Had a wonderful stay at the property. Owner was very accommodating of my dogs and I appreciated it. Pretty remote as advertised. Lovely property. You get to see the rhythms of country life, feeding the chickens everyday, etc. Friendly dogs on the property. Love Oregon! Thanks Candice and RG!

Perfect anniversary in the woods ❤️

This was the absolute best getaway that Devin and I could've asked for. It was quiet and peaceful. Candace and RG are wonderful hosts and we absolutely plan to be back.

Highly recommend

This is a very cozy get-away in the hills above Medford, but still easy to access. Wonderful hosts, friendly dogs! And a wonderful wood stove for chilly evenings. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable, convenient property

Property was very cozy. Candace and RC were very gracious and accommodating hosts. Setting was very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was as promised in the description. The dogs, Ruby and Copper were very friendly and meshed well with our dog, Bailey.

Rustic getaway

Loved the location--being out of a high traffic area. However it is close enough to everything that it is not inconvenient. The property owners are very accommodating and friendly. It was a great place for us to stay for our weekend away.

Peaceful Retreat

We loved being out of town, having the availability of good walking and being able to bring our dogs. Having a complete kitchen in addition to all the amenities of a fine hotel was a winning combination. This finally built cottage has a library that could keep you engaged interminably!

Peaceful cottage in the woods.

This was our second stay here, we loved it so much that we wanted to return. It was even better than our first stay, as the owners had done some improvements. Extremely clean cottage with pantry supplies, full kitchen with lots of pots, pans & dinnerware. Open concept kitchen, dinning and living room with lots of windows to enjoy the view of the great outdoors. Large bedroom with an extremely comfortable king and queen size bed, and the best double headed shower stall. The friendly owners are a wealth of information on things to do in the area. Looking forward to our next stay!

Pleasant cottage with animals and trails.

We had a great time walking the property, playing with their dogs and seeing a new Alpaca come into the world. Candace and R.G. are great hosts and the cottage was very comfortable.

Great central location for southern Oregon adventures

We were visiting Oregon for the Pine to Palm race that stretches from Williams to Ashland. This was the perfect central location for this race, or if you are just exploring southern Oregon. A beautiful setting in the countryside, and our hosts were accommodating from the moment we booked (including helping us realize that we accidentally booked the wrong weekend in the beginning and helping us switch it!). Thank you for the hospitality! Bonus: there were baby alpacas when we were there!

Exactly as described!

This is such a beautiful and quiet retreat in the woods. Candace and RG are the perfect hosts... they were available when we needed them but gave us our privacy as well. Their dogs are so friendly I already miss them. My dog, Coco and Copper became best friends and Copper made us feel welcomed and safe! I wish we stayed longer :(

Perfect cabin getaway!

This place is the perfect place for a quiet place in the woods. Very comfortable, lots of books to choose to read while there, everything you need in the kitchen, nice bathroom (huge shower!).

Quiet and Secluded

Nice, spacious, and comfortable cottage The location was secluded but very close to everything. It was easy for us to get around and enjoy Medford and the surrounding area. Our dog was in heaven with the animals and smells of the forest. RG and Candace were the perfect hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful setting

No one could ask for better people to rent from. Candace and RG were so kind and informative. The wealth of information about the property made it feel like home for the time my dog and I were there. She particularly enjoyed it because her new "playmate" Cooper took her on many adventures through the orchards and forests. Hiking was terrific. We even got to see the resident alpacas sheared. The only things a bit disappointing were I couldn't get cell phone service no matter how hard I tried and perhaps I misunderstood the description, but the washer and dryer were not in the house I rented but next door. Otherwise, it was a lovely experience and it was with regret that I had to leave early.

Warm, comfortable space and great hosts

When we arrived the fire was burning and the cabin was very warm and inviting. Everything we needed was there. We traved with 3 adults, 4 kids and 3 dogs. It was very clean, comfortable and beautiful. We really enjoyed hiking the property and the adjacent BLM land. The kids kids loved playing with Copper and Ruby Tuesday, as did our dogs. It was very convenient for exploring Jacksonville, Applegate lake, Medford and Ashland. We will be back again for sure.

Wonderful cottage, beautiful environment, convenient to town yet feels isolated

Great small house. Larger than the photos. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Hosts were friendly when invited but unobtrusive. We loved the green forest, woodland and meadow views, rooster crows, hikes to the pond and visiting the alpaca, a warm woodstove fire inside our delightful cottage. And all this peacefulness, with Jacksonville, Medford, and even Ashland a short and gorgeous drive. We will stay here again!

Very out of the way and quiet! Within perfect distance to a lot of fun things to do!

We enjoyed our experience fully. The cabin is nice and clean and felt right at home. The animals are very friendly and our kids really liked spending time with them. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Retreat Cottage in a Great Location

We loved staying in this spacious woodland cottage. We found everything we needed for cooking all of our meals and the hosts were very helpful in helping us plan adventures in the area. The dogs were friendly and the alpaca beautiful. The chickens were entertaining and the kind offer of eggs greatly appreciated. We plan to stay here when next we can visit So. Oregon.

Nice remote country setting with easy access.

We enjoyed our time at the woodland cottage. R.G was very welcoming and provided us with directions and local knowledge. The cottage was perfect, and we loved being able to have our 4 legged friend with us. We look forward to coming back and spending more time there.

Worked well for our group

We had a nice stay. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The animals were nice and the alpacas were fun to see. There was a rooster, which was a bit surprising and unfortunate considering we wanted to have the windows open while sleeping. Just good for people to know in advance, as roosters wake very early!

Fantastic Getaway from a busy life..

Very relaxing vacation. Peaceful home in a wooded quiet place. The quietness was so welcome to us and our dogs. The house pet Ruby greeted us every day and was so happy to see us. RG was such a help in getting us directed to visiting great places and learned a lot about the area. We loved the location because we felt so far removed from the busy life but we were only a few miles from it all. Nestled in the hills between Medford and Jacksonville by all of the wineries it was truly a good find. We will be back!!
