Check-in was a breeze, the bed was comfortable, there were many different sitting areas, and the place was spacious for our group of three. We also really liked the location, which was close to grocery stores and restaurants, and the host was was responsive. He was kind enough to allow a late check out, and the check-out instructions were reasonable. There were only two drawbacks—there were very dirty eating utencils in the drawer (literally you could see big chunks of dried food on it), and when we tried to wash it, the black paint wiped off onto the dish towel. When we let the host know, he apologized and said he didn't blame us for it. There was no offer to have replacement or disposable utencils sent, nor to refund the cost to buy our own (which we did). In addition, there is a lot of messaging pressuring visitors to give a five-star rating, (including an odd rating scale magnet on the fridge, which seemed very off). My entire group found this very off putting. I think it's important that those who are looking to book a place have a clear sense of expectations and these efforts discourage that from happening. Aside from those two things, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to stay here.
