This was beautiful and comfortable, clean and in good shape, and well set up to accommodate our family. Kids and adults all liked the jetted tub, the games and toys provided, the fireplace, and thought the beds were really comfortable. A quiet, serene setting with a welcoming, wide porch made for a relaxing, cozy winter weekend away. Host Janie was very communicated and helpful. Would highly recommend!

What a peaceful and beautiful haven! This cabin is a gem! The beauty begins before you even step inside, with a full porch overlooking the woods, complete with rockers and a big swing. Once you’re inside, absolutely every detail is well thought out and amazing, and everything is so welcoming. We’ve never encountered a more gracious and kind host - thank you again Janie!! There’s plenty of room, and for us, the wheelchair accessibility was such a gift. Prepare to relax and enjoy stargazing or just hanging out and playing games. We look forward to coming back!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the cabin. It exceeded our expectations. It was clean and decorated beautifully. There was a welcome note and a bag of snacks waiting for us, The deck was a great place to spend time reading and relaxing. The cabin was perfect for our older dogs, since there were no steps to get inside and the deck was enclosed. The host gave so much information which was helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we will be in the area.

Perfect stay 10/10. This place is equipped better than any locale we’ve ever visited. Not only are the necessities covered, the kitchen along is stocked to the hilt, with everything you may need to cook a gourmet dinner. We have and will stay here again, and highly recommend to anyone considering this location.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The house has everything you need and it our pups were very happy it is also pet friendly! We enjoyed the piece and quiet. I loved sitting on the porch swing with my coffee every morning. The hosts made everything super easy for check-in. We will definitely be back!

I’ve stayed here twice now, and definitely will again. A nice retreat in the woods. The host stocks the house well with little things you might need, but forgot to pack as well as a full kitchen with cooking necessities. They are also dog friendly, down to having multiple blankets specifically for your dogs if they get on furniture/beds. The host is extremely responsive to any questions you have. Book it, get away with family, you won’t regret it.

This property is amazingly clean and it’s our first stay at this one Buchaven. We have stayed at the one directly across named Doves Nest. We have been coming to berkley springs 2 times a year since 2013. But Janie’s properties are the best and most enjoyable. Will be back again

What a relaxing vacation! It's a gorgeous property set atop a hill in the forest and very private. The house itself is well-appointed and extremely comfortable, complete with handmade furniture throughout. The surrounding area is fantastic to explore, especially Capacon Park. Both Janie and Cy are wonderful people. Will definitely recommend this property to anyone seeking a peaceful stay.

Heaven on Earth!

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the cozy touches that made it feel like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful surroundings, stunning views, and attention to detail throughout the property.Every amenity we could have hoped for was provided—from a fully stocked kitchen to extra comfy beds, soft linens, and even board games for rainy days. The outdoor area was a dream: the deck is a perfect spot for morning coffee, and we enjoyed many meals outside. The beautiful deck furniture and swing were perfect for soaking in the natural beauty. We really enjoyed the tall trees off the back of the cabin; it felt like we were in a treehouse.It’s clear that the host puts a lot of love and care into this place. Communication was seamless, check-in was a breeze, and we felt completely taken care of from start to finish. Thank you, Janie!We’re already planning our next visit. Little piece of heaven

My wife and I both work many hours and we were looking for a place to unplug from the hustle. We wanted to unwind with our two dogs and enjoy some peace and quit. The cabin did not disappoint. We found ourselves whispering to each other outside because of how quit it was. The location was absolutely perfect. Many trails close by along with some state parks. The cabin was absolutely immaculate with its cleanliness as well as the wonderful amenities.check in was a breeze and uneventful. I highly recommend this wonderful property if you want to get away from the day to day grind.

Perfect Winter Retreat

Buck Haven was the most organized, well stocked rental we have experienced in our 20 years of travel. Cooking at the cabin is a breeze! The property manager was available by text and ensured we transitioned smoothly in and out of the cabin - she even made sure we had fruit/coffee/and fresh farm eggs. Our pup came with us and enjoyed long walks down the driveway and the seclusion of the cabin. A cozy dog blanket was even provided for him! The cabin was very clean, spacious, and we are already planning to come back with friends to rent Buck Haven and the only other nearby property, Dove's Nest. These properties couldn't be better maintained. Beautiful, authentic cabin stay with modern amenities!

Christmas week

This cabin is amazing! Beautiful wood, stone fireplace, soaring ceilings and windows, with beautiful craftsmanship. Fully appointed with so many special touches ... fruit bowl, fresh eggs, numerous spices, Kcups, and complimentary toiletries. The wraparound, covered deck was such a peaceful, quiet place that the dog and I didnt want to go inside! I highly recommend!

Relaxing weekend getaway

Buck Haven is spectacular! It exceeded our expectations in every way. The home is well organized, stocked and spotless. Janie is super responsive and accommodating. We felt so welcome with the sweet note and treats (even for our four-legged friend) upon arrival. The cabin is nestled in the woods just outside of town providing just the seclusion and quiet space we were looking for. The home itself does not disappoint either. It has that “wow factor” upon entering. Curl up with a good book and your furry friend infront of the fireplace, or relax on the porch swing, or buy the campfire! Every option is perfect.

Perfect get away

We had a wonderful weekend at Buck Haven. Janie and Cy, the hosts have thought of everything to make for a perfect weekend stay. The cabin is so comfortable and the views are amazing. We love sitting out on the deck and enjoying the scenery. Check in and out is very easy and they were very flexible. This was the second time we have stayed there and we hope to be able to do it again next year.

Excellent place to relax & enjoy nature

The property's architectural design is very well done & attention to detail is awesome. The cleanliness was impeccable. Manager's communication & special touches sets the stay at Buck Haven apart from all the other like properties There is nothing that wasn't perfect. Looking forward to coming back for our 5th time.
