This is an amazing stay! Great for big families as it is very spacious! The property has everything you need for cooking,laundry, and fun (hot tub and games!) my family stayed for a week over thanksgiving and the kitchen is perfect for cooking a large meal! All the beds were very comfortable as well! Great location and easy checkout! Michael was very responsive and quick to respond when I had any questions! Hope to stay here again for our next family gathering!

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for our family of 5 down for JMU family weekend. Equipped with everything we needed. Clean. Comfy beds. It was great for our family and two well behaved dogs. Owner communicated promptly and responded to all inquiries.

Great place and location. We had a large group ages 1-52, and found the house to be very accommodating. The place was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We had an infant with us and found the layout of the house to work perfectly to allow for baby naptime to occur while the teenagers carried on. On top of this, view from the deck is amazing. Take your binoculars!There are plenty of things for the kid's to do within a few miles. The adults enjoyed the hot tub and burn pit for some nightime relaxation. I also liked the fact that we had stores close enough to stock up on our grilling supplies.In addition to all of this, I had a few last minute changes to our needs and found the owners to be very accommodating and responsive. I recommend this place to those who are looking to set up a getaway for a large group.

Great house near JMU

We stayed here for a few days while in the area to visit JMU. There was plenty of room for the whole family and we enjoyed relaxing with foosball and the hot tub. The house was clean and well-equipped. Hosts were communicative and easy to work with.

Enjoyed the location, spaciousness, and amenities close by. House is comfortable and great for families. There are 2 stairs, if you are traveling with toddlers. A hot outdoor jacuzzi and fire pit made it really fun.

SNP Getaway

My partner, my dog and I looked forward to our very first trip to Shenandoah National Park. We decided to "splurge" with a very nice rental. The house is large and very conveniently located. When we first entered, everything appeared to be clean. When we first opened the hot tub, there were several colonies of ants living under the cover and around the sides of the hot tub. We texted the owners and they did send someone the next day to thoroughly clean the hot tub. When we proceeded to the master bedroom, two more surprises awaited us. The first was the condition of the carpeting. At the very least, it could use cleaned (many stains), at the very best - it could be replaced. The second surprise was the black mold in the corners and up the sides of the master shower. We again texted the owner asking that someone come and clean it. They responded that their cleaners have stated that the mold could not be removed (not true). We asked again to have it cleaned, and we were told that the cleaner had come while we were out and that they stated that it would have to be taken care of at a later time. This was unacceptable. We purchased cleaning supplies and spent 45 minutes scrubbing the shower - we were able to remove almost all of the mold (it had been there a while). Texted the owner that the shower was now clean and we never received an acknowledgement or thanks for doing the work of their cleaners. The only "black mark" in an otherwise splendid trip.

Spring Stay

We had a wonderful stay and the location was great for visiting Shenandoah National Park. The home had everything you needed to cook and grill, which we did every night. The hot tub was perfect for after hiking all day. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable , beautiful home with all the bells and whistles.

Last Minute Spring Break

This was a last minute Spring Break trip to get away and try something new. The house was so big and so accommodating three adults, 4 kids and a big dog and we all had plenty of space inside and out. The hot tub was perfect addition to the end of a day of hiking trails! We wished our trip was longer and will keep this house on our favorites list.

Highly recommend!!
