  • A very large suite on a Victorian estate conveniently located in the middle of town. Loft style suite includes a king size bed with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. High speed Internet. 2 person tub is perfect for a relaxing soak (no jets in the tub at this time).Fireplace not included.
    Twin roll-away bed available for an additional $20.
    Romantic getaway or a relaxing stop on your journey. Walking distance to three local restaurants.
    Enjoy walking the grounds and the pavilion if available.
    NO SMOKING, NO PETS, Next to railroad tracks (Train goes by about twice a day and noise lasts about 30 seconds.)
    1908 Victorian Mansion sits on 1 acre of land in downtown Marshfield, Missouri. The Dickey House has hosted a US President, multiple Missouri Governors and historical figures such as Laura Ingalls Wilder.

The jetted tub was nice! A well appointed room! Walking distance to newly opened donut shop, breakfast place, and the small downtown core! A great place away from the freeway!

The room was private and clean. We liked every thing about it. Just make sure you know the jets in the tub don’t work. That was the only draw back for us. The train did not disturb us at night. We would definitely stay here again!

Well not putting apps on my phone, I wasn't able to get the instructions to our cabin (which I didn't realize I wasn't actually staying the house) so we had to bang on the house door for quite a while since nobody answered the text to the only number we could find on our itinerary sheet. Oh yes it said we would get instructions for checking in and out 3 days before our arrival ( it was that same morning we actually got instructions) if it was done correctly I would of got the instructions before we arrived, on my computer. Once we got past the checking in, it was very nice place to stay. I loved the chairs at the end of the bed, no watching TV in the bed. Would I recommend staying here. Absolutely a big YES. I just wish that not everything has to be on apps. having a person greet you is so much more personal.

I would highly recommend this property. I will stay here every time I come to Marshfield. The host, Sarah is fabulous and the Dickey House well exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved it.

Nice place

Overall a good place to stay. Loved having a jacuzzi, and the owner was helpful in telling me the place I originally booked would not have that, and moved me to another unit because I was looking forward to it after a long drive.

We thought a VBRO would be the most comfortable for multi night stay. Dickey House is walking distance to downtown eateries & shops.

The property is nice… we stayed in the Prairie Suite for three nights! The room itself is ample in size and fairly clean! We were surprised that the hosts provided only two wash cloths for our entire stay, in addition, there were no paper towels or dish cloths for the little snack/coffee bar so we purchased some, when we went out to purchase bath soap, as none was provided, not biggies, but also not convenient! The mini fridge was nice, but the freezer had so much ice build up we couldn’t fit our cold packs in for them to freeze for the next day! Again, not a deal breaker, but definitely inconvenient! The place is in need of a good deep cleaning/dusting, BUT, the bedding was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the privacy was great! Mom’s Diner (right next door) is an amazing place for a good home cooked breakfast! Staff were super friendly!

Cute Cottage

Overall the property was quaint & quiet and the stay was comfortable. A little more attention could have been paid to what kind of amenities are provided and the (deep clean) cleanliness of the apartment.
