It’s not as accessible from the city as St Kilda as it’s not exactly on the tram or train line, but still only 8km’s away if you have a car, or jump in a cab. The water was clean and calm for swimming and our kids had a great time playing on the sand and the rocks. It’s another fairly active beach and you’ll see people windsurfing, cycling, playing cricket and walking.

Fantastic property

We just loved staying here. An extremely clean and well kept property, with a comfy bed too.For us, the location was absolutely perfect as we were visiting family nearby in the suburbs of Melbourne and if we wanted to go into the city, the train was just a short walk away.Katie was extremely responsive before and during our stay. If we had any questions, she responded immediately.Very highly recommended indeed.

Just lovely

Kate the owner was friendly, welcoming and very informative. Apart from the night of my son’s wedding I stayed alone. The cottage has everything needed. Very comfortable beds. Will be back. I recommend this house

Perfectly located and very comfortable stay

Home away from home

A well presented art-deco home for 4 adults. This home has all the features you need for an enjoyable stay in Melbourne. This property is well maintained, very clean with comfortable beds and lounge. Located within a short walk to numerous coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket and the Gardenvale train station. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Communication with the property host Katie was easy and responsive. Highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage with everything you need

The cottage was easily accessible, clean, spacious and nicely decorated and had all we needed for our stay in Melbourne. Katie was helpful and responded promptly throughout the booking and check in process. I would recommend the cottage and happily stay here again.

Great family stay at Gardenvale

We had a great stay at Gardenvale cottages. Everything was super clean and tidy and it had everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The kids loved playing with the toys and the special surprise that was left for them. There is a really great coffee shop just a few doors down which is very handy and the local shops and supermarkets are only a few minutes away.

Lovely tranquil stay

Lovely two bedroom property, very tidy on arrival and a warm greeting from Katie. Amenities all in perfect working order. Perfect amount of space for a small family, with Gardenvale Park a short walk away for some outdoor variety. Yard is very safe for small children. Be aware that the driveway is a little tight if you have a large car, but we were able to park a Carnival in there (just). Street is nice and quiet which makes reversing in easy. Wonderful visit, thank you Katie!

Near impeccable cottage - like a trip back in time

This charming little cottage feels like it belongs in the mid 20th century.. Tastefully decorated with features true to the period, this place is a delight to stay in. The absence of Wi-Fi may be a plus for some travellers. There were a couple of very minor maintenance items that could have improved the experience. Side gate could only be close with the key and the lock was difficult to operate. Equally the fly screen door latch was hard to operate as well. But these were very minor things in the context of the overall property

Very comfortable stay in a great neighbourhood

Charming, clean, quiet and comfortable cottage located in a wonderful neighborhood, with marvellous cafes and restaurants. Smooth communication with the property manager. Easy travel into the city by train, or there are rental car companies just around the corner. The beach is within 30 minutes by foot. We would highly recommend this property.
