Truly enjoyed our stay in this cottage! It was surprisingly roomy and nicely updated. We arrived to find fresh flowers on the table and new bottles of orange juice, water, and milk left thoughtfully in the fridge. Just about everything we needed was there, including a small tool set that enabled us to open a battery compartment of one of my son's toys. The place was extremely clean. The neighborhood was quiet with almost no traffic. In fact, we spotted a deer in the back yard one morning. It was a short walk to the sandy beach where my younger son had fun finding hermit crabs at low tide. (The tide clock in the front room was a nice touch, and helpful too.) This is a great location if you want to be close to the beach and within driving distance of Plymouth without being in the middle of a busy, touristy area. We took a day trip to Cape Cod, about two and a half hours to Provincetown at the tip, with plenty of interesting stops along the way. The historic Winslow House is just down the road, and offers public tours and great children's programs for history buffs with kids. The general store and the Lobster Pound (seafood shack) were only a quick walk away. Nancy was quick to return messages and answer all our questions. We particularly appreciated that we could book for less than a full week because we wanted to spend a day on the way back at another site. We would definitely recommend this rental and would stay there again if we decide to go back to New England.
