Our host was amazing. Upon booking, they shared a wealth of information about local attractions, hikes, food, etc. The house was extremely well stocked and there was nothing we needed that wasn't there. Impeccably clean too!

Our stay at Seamist was absolutely wonderful. The space was cozy, peaceful, and perfectly positioned with incredible views of Tomales Bay. We loved how relaxing and easy everything felt, and we’d definitely return for another quiet getaway.

Perfect spot on the bay

Exactly as we envisioned. A short walk to Marshall Store, the best lunch on the bay. Kids enjoyed the tide pools under the house. House is in great condition and comfortable.The dock was compromised by the storm, which affected most docks in the bay, and the pictures have not been retaken. Hopefully they will be able to repair it.

An Amazing Stay!

What a great little place! Defiantly a place to unwind. Everything was just as I like it, Clean, No clutter, well picked out furniture. top notch linens,cookware and appliances. Great views!! walking distance to great food! We watches seals swim by, Pelicans dive for food, jellyfish float by. The hot tub feels like an infinity pool. The front garden area looks meticulously maintained but yet very tranquil. We really enjoyed our stay, You can tell this place is well loved.

New Year’s 2023/2024

Our stay in Tomales was perfect! Very well appointed cottage. Wood burning stove with plenty of firewood, kitchen utensils/equipment, beds were comfortable, clean and well kept. All our needs were met. Owner provided information that was insightful and useful. We especially appreciated the written oyster shucking directions and knives. My son is now a pro-shucker (3 dozen oysters enjoyed).

hope to come back

we only spent one night at rental due to illness. so kinda a bummer for us. waste of money due to no fault of renter. the place was clean and very nice. the only complaint was that i did not see that this was a shared property. not that it made too much of a difference but i would have liked to have know. also the door to our property had no lock into door in kitchen- again not huge but something that shoud be dealt with.

Sea Mist Cottage was lovely, well-located, and comfortable. We had attentive service from the property manager. (There was a half-day electric outage and they were really helpful and pleasant!)

a perfect getaway

We did a little ladies getaway with oysters and hiking and the house was the perfect home base. We loved waking up to the changing views of the bay and doing cold plunges during hot tub soaks. I recommend this house.

Beautiful home with great views and amenties

This house was all we could have wanted - the views from nearly every room are even better than the pictures, including from the hot tub. The house is in excellent condition and was super clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked and the house has all the comforts you could want, from the wood stove for cold and foggy days to the fans for hot days. We would happily stay here again.

Great Getaway

This was an unanticipated amazing get away weekend! I missed the part on the listing about no TV but it wound up being one of the biggest highlights of the weekend! In addition to the location, private hot tub, and personal dock, couldn't have asked for a better way to get away. It was amazing to disconnect, listen to music, and play non-electronic games for an entire weekend. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits.

paradise on Tomales Bay

We've rented several homes in Stinson and Seadrift that have been good to great. Sea Mist is awesome. Clean, well-stocked, quiet, beautiful views and peaceful. It's the kind of place you look up to see if you could figure out how to buy it. We were there for a power outage and property manager visited with supplies and offer to help. Our kids are older. This wouldn't have been ideal for them as toddlers. It's more of a grown up space.

Lovely getaway on Tomales Bay

We spent a delightful weekend on Tomales Bay, enjoying spectacular October weather and wonderful vistas from the house and deck. This spot is cozy, well appointed, well maintained, and a great location.
