We have been staying at Wisp over MLK weekend for 11 years and this is the first time we have ever been disappointed with a house we booked. Issues included:•Hot tub was not only off, but half full and water 62 degrees. This tells me it wasn’t checked or filled for weeks before we checked in. We couldn’t use it for the first 24 hours we were there.•The house advertised having a grill. We planned on grilling the night we checked in. There was no propane in the tank and we were told by Railey we could “refill it ourselves and get reimbursed”. Not at 8:00 PM we couldn’t and also, that’s not what I paid for. I paid for a house with a grill ready to go when we checked in.•The ice maker in the kitchen was moldy and broken.•The fridge downstairs was broken.•The master bedroom mattress is literally broken in two places and horrible to sleep on.•The other bedrooms were advertised as queen beds; they are not. They are full size.•When we went to move the area rugs in the kitchen to vacuum, piles of sand fell out onto the floor, again suggesting they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, maybe even months.While I know on occasion things in rental properties can go wrong, the sheer number of items is just not acceptable.
