One of only a handful of properties that could handle our extended family group size and on the lake to boot! We could watch the sun rise and set from the dock. The yard was great for the kids to play in (bring yard games with you). Stairs to the lake were challenging for grandma, but we knew that would be the case based on photos. What we didn’t realize or notice before renting is that there is also a step down into the living room (sunken living room) and then a step back up to get into the first floor bedrooms. Worth noting for older guests. The house is older and has some repair needs/issues. For example, not all the windows were operable and we ran into a couple of snafus during our stay with the plumbing. The owners were immediately receptive to our messages and came by twice to help take care of things. The guest cabin is a converted shed that is cute, but the bathroom is incredibly tiny and hard to move in even for the smallest of people. I recommend housing the kids/teens there as they like the clubhouse feel. Long story short, the house is not perfect and has some unusual quirks, but if if you’re like us, and spend most your time outside exploring, you will not be disappointed by this home’s yard, lake access, views, privacy, and quick easy drive into town (only 3 minutes away from restaurants and stores).
