Mágico

Nos alojamos en esta villa con un grupo de 14 personas y nuestra estancia fue magnífica. La localización es de ensueño y la villa tiene un encanto único. La comunicación con Nello y Sonia fue perfecta, se adaptaron en todo momento a nuestras peticiones e incluso nos facilitaron una compañia de transporte para llevarnos al aeropuerto. Recomendadísimo tanto para ir con la familia o con amigos.

It was the wrong season for the pool, but our kids loved playing in the outdoor spaces even in January. The household manager was wonderful. Our three families had enough room to relax, share meals and play lots of board games.

We had a lovely stay in Massa Lubrense. The views from the villa are outstanding, and it is quiet and private. We really enjoyed how communicative the property manager was - she was excellent at providing recommendations. The drivers she recommended were excellent. It is worth noting that it is a long (uphill) walk to Massa Lubrense. We had planned to take the bus into Sorrento and were largely unable to do so because the walk was further than it appears on Google Maps. We ended up using a private driver a lot of the time.

The property was absolutely perfect. We felt we had stepped into our own little piece of paradise. It was even better than described. The views of Capri and Vesuvius were breath taking and the pool area beautiful.Sonja was so helpful with any queries we had about the local area.

Great location

Great place for large groups, well situated and easy with the car service recommended. The place is on the older side (furniture, bed, bathroom), but the view and the opportunity to all have our own bedrooms is great. The pool was lovely and the terrasse to all eat together as well. Great responsiveness of the manager, making everything easy.

Family Retreat

The location is absolutely magical. Each room has beautiful views of the gardens or the sea, Vesuvius or Capri. Sunset dinners facing the sea were enjoyed by everyone, and the pool was in near-continuous use by our family.

Absolutely lived up to our expectations. Nello's Villa was the perfect location to visit Sorrento peninsula for a week. The village of Massa Lubrense was walkable via the path above the olive groves. Restaurants and Marina were great and the locals made us feel like family. Coming back to the villa after busy days in Capri or hiking path of gods in Amalfi or touring Pompei was the best. The pool and outdoor verandas and views were so relaxing. Sonia, Persico transfer service and Ms Titina were amazing to work with and made our vacation so much easier. I recommend Persico car service over renting a car for sure. They know the property well and the drivers had incredible recommendations for so many beaches, wineries, restaurants etc.Our adult children did rent scooters for the week which were handy for nearby exploring of Termini and Nerano and going into to town for groceries. Cant wait to return some day

Breathtaking views of Capri

Our family enjoyed every moment of our stay in Massa Lubrense. The house is so spacious and clean and the property manager helped us with every aspect of our stay . There was a road race the weekend that we stayed and she helped us determine when there was a window for us to leave for our cooking class. I was most worried about how we would get to town and back as we did not feel that we could drive on the coast. The property manager put us in contact with a lovely family taxi service that was incredibly helpful. The views are incredible and we can not say enough good things about our stay

Absolute Perfection…. Twice

This is my second stay in Nello’s wonderful villa by the sea. The first time was in March of 2020, as COVID began to impact Italy. Nello and everyone that works with him to care for the property took such amazing care of us back then that we just had to come back.This time, we brought our friends and family with us and spent 5 wonderful nights. At arrival, Sonia met us in the Massa Lubrense town center and showed us how to get to the private community where the villa is located. At the end of a winding driveway, we came to a gate that opens onto a little piece of heaven.The villa is perfect whether you want to have a large group together on a terrace or in the large living room, or if you want to find a quiet place to be alone. The smells of the sea, olive trees, and rosemary greet you at every turn. If you take Nello’s recommendations for cooks to visit the villa, you will have amazing food served by wonderfully kind people.Leaving the villa, there are several paths to walk up into the town center, or down into the harbor through lemon, orange, and olive groves.My only disappointment was realizing that the time had come to leave again. If you have a chance to enjoy this amazing place, I can’t recommend it strongly enough.Thank you, Nello!

Magical

This place (while a little tricky to get to) made our dream vacation magical! The grounds alone are beautiful … the pool … the sea. It was all just perfect! Our host was amazing. Only thing I would change is more pillows and towels. But we did wash them so as it wasn’t ideal to do laundry it didn’t take much to do it. I would give this property a 12 out of 10! Just beautiful

Top of my bucket list - check!!

Sonja was a friendly, helpful, excellent communicator. She met us all in town on the first day and drove us to the property, which, admittedly, would have been hard to find on our own. Its seclusion is definitely part of its charm however. Honestly it feels a bit like heaven to enter the beautiful villa, see the phenomenal view, swim in the salt water pool, and eat delicious home cooked meals with family and dear friends on the patio overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Capri. We had two phenomenal meals cooked by a lovely, local couple who are the real deal and there were enough leftovers for lunch the next day! Sonja also helped arrange transportation and made reservations for us at two local restaurants which were also lovely experiences. Honestly, we all had to pinch ourselves a bit, wondering if we were in a movie setting or if the beautiful villa, grounds, pool and view were actually our real life for a week! The kitchen was sparsely stocked, so be prepared to buy your own paper towels, laundry detergent, etc, but this doesn’t detract from the 5 star review - everything else was way too spectacular - it’s just a warning to be prepared for this. Also, the owners are right, you really can’t rent this villa without also renting a car. But ignore all the hype about how hard it is to drive on the Amalfi coast. My husband actually enjoyed it, most of the time! We will enjoy our memories of your stunning villa the rest of our lives. Thank you so so so much!!

A southern Italian gem

Wonderful villa perched on magnificent cliffs overlooking the sea, with breathtaking views of Ischia and Capri. This villa has it all: well appointed old world charm and modern amenities on a private lot that provides a space for really slowing down. For those seeking the true relaxation of southern Italy, this property can’t be beat. Located in Massa Lubrense, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and Positano we were still within reasonable distance of everything we wanted to do. We spent a lot of time in the Villa because once there you never want to leave, but also did get to visit some of the attractions of the area. As for the property management, both Nello and Sonja were a joy to work with and were extremely accommodating of our questions and needs. Could not imagine better hosts. A huge thank you to both of them and we will definitely be back! Finally, as a suggestion to others considering renting this same property, we rented only the property on this listing but were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. Upon seeing the space, however, we realize if we were to come back we would like to make sure we have the same situation, as having another family share the pool and common areas would detract a bit from the whole experience. If your group is big enough, we suggest you consider renting the whole house.

Amazing

Our family enjoyed the villa! We had 10 adults and two babies under two. There was plenty of room to spread out. We hiked down to the water several times and enjoyed the sunset. Very relaxing.

Gorgeous location , fantastic views!

Beautiful villa , very spacious , a bit old but still in good condition, only the kitchen is not up to the standard but will be completely renewed before the summer I was told by the housekeeper. The communication with the housekeeper Sonja was excellent and she was always immediately available to answer questions and help when needed, suggest restaurants etc. The views from the terraces are incredible, Great pool and a bit tricky but private access to the sea for a swim in the morning or evening are a plus. Perfect place to relax, very private. Hope to be back some time .

Great stay for our family

This home was perfect for our 3 generation family trip. Plenty of room for the 12 of us, but great space on the main floor and outdoors for us all to hang out together too. Sonja was a dream to work with and was very communicative both before and during our visit. I would gladly recommend this Villa to anyone. We hope to visit again soon!

Family Celebration

The location of this property is excellent for visiting the Amalfi Coast destinations. Property Manager is knowledgeable, available and very helpful. Views of Capri, Naples and Vesuvius. The villa was absolutely stunning and very spacious! We had an amazing time at the villa and we’re able to walk into town within 20 minutes for grocery’s and dinner. All of the people in town were spectacular and extremely helpful. Would absolutely recommend and go back!

Large, spacious villa with amazing views

Loved our stay at the villa. Plenty of room and rooms with million door views of Capri, Naples & Mt Vesuvius. Extensive gardens and lovely pool area. Nello and Sonja were easy to communicate with and we’re very helpful, caring and informative. Easy transfers available if required but rental vehicle for shopping, beaches preferred. Villa could do with some maintenance but all in all a fabulous stay.

All perfect!

Everyone was perfect! We had great contact with the owner Nello before we arrived and the check in process with Sonja was also great, she helped us with all our questions about the area and gave us tips for the perfect stay. We were a group of 6 adults, we chose the location because we wanted to explore Naples and the Amalfi coast with our vintage Vespas, I can only recommend this to everyone. The area is really beautiful, you have a great view of capri and the gulf of napoli from the terrace. The house is very spacious and has everything you need. I can only recommend the cooking service of titana, who cooked for us one evening with a seafood menu. I repeat myself but there was nothing to complain about, just perfect.
