False Advertising. The property doesn't look like the pictures. Pictures are many years old. House/Property has NOT been taken care of for many years. All the decking and stairs are old, rotted, wobbly, etc. The pictures show a really nice double boat house. Upon arrival, we found a very old rusted steel and broken up concrete small single boat house infested with large (nickle to quarter sized) spiders, hornets/wasps nests, etc. I mean it was covered with nests, cob webs, etc. The shed on the boat house was full of hornets/wasps & rotting tubs of fish bait. Hornets/Wasps every where. It took the Property Mgr 5 days (4 trips to property) to semi address the infestation and even then, left all the nest debris all over the walk ways. I expect we will need to fog our six figure boat as I am sure it is now infested with spiders. If you have a nice boat, beware! During summer season, A/C cannot keep house under 84 degrees during the day and then you freeze at night. House was hot 90 degrees at check in. House was not well cleaned. Dirt and filth found in kitchen around cabinets, on floors, stains on rugs, etc. Water side of house - all doors, and decking was covered with dead insects of all kinds ... even the exterior door handles.Exterior furniture was really dirty. Dishwasher doesn't clean dishes - had to hand wash. Washer/Dryer kept quitting. No Ice Maker. 2 bathrooms have one towel hook each and 3rd bathroom - no towel hooks. No where to place clothes.

Great house! Great location

Very secluded and a perfect getaway at the lake. House is beautiful. On open water so gets some wake at the dock, but nice to swim and watch the boats. 3rd bathroom is located away from other bedrooms, but still nice to have 3 full baths.

Still waiting on a credit

The washing machine door was broken prior to our arrival and was told they would do their best to get it fixed during our stay but never got fixed or got updated on the status of being fixed. Was told we could receive a credit for the inconvenience but still have not received any credit.

My family and I rented this property for a short getaway. In addition to my parents and 15 year old brother, my husband and I also had our 3 kids (3,1 and 2 months). The house was clean and smelt great when we walked in. There were ample kitchen tools which made cooking a breeze. The property felt modern and updated. We enjoyed utilizing the outdoor space and felt it was safe enough to use with our young kids. While the stairs look a little intimidating, they really weren’t that bad. We would have liked to have used the kayak and paddle board, but those were not at the property when we arrived. The kids really loved using the popcorn machine and it made for a fun movie night. We would return.

It was ok

Pros-the inside of the house was nice, boat dock was great to have, and the lake view was amazing. If there is an issue, the property manager was amazing! Cons-the wifi or even cell service is next to nothing, which also means there is limited tv/streaming. The deck attached to the house was real dirty. Couldn’t sit on the cushions-they were so dirty. There is also not an ice maker in the house-just ice trays.

Girls trip

I went for a relaxing trip with my best friend. It was wonderful. So relaxing. There is a coffee pot and 2 keurigs even though I was told none there. Only one life jacket, 1 kayak with paddle and a paddle board with no paddle. Still a wonderful place just wish I had brought my life jacket with me. Great access to the lake

Quiet, very remote

Great property, updated, clean. Very remote, little boat traffic and no vehicle traffic. Home has all you need, bring you, family and food needs. Roomy and Great Lake views. Only negative is no cell service, buffering tv and only texting as communication. If you need to work, you will need to venture back to town area.

Several issues with property

If you plan on staying at this property there are some things you should keep in mind. The wifi does not work well at all, so this will prevent you from getting any work done while at the house. The dock is very unsafe, is it halfway in the water and the floating portion is not stable whatsoever. I was told that the dock keepers would be by to look at it and they never showed up. I contacted management before arriving to ask if they could leave the outdoor fireplace on and they replied with yes. However the fireplace was turned off and could not be turned on for use. Before arriving management said that the downstairs shower door was broken and that was someone would be there to repair it, which they did come but the up stairs masters bedroom shower did not drain either. This left us with only one shower for a couple of days. I reached out to management with these problems during our stay and never heard back until we had left and I sent another message. I usually would not have an issue with these types of things, but if you look back at previous reviews these are all issues that clearly have never been addressed.

The reason I gave it 4 ⭐️

The property was beautiful and clean. We got there a week before the fire was suppose to be turned on but we had a cold morning so we called and they were very accommodating. They have every kitchen appliance you would need to make it feel like home. They even have a coffee frothier in the drawer which sold us! My only complaint with this house is we had two small children and the railings are very unsafe! The wires had come loose on the upstairs balcony and the top deck. We were constantly on guard making sure they didn’t get to close. Other than that issue this property is definitely a 5 ⭐️. We would consider staying again.

The Elderly Big. Chill

We found the property exactly as described and depicted in the photos. We weren’t quite ready for all the stairs down to the lake but learned to navigate them quickly. We had great fun at the fire pit which we used twice. No bugs !!! One of us used the kayak and we fished off the dock. Did I mention no bugs !!! We rented a boat one day at a local marina and cruised down the lake all the way to the dam. Large screen televisions in every room we’re nice amenities. Did I mention no bugs ! Cookware and dining needs were top notch. Sunrises and sunsets were fabulous !!!

Beautiful Views, had some issues

This house has beautiful views of norris lake. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, it was not the cleanest upon arrival both inside and out. The fire pit was full of empty beer cans. The cable railing for the stairs inside was loose/broken in numerous areas and outside as well. The biggest issue was the dock. It’s pretty old, many pieces were falling off with some exposed metal and nails. The bridge to the dock is broken and a portion of it was underwater. One bolt has already broken and then other one is very close..then it will no longer be attached to the dock. The dock itself is not really secured to the shore as it should be. The gear/crank for the support cable is stripped and doesn’t work. Anyways, we were expecting a bit more for the price. The floor plan of the house is great, the views are great, and it’s on a great place on the lake but don’t plan to book again.

Great house - Great Lake location

I was a little worried that this house was managed by a management company. They tend to lack the details that makes a vacation home perfect. With that said it was pretty close to perfect. I asked if the house had kayaks or paddleboard's and was told no, but when we showed up they had both a kayak and paddleboard. Also a tube we used for pulling kids behind a boat we rented. These are the minor details that help make a house perfect IMO. The house had everything we needed, it was very clean. The rooms were small and lacked places to put clothing but that wasn't a big deal. Minor issues with doors not closing properly is a result of the new construction. WiFi isn't great but acceptable, and cellular is useless in the area. I gave this a 4 star only because I feel like it was missing some minor things that I have become used to renting a lake vacation home. But overall I would stay here again, it's a great part of the lake.

Our stay was interesting 🧐

This house is amazing. The view was spectacular and the area is great. Having that said, there was no WiFi prohibiting communication with our loved ones. On the last night there was no water for a shower after our time in town. We couldn’t brush our teeth in the morning either. I like to keep things neat but due to the water problem we couldn’t wash the dishes we used. Lastly, calling for support was impossible because there was zero internet connection. I went with my elderly mother and prayed we didn’t have to call for help. We didn’t. Hallelujah 🎉. Provided these issues are taken care of I would definitely stay there again. Like I said, the house is amazing, clean, just spectacular.
