This apartment is in an excellent location, walkable to most things travelers need, with fantastic car and transit access to the city. Vicki was quick to respond when we had questions, but otherwise respected our privacy. We appreciated the garage, the big tub, and the tremendous assortment of coffee-making options.
On the down side, there were several cleaning and maintenance issues with the apartment, and if you're going to stay a while like we did, you might find yourself wishing there were a more upright, comfortable arm chair in the lounge area. Wifi is stashed in the back bedroom and signal is weak in the main living areas of the house. We couldn't get most of the TV channels to work, so streamed through HDMI from our laptop. (The TV is too old for casting, but does have HDMI ports.)
Our main issue with the apartment is that it offers little soundproofing from neighbors next door and downstairs, and the old windows and balcony doors don't provide much sound barrier from the street noise outside or barking dog next door. If you're not going to be around much, this might not bother you, but you will definitely hear TVs, conversations and other sounds from the neighboring units, and the dog next door is likely to wake you up during the 7 a.m. hour if not before. We would have chalked this all up to living in an urban neighborhood, but the listing notes a quiet street (only true in the middle of the night) and we had specifically asked about noise transfer from adjoining units and were told that in Vicki's 4 years of living there, she didn't remember hearing anything. That's not really possible, as we could hear conversations clearly.
So, overall a lovely place, but not quite as advertised.
