At 4:00 I sent a message saying that we'd give them one hour and then we'd have to leave as it was freezing cold. Finally, at 6 p.m. someone showed up to turn on the heat in the downstairs apartment where it had been turned off by the tenants who had moved out suddenly. The property manager tried to blame me for not getting back with him to tell him we hadn't closed...

It should be noted that even though Vrbo has this tagged as "entire home," the rental is an above-garage apartment and the attached home is otherwise occupied. However, the hosts are gracious and unintrusive, the rental space is very private, and you simply can't beat what you get for the price."

"Upon arriving to the property it smelled disgusting - couch was filthy, floors and corners that weren’t carpet had dust, webs, and dirt. There was a gasoline tank in a humid apartment which was a fire and health hazard. His personal belongings were EVERYWHERE - all in the fridge, his shoes and playing balls, his controllers, even a laptop! The cup holders in the couch weren’t even cleaned out and full of disgusting dirt and had a smoke hole in the couch which explained the disgusting smell...
