Owner and property manager went above and beyond! We stayed in a different cabin than we'd originally booked, it ended up being perfect! Off the beaten path, unlike other cabin rentals in the area, but still close to the attractions. Wonderful! Hope we can stay again!!

our third time at this cabin, and it feels just like arriving home after a long day. welcoming, with comfy furniture and wood paneling its bright inside with the right amount of rustic. shame about no hot tub for the winter as we loved being outside in the dark. the star gazing is another high point, when there’s no clouds i can stand right off the front door and experience nature’s greatest gift.

Easy to find off main road. Cabin has great view of sunrise and sunsets. Super close to local restaurants and food. Hot tub was perfect. Driveway is gravel and easy to walk on for car access

I was not a fan of very thin beds. The light on side porch did not work and the water smelling like sulfur was a major downside. Stunk whole cabin and made showers not wanted. I feel the cabin was over rated with all that being said and having to pack own bedding on top of everything was a massive downside. I would not recommend feel like I paid too much for bad sleep and to stay smelling after hiking.

This was a great place to stay! The area is nice and quiet. Aside from taking your own sheets and towels (which we didnt mind at all), the host provides everything else you should need. The cabin has a nice small kitchen, spacious bathroom and bedroom. Definitely recommend for anyone who has dogs that you want to take hiking to the nearby attractions! We really enjoyed our stay.

The driveway to get up to the cabin isn’t small car friendly. You won’t be able to get up it in a small car. The shower was broken and we had to take cold showers. The mattresses were also hard as a rock. The property is beautiful however. It’s very peaceful and quaint. It’s relatively close to the caves/hiking trails. The property was clean for the most part. There was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain.

The location is private. I loved the simpleness of it. However, I would make a recommendation for more comfortable mattresses. We tried and ended up with one of us on the couch and other one in the recliner. We enjoyed the hot tub and having the beautiful view of the stars at night while hot tubbing. The only thing that would keep us from coming back is the uncomfortableness of the beds.

Good Location With Downsides

Basic cabin close to Hocking Hills. Pros: Hot tub works, close to popular trails, easy check in, fire pit, fast internet, nice view of sunset, nice property owner.Cons: A lot of bugs. At least a dozen flies at any given time. Spiders and ants as well. Kitchen was very dirty. Half of the dishes and utensils had food caked on them. The utensil container had mold in it. The ice cube trays had grass and dirt frozen into the ice cubes. There was a half eaten slice of pizza in the microwave. Obviously no one cleaned the kitchen. The water pressure was very low and would completely stop on and off. The bathroom smelled like sewage. The bed is super hard and noisy. The pillows were flat. The grills had food caked on them. The property has other rentals and the property owner on it as well, so not completely private.This would be okay if you want to save money and stay a short time. Not ideal for a couple or family looking to getaway or vacation.

Beautiful cabin and property

We had a wonderful two night stay at this cabin. The day of check in i couldn't find my code to get it, the owner responded very quickly and the property manager was close by for help as well. Both Daniel and Connie were amazing in helping get checked in. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We will definitely keep these cabins in mind for future stays!

The bed was like sleeping on plywood

Everything was ok, I mean for the price I’d rather stay in a hotel. The couch was old and if two people sat on it you fall to one another and the bed was like sleeping on plywood and it was so bad I maybe got an hour of sleep. That combined with the fact that it was going to rain we just up and left the first thing in the morning and we were supposed to stay a second night so it was a huge waste of money. There was also a wasp in the cabin and ants in the bathroom I mean I get it it’s a cabin but it’s not in the middle of the woods. I really wish I would have know about the bed and the bugs before I booked.

Great relatively private location and very nice cabin, a little small for our family of five, but ultimately the only major negatives were the kitchen ants and bringing towels, sheets, blankets was very cumbersome. The property managers were really helpful and kind throughout our stay!

The property and its surrounding area was very nice to stay at, especially if you plan on hiking at Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, etc. The owner is very helpful, and will make sure you are taken care of! I would stay again!

Cozy Hideaway

Property was as described in listing. Posted information in cabin very helpful. Communication with property management and owner was very timely and smooth. Minor inconveniences were that the heat went out in a snow storm so we froze our last morning. We brought our own bedding and towels which I didn’t notice in the original listing until after I booked it. It was a good trip regardless and we had fun!
