We had a wonderful time here. The property is private, quiet, convenient, laid back, clean, and roomy. Mike was very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed stargazing at night and slept well. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great home base to explore Yosemite

We stayed for 2 nights and it was a great space for our family. Loved having laundry and a full kitchen. Would recommend and would certainly stay again if we were back in the area.

Phenomenal stay

The house was everything it was advertised to be. Quite location, beautiful night sky with access to a telescope, clean house, and well stocked. The host, Mike, responded in good time and ensured we had what we needed. My mom got to see the night sky she remembered from her teenage years. We will absolutely keep this property in mind for future vacations. Mom said this is one of her top three houses she has ever stayed at.

Yosemite Vacation

We stayed at this rental during our family vacation to Yosemite. This was the perfect place, it had all the amenities that we needed, and the location was great. We loved staying in a place that provided privacy, and easy accessibility to get to the park or Mariposa. They do a great job of keeping the bugs to a minimum! The host was great at communication. We would recommend this rental to others and would use it again on a return visit.

Quite Getaway

Listing is exactly as described. Perfect place to stay with kids and pets to get away from LA. Close to the highway, but not enough traffic for it to be an issue. About an hour's drive to Yosemite via El Portal.

Very cozy and quaint cabin that is well stocked w/ great wifi with no drop out and basic satellite channels. Host very responsive.Pro's: Very quiet stream on the side of the cabin that was perfect for walking with our puppies. Not too much bugs and didn't see any wildlife.

Quiet Get Away

The owner, Michael, has the house dialed in when it comes to providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are 2 other houses on the property but it is still quiet & private. It was the perfect home base for our excursions. The town of Mariposa has lots of cool shops to explore & places to grab a bite.

Great Stay

The listing is exactly as described, located in a peaceful and secluded area just a short drive from Mariposa. The property was clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking. One note is that the queen bed is quite elevated, which might be a bit challenging for shorter individuals to get in and out of. That said, it was a great stay overall, especially for the price!

All the comforts of home and then some!

We had a wonderful stay. The communication with Mike and Mikayla (the housecleaner) was top notch. Loved that there was an iron and board. Didn't pack that! Pictures make it look smaller than it was. Very nice, Tidy, cozy, and peaceful. Highly recommend.

Yosemite National Park

We stayed here for 6 nights so we could go see and explore Yosemite. We love being away from crowds but still only 10 minutes from Mariposa. The drive was about 45 minutes to the park. We didn’t find time for the telescope but what a great idea!

A bit concerning...

I want to leave a positive review because of how quick Mike (the host) was in responding as well as the overall location and openness to allow our dog last minute, but I have to mention that the place did have its problems. The beds were all uncomfortable, especially the larger bed sandwiching us in with how sunken and used it was (we're both very light by the way). We also stumbled upon a few hornets and baby scorpions inside when we entered which was concerning considering we had a dog with us. Aside from that, we did enjoy the property and stargazing, along with folks driving by in vintage cars, waving hello to us from the highway. The host Mike was very receptive and responsive to our concerns after the stay and he promised to fix the issues for upcoming travelers, so hopefully all is handled by the time you arrive at this getaway! Nearby town and lots of charm around :)

Great Place

It’s a nice little two bedroom house. Even though it’s on Hwy 49 it’s a very quiet place because there’s just not much traffic on the road. It’s 10 miles north of Mariposa which is a fun gold mine era town.

Cabin near Mariposa

This little cabin was perfect for us. Clean and comfortable in a quiet foothill countryside. It was easy to check in and out.

This place is dirty.

Floors, table cloths, hands towels, oven and sheets were dirty . Also, I found leftover snacks. I do not recommend to book this cabin.
