We had an amazing vacation at this beautiful home. While the pictures showed the dock being accessible to a boat, it was not. That was disappointing but we made due. The air conditioning did not work, we opened the windows all over to help move some sort of air into the home because it was still warm over the weekend. The home was generally clean, and I know it is more of a cabin, the window sills were full of dead flies. The home was a great weekend get away, despite the little things I mentioned. I think the air conditioning not working was the top thing for most.

Everything was wonderful. It was a group of 9 ladies for a family (girls) weekend getaway. I heard so many compliments on the decor, the scenery and the overall charm. We will definitely be back! (the candles were flameless/fake)

It was a nice property. The pictures/description did not show or mention how close the neighbors are. The next dooe neighbor was cutting trrs and doing woodwork with chainsaws at 730 in the morning. Oyr girls were looking forward to fishing of the dock but the weeds are so overgrown that it made it impossible to do. There was no laundry supplies, which is a first for us staying somewhere that isnt supplying that to wad towels.

The house worked out perfectly for our family which included 3 generations. The property would be perfect if the lake was accessible from the pier. However, the weeds were so high and thick that we could not even fish from the pier. Otherwise, the house is laid out well and included almost everything we needed. The porch is a great place to relax after a busy day. The kids had a blast at the beach in Oconto Falls. Overall, I would recommend for anyone who does not need direct lake access at a time of the year when the weeds are high.

We spent over a week at Family Fun on the Flowage for our son’s USA Bowling National Championship Tournament & Junior Gold both in Green Bay. The house was super roomy and had everything we needed including plenty of toilet paper, soap, paper towels and garbage bags for our extended stay. We loved sitting on both the outdoor patio and screened in porch during the evenings. With a fully stocked kitchen and charcoal grill it was easy to cook up meals. The only criticism we had was the lack of clothing storage for the main floor bedroom - we did live out of our suitcases for the 10 days we were there which was an inconvenience. But given all the positives of the property I don’t consider it a negative or deal breaker but worth mentioning so future visitors plan accordingly.

Family fun at the Flowage

The property was just perfect for our 3 generation group of 9. We have never found a VRBO with three full bathrooms, and the hot water kept up perfectly! Bedrooms were spacious, the arcade games were enjoyable. Dishwasher worked great, but could use a few. More kitchen towels. Grandma would have liked a couple of easy chairs in the dining room to feed the baby in. Thanks for the pack n play! Frog catching and kayaking were enjoyed. We visited the Peshtigo Fire museum, Copper Culture state park, Shawano Fkea Market Gilmer Falls and Kuegels cheese shop. Stopping at Bay Beach to complete our annual Memorial Day Weekend trip. Thank you!

Great little getaway

A group of 8 adults stayed for the weekend to celebrate a 40th birthday. The house was perfect for our group. It was clean and well stocked. The check in process was seamless. Our only regret was not bringing our ice fishing gear to try it out.

Post-holiday rest

This place was perfect for the 4 of us adults to rejuvenate after the busy holiday season. It was consistent with the pictures and description. The kitchen had what was needed to prepare and enjoy our food; bedrooms were wonderful - each with a great view of the water; the game cupboard, comfortable couches around the TV, video games, and many DVD movies provided the entertainment we needed; the owners were very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely fashion; check-in and check-out were simple. We would definitely stay here again if our plans lead us there.

5 Stars with a couple of caveats

To give this location a 4 would be criminal so the 5 star rating was definitely appropriate. The facilities were as advertised and they even had a small Christmas Tree set-up. Easy to find despite cautions otherwise and in a great area. The views of the frozen flowage were wonderful from all rooms and the decor was tasteful as well as comfortable. The only caveats were that a couple of rooms could use a good deep cleaning They were what I would call 'casually' clean, meaning that they were, in general, meeting all you would expect in a clean house. There were just small details, tiny really, that you probably wouldnt notice if you werent running around, exploring the grounds.The outside could use a pressure wash come the Spring but for us, during the Winter, it was a non-issue.The only other slight drawback were the number of Asian Lady Beetles (fake ladybugs). It was surprising considering we were there during December but there were more than a couple of dozen spotted around the house. Again, they werent a nuisance, but they were notable.We used the kitchen and utensils, pans, etc to make a Christmas dinner and everything turned out wonderfully. The property was warm and everything was inviting. The video games were a big hit with young and old alike.Our family would recommend and will probably look toward finding time to rent this property again during the warmer months to take advantage of all the water activities that the property promises.

Great space for a family gathering!

We loved the view of the water and the night sky. The kids really enjoyed the arcade games and gathering at the table for game night. Very clean. Plenty of room. Full kitchen stocked with supplies.

Great for families

Family Gathering in Oconto Falls WI

What a lovely place to host our family for a stay. Had all of the comfort and warmth we needed. Kitchen is well stocked and the extra large dining table was a bonus for us. Beds comfortable. 2 car garage was also welcome. And the view and outside area were great. Overall we recommend this home.

Relaxing family vacation

Our family of seven had a relaxing week at the Flowage. The house was large enough to accomodate all of us, and we enjoyed the large dining area for family meals and games. The outside patio space was also a favorite gathering spot around the fire. The pier was very weedy and it was not possible to fish, but the host did communicate this to us when we first booked so we were aware. Overall, we had a nice, relaxing week!

Great being with my Family

The house was beautiful. Just like the pictures. It was obvious that the owners put a lot of love, time and great decoration. Beautiful. My husband and I loved sitting on the porch facing the lake and watching all the birds and listening to the nature music of the frogs and birds waiting for the rest of the family get up for the day. We found that those downstairs could hear every step anyone made. So we just advantage of each other and the incredible view. We bought an inflatable boat to fish in for the trip because of the last picture. It showed that there were no weeds and was open to put in the lake. A neighbor told us that they drained the lake a couple of years ago to get the weeds under control, but when they put the lake water back up it made it much worse. The cattails completely surrounded 3 sides of the pier and impossible to put in the boat. My kids brought 4 kayaks. My granddaughter and son took 2 out on the one open side but almost got stuck in the mud. So don’t plan on fishing at all from the pier. Didn’t get any on the lake either except for my son in law who went by the boat landing and really loved it. Him and my daughter also went up to the falls an hour away and said it was incredible. The rest of us took advantage of the great amenities and games our hosts had at the house! The TV downstair, the internet and games were perfect! There were a lot of books, games and fire pit outside behind the house. Anything we needed was there.
