Great family place

We loved our stay. We got to layout on our own beach. The pier was great for fishing. Only caught catfish though. Huge clean house and the owners answered us quickly when asked a question. Will be back.

Perfect & Well Stocked!!

We had four families staying here for Christmas 2023. It was absolutely wonderful. The place is even more beautiful in person! It was one of the most well stocked properties we have stayed at. And lots of extras-extra towels, extra beach towels, extra beach accessories, etc. The grill was brand new! Clean, comfortable. No one had any complaints, except for no ice in the refrigerator. Then we found the separate ice machine beside the dishwasher! Owners were attentive in their messages. All four of our families could not recommend it more! We had 7 kids with us: ages 8-13 and they thought this place was awesome! It easily slept our 4 families. Give this place consideration!! I almost want to keep it secret for ourselves…but enjoy! We loved it!

Best Large Family Vacation

We loved staying at this property. In all we had 15 people, 7 adults and 8 kids ranging from 2 to 14. It was so nice being able to go straight from the back door to the beach/water. The adults could even sit on the back porch in the shade and watch the kids play. The fishing was great. The house well stocked with toys, beach items, floats, kayak, corn hole, balls, and a well equipped kitchen including plenty of spices. We highly recommend!

Fantastic for a family gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! There was plenty of room to spred out, lots to do on the property, and it was in a great, quiet location. The dock was perfect for fishing and the water was great for our littles (and bigs) to swim and relax. We cannot wait to come back!

Wonderful!

We don't have a single complaint about our stay , The hosts were Amazing! We had kids ranging from 18 months to 12 years old. Thier was so much space in the house for everyone to spread out! We had braught a lot of our own floats but the property had more than enough there. The view was amazing, my boys loved the dock and jumping off it, being secluded from everyone was aseome too, and being only a short distance from destin for the days we wanted to adventure out! I would definitely recommend staying here 100 perecnt!

Picturesque Home

This home was perfect for our family. Easy to get everywhere. It was very comfortable and homey. We had nine adults & two children in our party. Everyone had plenty of space even if they wanted alone time. All the amenities we needed was provided. Walmart is two miles away & Destin is 20 miles away which keeps you out of all the touristy craziness. We did visit Destin a couple times during the week which is gorgeous, but was glad to get 'home' where it was nice & quiet. Several kept referring to being in an episode of Outer Banks or Bloodline. Bottom line, if I was looking to buy, this place would be exactly what I wanted. Everyone of us loved it.

Family Paradise on the Sound

My wife and I absolutely love the house, it's well maintained quality, it's amenities and it's location. We have a large family with grandkids ranging in age from 9 months to 15 years old. The property owners have a large, young family as well which is obvious by the amenities they provide and the joy they gain in sharing their vacation home with similar families. The sound and the property location are absolutely safe and fun for everyone of all ages to enjoy.

Wonderful Home

We were so pleased with everything about our stay here. It was perfect for us, our kids, and our grandkids (who had an absolute blast). The owners are the best I've ever dealt with. We highly recommend this wonderful home on Santa Rosa Island Sound. I hope it's available for the next time we visit with our family!

Super space

Property was pretty much as described. Magical fire pit beach time under the moon, favorite! The breeze on the back porch was heaven. Sunset on the dock was lovely. We appreciated the bonus ice maker too. Its an easy house to feel at home. Make sure to check with the owners on points of interest listed in the description. We had two and both wound up not being available. A trip to the emerald coast is a must. We have never had a stay where you had to wash the towels you use for check out. The large cleaning fee usually covers. While on vacay no fun to be messaged such the last full day.

Something for everyone!

We had the best time! We stayed with teens and adults and no one was ever bored. We fished, paddleboarded, kayaked, played endless games of cornhole and cards, played basketball, ended our evenings with fires by the water. Absolutely perfect. The home is beautiful, huge, and very clean. The owners are so friendly and very quick and easy to communicate with. Book this place today! You won’t regret it.

Absolutely perfect!

First time to stay here and definitely not our last! We spent lots of time on the private beach…snorkeling, fishing, swimming and paddle boarding. Watched a porpoise swim while we were paddle boarding! We enjoyed s’mores by the fire in the comfy chairs and played lots of corn hole. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was perfect for serving our family of 13. And the porch was so peaceful for reading and relaxing. The host was wonderful and easy to contact.

Best Vacation for Large Family

Our group of 4 families had the best time here. The home is located in a small, quiet neighborhood and we seemed to be the only people outside our entire trip, it was so secluded and peaceful. Plenty of sleeping for 15+, with a bed for everyone. The house was big, and roomy, and the back deck was a great place to relax. The water is very calm, though does pick up a little during the day, but perfect for our 9 kids! We really enjoyed the paddleboard and lily pad, relaxing in the beach chairs, catching crabs, lizards, and even a tree frog, shooting hoops, riding scooters up and down the driveway, jumping off the pier, trying to fish and spending endless time in the warm water. We were also lucky to experience some different military helicopters and training just across the sound on the barrier island, which was very entertaining! We also rented a jet ski just down the road before Navarre which was easily driven down the sound to the home and then back. One of the best surprise perks of the home was the separate ice maker - it was so hot and we ALWAYS had ice for drinks and the cooler! Plenty of stores within 5-10 mins, pizza and grocery delivery were possible to the home also. Michelle was available quickly to answer any questions and was more than accommodating to us when some small work needed to be done in the home during our stay. Tons of outdoor kids toys, crib/high chair/walker if needed, beach towels provided, and just all around a great place to spend time with family. We all agreed that this home, location, and private beach were absolutely perfect. Thanks again Michelle!

The Soundside Retreat was beautiful and everything you would want for all ages.

The house was beautifully and comfortably appointed. The access to the private beach and water was perfect, especially for the 2 1/2 year old. My husband fished off the dock everyday. The restaurants in the area are convenient. I think we tried every single one.. The public beach in Navarre was easy to get too and clean. The house comes equipped with everything you could possibly need. Grocery pick up was efficient and convenient from Publix. I can not say enough how helpful and communicative the hosts, Michelle and Doug, were. We had a wonderful and memorable vacation and look forward to going back!

Paradise on the Sound

Every aspect of our experience at Soundside Retreat exceeded our expectations. We have rented many properties at many beaches over the years. This property is the family favorite by far. The Owners have demonstrated an amazing level of hospitality in the appointments and upkeep of the property. We truly felt like their guests. They clearly desire a family vacation experience for their guests as close as possible to their own family vacation experiences. The kids absolutely loved playing in the sound, using the paddle board, kayak and the big blue floating mat. We were able to watch dolphins fishing and military airborne training exercises from the porch, beach or dock. An added bonus was having an awesome fishing charter adventure with Captain Cory Holland (Liquid Prescription Charters) that departed from the dock on the property. We are already looking forward to new adventure experiences next summer at Soundside Retreat.

Best Family Vacation!

The house and location a perfect for families. There were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group and we had plenty of room. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and it had everything that we needed. The private beach was the best. The kids stayed busy with all of the activity options. Michelle and Doug were so easy to work with and they made sure that we had everything that we needed. We will rent this house again as we had 16 very happy people at the end of our stay.

Wonderful Vacation!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here! We celebrated my father in laws 80th Birthday! We are a large family and this house offered plenty of room, and never felt cramped! The communication with the owners from beginning to end was great! This house offered everything you would need to enjoy your vacation! The house was fully stocked with fun beach items and toys, floats, games, cookware, Towels, anything you truly need. Our family personally loved the pier. The Guys enjoyed fishing and catching catfish, lady fish, and an awesome Redfish! The children loved jumping off of the pier and crab hunting up and down the beach. The location of the house is perfect. Most grocery stores just a few miles away. We drove a few days to Navarre Beach and enjoyed. If you are truly looking into this house, BOOK IT! You will not regret this! Thanks again for helping make wonderful memories for my Family.
