning to crawl and I was so happy that there was a vacuum accessible for us to use and clean up after ourselves. The house came well stocked with appliances and kitchen gadgets; we usually always find something that is missing in a kitchen and that was not the case here. I must have missed on the listing where there was a ping pong table, but there was fun had by all. My husband did wish he could just throw his fishing pole off the edge of the cliff, but the water was a little too far out for that, but after a very short walk down the street there was a great fishing spot.

Piece of paradise

The pictures do not do this location justice — you’re literally renting a beautiful, private piece of the coastline along a cove with rocky outcroppings that attract seals and seabirds. It could not be more breathtaking. The house itself is on a large piece of land and will serve all your needs. It’s spacious, with beautiful views at every turn. Could it have been kept up better? Yes. It could have been cleaner too. But the view and the hot tub with a view? It’s hard to beat.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very comfortable for the seven of us family members. We loved the location and the views. We would have loved to give this property five stars except for some cleanliness issues regarding the master bedroom bedding, extremely full vacuums and lots of gray dog hair that we vaccummed up. Fireplace was great but pilot light kept going out. Tracy was great to work with and responded quickly. We would love to return in hopes that these issues would be resolved.

Outstanding Location

This setting has it all. We enjoyed the quiet and dawn view from the hot tub. Every room had a casual and comfortable style. Even though we had a day of pouring rain, the home was warm and cozy, with gorgeous views of the surf and sky while cooking and eating, playing games, and relaxing in front the fireplace.

Great location

The location was great. There was a lot of wildlife in the neighborhood (deer, Fox, turkeys) and we a watched whales breaching the water from the deck. Caspar Beach and the Lighthouse were easy walks. There were some basic kitchen items missing that we thought should have been stocked (pepper, cling wrap, aluminum foil, spray oil). We were looking forward to using the gas fireplace in the family room but it was not working. We did contact the owner and she offered to send someone out, but we declined. We felt that should have been something that the cleaning crew should check prior to guest arrival. The shower in the Eagle’s nest bathroom appeared to have some mildew. The furnishings were comfortable and beach themed, although there was some noticeable wear and tear throughout /deferred maintenance that could be addressed.
