A very special place to stay. Formerly a classic kiwi shearing shed, it has been renovated with love and by someone with a great eye for colour, fabric and furnishing. It had an excellent well-stocked kitchen and the longest bath I think I've ever seen. The bedroom was sweet and the huge front living space perfect to relax in with our small dog George. This is a fabulous place to stay very near the stunning beaches from Matauri Bay north to Te Ngaere Bay and Piapia Bay (wow!). Located on a farm, it was lovely to see the horses in the morning and walk through the fields to see the extensive views inland and down to the bays. The art on the walls was an extra bonus. We loved our stay and thank the hosts for making this cool space available to us and our wee dog.
