Week stay for Baseball tournament

Mia was great, we travel a lot through VRBO and haven’t seen anyone more accommodating than her. She adds so many special touches to this already charming home that truly make it a unique experience. It’s exactly what we as a family needed with the kids playroom and arts and crafts room. It’s authentic and genuine and the pictures online are what you get. The sauna was awesome!

Wonderful Memphis property - amazing amenities

If I could give this home 10 stars, I would! First of all, it’s in an amazing location. Very quiet, lovely neighborhood close to everything. The home is incredibly clean - tidy and well organized! The layout was perfect for us and the property has every amenity that we could have wanted and hoped for. And the host is so kind, responsive, and helpful. Highly highly recommend!!

Great stay on Cole road

The home was exactly what we needed for a month long stay in east memphis. Great location, convenient to everything we needed. Mia was an amazing host that was quick to respond to anything we needed help with.

We had a lovely stay at Mia’s stylish mid century home. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week, including goodies that she left for us. And the playroom kept our grand baby occupied during his visit! Thanks Mia!!

Life saver for this family

What an amazing find! Do yourself a favor and book this now and don’t look back. Our family needed to find a place for 3 weeks while our house was getting fixed and I was determined to not stay at a hotel. When I saw this listing and the location I was ecstatic. But it got even better once we contacted Mia, booked it and arrived!! From the photos we had an idea of what to expect and it did not disappoint! Mia had made us a wonderful welcome basket full of snacks and treats plus a whole basket just for our 3 year old!! The kitchen layout it perfect for cooking and gathering and runs into a comfortable seating area with an awesome sound system. If you have kids this house is truly perfect. The playroom and all the toys, books, dolls, games was heavenly! Our daughter would play for hours and loved discovering new items. The kids bedroom was also amazing with super comfy beds and glow in the dark stars on the ceiling! We loved the master and using the sauna- felt like we were living at a spa!! Mia provided tons of towels and extra sheets as well as little soaps, lotions, toothbrushes, mouthwash, eye masks and even cooling eye patches! Mia was extremely responsive with any questions throughout our stay and even dropped off some extra paper towels and more goodies for our little one. If I could rate this more stars I would! Even if you’re not looking for 3+ weeks like we did, this is such an ideal rental especially for a family. So close to so many things in Memphis. Safe and beautiful neighborhood to walk / run out the front door! All of the nice touches you get here you would never find in a standard hotel. Thank you Mia for making our month of June so enjoyable while we had to be out of our home!

Weekend in Memphis

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Memphis visiting family. Mia was extremely accommodating and had lovely breakfast items and snacks for us upon our arrival. Everything was clean and attractive, and the modern showers were especially enjoyable. The neighborhood was safe and conveniently located for any Memphis activity. This home would be welcoming to families including children. We enjoyed our coffee outside on the patio in the mornings.

Great house, wonderful host!

We live in Memphis and came upon Mia’s listing in a last minute scramble to avoid an unwanted house guest—a huge Memphis oak tree. Having to leave our house for renovations, we reached out to Mia and what an absolute godsend it was for us. We stayed for a week in June 2020 before arranging a long-term stay while our house was rebuilt. One month turned into four, which turned into eight—the Covid remodeling boom is real, y’all. Mia was perfectly gracious through it all and even let us drive her SUV while we searched for a replacement for ours (another casualty of said tree). She was always responsive to our needs and understanding of the occasional 4-yr old mishap. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to hole up in such a chaotic season, and in a during a global pandemic to boot. As for the house, it’s got everything: two living rooms, an office, lots of natural light via skylights, vaulted ceilings in the master and living room, a waterfall shower, a legit sauna, and my personal favorite: the heated floor in the master. Decor is modern, artsy, yet relaxing. The red floor-level sofas in the larger living room are a funky touch and super comfortable. This room became dubbed the “red living room” by our kids, who divided their pandemic play time equally between this room, the “art room,” and the playroom. That’s right parents, there’s a playroom. The landscaping is well-kept and the house is in one of the nicest neighborhoods in East Memphis. Location is far enough from bustling retail areas to be nice and quiet, but still only a 2-3 minute drive from great Memphis restaurants like South of Beale East, Folk’s Folly, Houston’s, Corky’s, Muddy’s Bake Shop, plus Whole Foods and Fresh Market. Great place for a Memphis visit or staycation. Thanks again, Mia, for your kindness and hospitality!

A lovely house with a few quirks

We just stayed at Mia's house over the Thanksgiving holiday. Mia is fantastic. Her communication and friendliness were just amazing. Not only did she let us use her Mercedes SUV during our stay, she installed the appropriate car seats for our 2 young sons, FedEx'd keys to me, parked and left the car at the Memphis International Airport for us to pick up on arrival, and then let us drop the car off again at the airport when we left! That made everything so much easier for us. She put out so many age appropriate books and toys for my sons, and even had new toys waiting for them. We ordered Instacart to have food delivered to her house before we arrived, and she had it put away in the fridge and cupboards. The house is spacious and was just great for the 4 of us. She has a washer and dryer and they work very well, but just know that they are smaller than your standard front loading washer and dryer and you'll end up doing more loads. The sink in the first bathroom off the hall is strange. Beautiful but very limited in its usefulness. Water splashes everywhere. Not a huge deal, but just don't plan on washing your face there. While the house looked clean at first glance, we realized the floors (which are lovely) had a lot of dust on them. We used a Swiffer and Wet Swiffer to get them clean. Also the gray rug in the playroom was loaded with many tiny toys and pieces of toys and coins and even a thumbtack. Nobody got hurt, but when I shook it the rug out it just rained all these minuscule objects on the floor. I swept them up and put them on the bookshelf and then it was fine. There was initially a shortage of towels, but Mia remedied that pretty quickly. Even with these minor complaints, we were overall very happy to be staying there. The next time we go to Memphis to see my family, we'll definitely check to see if Mia's house is available. It's priced higher than many nice short term rental houses in my Silver Lake neighborhood in Los Angeles, but it was certainly the nicest option we could find in the East Memphis area.
