It is pathetic that you are required to pay a deposit for a room you've already paid for. Never seen such a rule in any hotel. It wasn't even mentioned anywhere about this while I booked it.

No toilet roll holder. No soap dispenser over hand basin. Soap for shower was 1.2 m away from shower head. No soap holder. Did not find a face washer. Bedhead was unfinished, side nearest to window. Paint/wallpaper in corner furthest from door was missing. Parking area was full of rubbish. Lines showing parking bays less than 1 m apart. Arrows pointing cars out of parking lot led to a dead-end, with no room to do a 3 pt turn. Gutters were rusted out, so all rainwater fell onto the walkway to the carpark. Staff refused to offer a receipt for parking, advised credit card surcharges after the price was stated. Extra charge for parking, which I had not detected when booking.

We paid a low price for a night to sleep. For that we got a clean room with a comfy bed and great bed linen. That was the bargain we were looking for and we were very happy with it.

The only problem we had was that yes the restaurant was open for breakfast but it didn’t have food appropriate for breakfast. Everything else was fantastic! Comfy beds, clean bathroom and toilet. Plenty of towels and the pool area was very nice. The staff were helpful and having a vending machine option for late at night was great too..

i always like staying here, the beds and rooms, are comfy. this close to the tram, And very close to the markets, and not much stops, until you arrive in town. This also in a trendy place of melbourne, If you wish to adventure brunswick instead of town. I Enjoy here as it has a option, of going to city, or brunswick, or theirs one of their Lovely parks accross the road

The room was perfect, clean, comfortable bed and shower, beautiful view from the room. The reception was open at 2am, and it was great for us because we arrived late 😊

Staff where friendly and room was nice and clean, the parking is also very convenient. Unfortunately tho we had someone right above our room on the roof for quite some time making noise, it wasn't until i called reception at 10pm asking how much longer they will be above us as its very noisy that they packed up ( apparently trying to fix a air con). Im not sure who thinks its a good idea to be on the roof at that time of night is a good idea.

Parking area needs proper signge to state that it is guest parking through gate. Room reaked like nicotine smoke - came out of AC and appeared to just be in the carpet and walls. Walls appeared to have water damage. Staff smoking right outside guest enrence (this is actually illegal this course to public buildings) and is a bad look for business. It is in a good location, close to lygon st and the zoo and was a decent price. Didn't use pool or gym so cannot comment on those.

Fridge was mouldy and there was a hole in the wall in my room. When I asked to have the fridge cleaned I was moved to another room. The new room had a power board poking through the wall as a powerpoint, not sure this is safe? Advertised bar and restaurant are nothing like website pictures Over all, old tired and in desperate need of renovation.

I like this accommodation
Personally I am a repeat customer and I enjoy this hotel . They are ever adjusting their facilities, their rooms and their guest experience to be better. The beds are comfortable, the air-conditioning is strong , the TVs are new and smart & the wifi is strong. For the location and the price I keep coming back . The superior rooms are a great choice . I will be back again

This place needs to be shut down and a few bucks spent on it, TV is analog and cannot see it properly, lamps are fake and have no power points to plug them into, bathroom looks like a bathroom from the 80’s that I had to climb into and tiles falling off, long life milk was off. DONT STAY HERE

Had your Chance
Reception area is full of old cafe machinery the front desk is smothered in advertising crap Given key to room but failed to open door changed rooms and still failed second room had only 2 flimsy pillows on it and no towels, one tea mug, one wine glass and telephone lead was missing from phone one towel in bathroom was stained from laundry and unable to use so had one towel for both of us to use so had to return to reception to organise replacements. Attitude by staff was appalling. Air conditioning fan was either full blast or none. Bath in room wasStaff stand around chatting on their phones completely ignoring my presence’s at the desk Second day room was not serviced and we found that towels which we left on floor to be replaced were not picked up but 2 new towels were left on bench along side an unmade bed and used crockery. We’re told under new management, rooms shown on website were not the rooms that we had and pics shown were a display room only. Pool was cloudy and the lounges were still in the water/pool from the storm the night before Overall have given this hotel too many chances .
