    Kouw's Cabins are located 1.5 miles down a gravel road from trail 7 and only 3 miles from Doe Lake. Surrounded by the beautiful Hiawatha State forest you'll have access to countless snowmobile, cross country ski, snowshoe, and hiking trails. Drive down the dirt road in the National forest and you’ll fins a small cabin with lots of beds, a fire pit in back and a wonderful time away from everything but near enough to go hiking and sightseeing.

Great time in Michigan

It was great to meet the host and stay in the cabin. We loved the location, and place was as described. It is about 20 min to Musing and about 1 hour to kitch-iti-kipi. We will stay here again if opportunity comes up.

A great getaway!

Very clean cabin that was exactly as described. Great communication with property manager and owner. Had a great time and would definitely recommend staying there.

Nice place!

We really enjoyed the property and the distance from Munising was just perfect! The house is clean and comfortable and the fire pit was a great spot to hang out in the evening!

We used the A frame cabin as home base for our National LakeShore visit. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. The kids loved sleeping in the loft.

UP family adventure

Perfect location for snowmobiling

We stayed for a long weekend of family snowmobiling. The location was perfect, right down the road from Trail 7. Cabin was clean and there was plenty of room for our family of 4. We had no issues and would book again.

Calming and quiet

The stay was amazing. I took one of the best naps of my life on the couch. The beds were nice, everything was clean and worked very well. The owners got back to me in a timely manner even at night which is great. I would 100% stay here again if i am given the chance.

Very nice

This cabin was very clean upon our arrival and had everything you would hope ( towels + dishes + cleaning supplies). We had 4 people and more than enough room.

Hiawatha National Forest cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Property was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. It is a remote location. Know that you will be taking a series of gravel or dirt roads to get there. If you like quiet and privacy, you will find it here.

Great stay

Clean, cuter in person, large yard space for kids and dogs, great fire pit and seating outside, about 20-ish minutes from town, sits on dirt road that you get to on dirt road (which didn't bother us but wasn't aware of beforehand). Well stocked and great communication.

Amazing Stay

This was something my family and I had booked last minute and we were amazed with how clean and cute the place was. It is cozy and comfy. It is only about 15-20 minutes from Munising and has such a beautiful drive in. One of the barn cats came to visit us and he was an absolute sweetie. The hosts' description and response times were impeccable. We had such a wonderful time here. If you are heading to the UP I would highly recommend this location whether you are traveling with friends, family, etc. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Loved the Kozy Kabins!

We loved everything about our stay! The cabin fit our family’s needs perfectly. The location was very central to everything we were interested in doing- going into Munising or tooling around the many side by side trails in the area. The fire pit was great for an evening bon fire. There was a charcoal or a propane grill available for use. We all said the beds were super comfortable! There is no signal or internet on the way, but very fast Wi-Fi available in the cabin. We highly recommend and hope to return!

I (40f) brought my son (20m) and newly graduated daughter (18f) up to the UP for their first time as a request by my daughter before she heads off to college. This cabin is so cute and very clean. We had a great time together. It is secluded enough to be away from everyone and only a 15 minute or so drive into downtown Munising. The beds were comfy, the water pressure was amazing after a hard days play, the hosts were so nice and made themselves available, even though we didn't need them! If we come up next year I would LOVE to stay again. Great price, great location, clean, and comfy. It's comparable to camper camping but with way more room and amenities. Thanks so much guys! Hope to see you next year!!!

Reunion

Everything was fine. Except the shower the shower head doesn't move and it is directed at the wall so you have to press up against the wall to wash. Was not pleasant. Air conditioner does not get to the loft so it was very hot up there.
