We had a wonderful time! Really enjoyed the views and it not being far from the ski lodge. Sitting by the fire, playing cards, playing pool, great memories were made. The place was clean and very inviting. Would highly recommend.

We just celebrated Thanksgiving in this beautiful house. It is truly a beautiful house! It is in great condition and well maintained! All of the amenities provided worked great! The host was very responsive to any concerns I had and her response time was fast! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home! We look forward to staying here again!

Had an amazing stay! I've stayed in a few different large houses in the area, and this one really takes the cake. Great parking situation, lots of space if your group is bringing many cars. Great porch, mostly porch! We had a great time enjoying the porch swings and chatting over coffee in the morning. The beds were numerous and spacious and the kitchen amenities were perfect for us. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our two night getaway in this cozy log cabin on the mountain side. It was well-maintained with lots of extra personal touches that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was watching the sun come up over the mountain in the mornings from a perfect view on the porch that included colorful fall leaves and four deer browsing in the yard.

I have been renting through VRBO for the past 30 years, mutiple times per year, so I have experienced many rentals."Mostly Porch" was in an excellent location for visiting Shenandoah National Park - which was beautiful, and for doing other things in the area. We went to Luray Caverns, Brix & Columns Vineyards, Monticello and we took a lift ride to the top of the mountain within the resort. We also did a very nice hike right within the resort. The house was lovely in design but provided absolutely no extras. There was one towel and one washcloth on each bed. No linen closet with a few extras so you did not have to run the washing machine so much. One comforter per bed, no extra blankets, no spices, etc. Most of the homes we have rented provide their guests with a few extra towels, blankets and other conveniences and those things make you feel more welcome. The other issue we had with the rental was that there were cameras that made us feel like we were being watched and the owner sent me an email indicating that her "neighbors keep an eye on the house and report to her if there are any parties". We are responsible retirees and the tone used felt very unfriendly. On the plus side, there were lots of games, toys and books available, as well as a pool table, so if you are traveling with children there are lots of things available for them to play with on a rainy day. The sectional and the gas fireplace in the great room made for a very cozy evening after a day of hiking.

Prefect for what we needed

My husband and I needed a place with plenty of room for our son, nephew, and 2 friends to go with us. This was the perfect fit. Everyone had their own bed and we weren’t on top of each other. Close to plenty of activities and attractions. We would consider this again if we go back.

Beatiful Neighborhood - - Cabin Needs Work

Absolutely beautiful neighborhood and very quiet! A little hiccup when we first arrived. All the bath towels and wash cloths were folded nicely and left at the end of the beds, but they were all damp. Some were wet enough, the comforter was also wet. We did not know this of course until 9:30 that evening, so we had to throw all of them in the dryer before we could take showers. An upstairs bedroom did not have blinds or curtains, but we found the blind in a closet. We temporarily got it up that night, but notified the owner a handy man would need to come after our trip to fix it. The owner was quick to respond and offered to send someone, but at that point we wanted to go to bed. Overall, the cabin was okay. The bathrooms were clean but there was no counter space unless you were in the primary bath. The remainder of the house could have used some extra cleaning. Furniture was a little outdated and no noise cancellation whatsoever. No doubt about it when someone was up and round at night or in the morning, you heard them. When we were leaving and took the sheets off the primary bed, we realized the box spring had collapsed on one side of the bed, so not very comfy. Again, the owner was very nice and super responsive, but the cabin needs some work. For the price we paid, we were very disappointed.

Friends get away weekend

The space was actually bigger than it looked online! The kitchens had all the cookware that you could need but you do need to remember to bring spices and such ( my fault) The upstairs beds are very comfy and the pool tableIn the basement is a great way to pass some time

BEAUTIFUL CABIN

Very relaxing, loved the mountain views. Host was Very responsive. Would Definitely go back. Would suggest lighting up the front door better as we arrived at night and it was dark to see checking in. Back porch lights were mostly dim and some not working. Host is very responsive im sure it would be handled. Back glass doors were dirty with smudge marks and dog drool. Cob webs in some areas of the ceiling.
