Cabin was cozy, kitchen was on the small side which was to be expected. We brought all of the food for our trip and made it in the little kitchen. Seemed to have everything we needed for our dishes. We spent majority of the time in the beautiful living room and would run the fireplace to warm up the house. Central heating wasn't the best due to the thermostat being in the same room as the fireplace but nothing layering up couldn't fix. My partner and I didn't mind as we like lounging around under a blanket. TV was perfect for the space and we spent hours watching TV, and playing board games in the living room. The location is gorgeous. Feels very cozy but still not far away from town to get gas, groceries or go out for a bite to eat. For us it was the perfect getaway. My favorite part (other than the fireplace) had to be the qults on every bed, all of them were beautiful and comfortable! The host was also super accommodating and has a bunch of different pillows to choose from so you can find one that best fits you.

Cozy, perfect, and easy stay. My dog enjoyed the morning dew and chasing squirrels. Love how the cabin had everything to cook, clean, and enjoy the nights with movies and a fire pit! Quiet and peaceful! Love the astronomy stuff as well!

Fairly cleaned. Air conditioner kept the cabin comfortable but only if you ran the ceiling fan at the same time. We noticed that there was another rental property near the cabin and there was a camper that looked like it could be used as a rental property and there was another small home on the property that appeared to look like someone [the owner] was living there. Ring cameras was on the sides and back of the rental property also. If I had known this I would have not rented this home. It took away from the privacy feel of the property that was promised on the website.

Great Getaway to see the stars and Yosemite

The location is nice and quiet, away from the busy city life. The night sky here is perfect to star gaze especially with a small observatory with a telescope to see the stars. Mike, the host, is easy to contact and keep in touch with when you need anything or have any questions. The house is cozy and well maintained. We appreciated the details and signage throughout the house. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking essentials. Bear in mind that you are a decent drive away from any markets so stock up prior to arrival. It’s about an hour drive to the entrance of Yosemite but you will get to enjoy the drive along the Merced river as you approach the gates.

Amazing Stay

This place was amazing. It was the perfect size for our small family and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us by being in the country but still close to the best attractions in the area. Listening to the wild turkeys gobbling in the morning was a bonus. We are very happy we picked this property.

Peaceful setting, comfy cabin, easy to recommend

The setting and cabin are great. Communication is excellent without being intrusive. Kitchen has all you need. Bed in the upstairs is comfortable. It would be a grwat spot if you needed a week or so to...write a book, soul search, finish a project. It just had that kind of feel. It was the perfect launching/landing pad for our Yosemite day.

EXCEPTIONAL! This is by far the best cabin we have stayed in. It ishas extra linens and towels, laundry soap, dish soap, a roll away bed, spices, hair dryer and so many other small things you just forget to pack. The barn has a vending machine with snacks and drinks. The owner is very quick to respond and was very helpful when I had questions. This is a clean, comfortable home away from home.

Great getaway

Beautiful property out in the country. The observatory was an added bonus. There was a meteor shower the first night and my husband was lucky enough to see a meteor through the telescope! Wish we could have stayed longer.
