Nice vacation with a few hiccups The Good: lovely house. Great space for 17 of us. Plenty of seating. Pool was great, did have to call mngr once to have it cleaned but it was taken care of. Nice neighborhood and good location.The Bad: kitchen was pretty sparsely equipped. Towel situation was dismal. Some bathrooms only had beach towels and nothing else. Had to purchase our own washcloths. Some sort of “welcome” book or information would be helpful. Outdoor patio would benefit from a fan. Tiny toiletries. We were there five nights and only had enough for one night.The (very) Ugly:on day two my adult son was looking for the remote on the floor beside his bed. Lo and behold he not only found the remote but also some sort of drug smoking pipe. We had a house with children from 1-18 (two toddlers). The pipe had obviously been recently used. I notified the management and was sort of brushed off. They offered to send a cleaner back that evening to clean the room. As we had already taken care of that I declined the offer. I called the county sheriff’s office and they sent a deputy ou. The pipe had been used for heroin. They took my statement and the pipe.Conclusion: the beach was wonderful and Melbourne is a cute little place but waaayyy too red for us.
