Our stay at The White Turtle Villa was absolutely wonderful. The house was spotless upon arrival and fully equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The private pool was a highlight and the sunset views from the property are truly breathtaking. Beyond the house itself, the communication with the owners was top-notch. We had an amazing time exploring the island by car are by boat and would highly recommend this Villa anyone visiting St. Lucia

Amazing

This place is the perfect getaway! We loved the house. Bed was very comfortable as were the seating areas throughout the house. The pool was great. The location is convenient because you can get to the north or south sides of the island in an hour. This place is worth every penny!

A perfect sanctuary

We absolutely loved this home! We rented a car for our visit, so after going out for activities, coming back to this beautiful home, pool and tropical setting was pure relaxation. The kitchen has beautiful cabinets and countertops and is well equipped, the bed in the master was very comfortable (there were just 2 of us staying there) and the decor and furnishings inside and out were comfortable and attractive. We especially enjoyed the views from the top level balcony, breakfast outside on the covered balcony every morning and a couple of gorgeous sunsets! The pool was wonderful-8 free style strokes from end to end, so you can actually a swim a little bit if you choose. The pool lights and garden lights added a special touch at night. The outside shower is the best! Wherever we were in the home, on the balconies or at the pool, it felt very private, topped off with a gorgeous view of the Caribbean. The property manager, Will, was also fantastic. Very helpful and responsive. The home was spotless and the grounds were very pretty and well kept. The location on the island was great, being about halfway between the northern sights and the southern sights, with numerous restaurants just minutes away. We highly recommend a private water taxi during your stay. The island is so beautiful from the water and its a very enjoyable way to visit various snorkel sights and more. We were so pleased that this house, White Turtle, turned out to be a "homerun" in every way.

Great rental!

If you are looking for a more authentic and private experience than the big resorts, this is a great option! Beautiful home on a quiet hill a short walk from Marigot Bay that is incredibly well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Communication with the owners and property manager was excellent and they offered many great recommendations during our stay. We did have a few things stolen from the pool area one night but the owners immediately addressed the situation and offered to refund or replace what was taken. It sounds like the incident was an isolated one involving someone from the area who has some mental issues and a reputation for petty theft. I would just suggest future guests not leave things outside over night but overall we felt the area was very safe. Highly recommend this rental and we will def look to stay here again the next time we are in Marigot Bay.

The Best Villa in Marigot Bay

From booking through to departure our experience at The White Turtle Villa was amazing. Kathy and Mike are wonderful, responsive and so helpful, while their Manager Will welcomed us onsite, checked in on us, and gave us great beach and restaurant recommendations. The Villa has everything you need, we stayed in most nights and cooked, and did restaurants for lunch. It is relaxing, quiet and calm amongst the beautiful garden setting and delightful pool. A perfect stay for us, thank you!

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful stay at the White Turtle. The owners, management and recommendations were very helpful prior to check in and during the stay. Its location is up a mountain and overlooking a cove. Very serene and private. It is not close to popular excursions and requires a long car or taxi ride. The house layout is delightful for close friends or family. We spent most of our time on the deck areas. Our bedroom a/c was not operating during our stay. We tried to deal with it for a couple of nights and then reached out to management which tried to help but unfortunately was unable to be repaired during our stay. There were some maintenance issues we felt needed attention that I also made them aware of that would have been nice to know as they were not visible in the photos. Despite those things, we still enjoyed our stay and especially loved the food, the people and each and every local we came in contact with. The people of Saint Lucia are a fun and spirited bunch that we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know.

Winter Escape to St. Lucia!

We had a fabulous adventure to St. Lucia! We loved White Turtle Villa! Mike & Kathy have thought of everything & made our arrival so seamless. Even when our first flight was cancelled due to snow storms & it looked like we might not make it, they reassured us they would contact the others. We did make it after all! They had arranged for Marie (Sam) to pick us up at HVF and drive us to the villa. Nina was there to check us in & show us around. Since grocery stores were closed early on Sundays, they put us in touch with Claudia, who made & served supper, & bought groceries for supper & the next morning's breakfast. These were not inexpensive, but were well worth it given our arrival time & location. They also arranged for a rental car company to bring us a car the next morning for our use during our stay. This was a very basic, low level car that got us places, but with some struggle going up those extremely steep slopes. We hadn't realized how bad the roads were and might have preferred a more powerful vehicle with actual adjustable seats. Be aware: the roads are narrow, bumpy, or collapsing, winding or switchbacks in some places, plus driving on the left side of the road with the driver's seat on the right! The villa itself was beautiful! Large rooms with lots of light and good furniture. There's AC & ceiling fans, plus mosquito nets, although we didn't see any mosquitoes! Patio doors accordion open and it's lovely at any time of day! Watch out for birds. Pool & decks were amazing, surrounded by lush, tropical gardens that gave almost complete privacy! Loved sitting out in the morning & in the moonlight especially. So peaceful. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you could possibly need, 1.5 bathrooms + outdoor shower. Beach towels & bags were also on hand. We would not recommend the public beach which you have to take a water taxi to, as it's tiny and there are people who harass you to rent chairs, & try to sell you drugs, etc. However, the little cove from which you can hear the waves on a quiet night, is great for snorkelling! Favourite beaches : Sugar Beach and Anse Castanet. Great short, easy hike up the Tet Paul Trail gave amazing views of the Pitons! We do NOT recommend eating at The Villa Restaurant. The server was terribly disinterested in us, told us there were no nuts, only to then later say that there were! Our daughter had a bad reaction that could have been lethal. Otherwise, we loved our trip there and hope to return.

Secluded gem in Marigot Bay

Overall, we really enjoyed this property. The house matched the photos and the pool/outdoor space felt wonderfully secluded. The view of sunset from the balcony was outstanding. One of our favorite things about this house was that it was an easy 5 minute walk to The Villa restaurant which has delicious food. The master bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable but that would be our only complaint. Would definitely recommend this property!

Very relaxing stay

This is a lovely villa with great views of the sunset each evening. Very relaxing stay, I slept better for the two weeks than I have in a long time. Nina was available for any queries we had. Local restaurants such as The Villa., Roots 2 and independent shacks offering takeaways gave good choices for a variety of food.

The house was well cared for. The amenities were great . The pool is bigger than the picture suggested. Nina the real estate caretaker met us there to show us around . She arranged a taxi to and from the airport and the delivery of a rental car. It was a great place to stay .

Excellent!

We had an amazing time and loved the property. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in St. Lucia. Proxinity to Marigot Bay is a quick walk down hill. Easy to catch a cab back or walk for exercise if you wish. Loved the multidecks and private pool area. Plenty of towels (bath and beach provided). Good communication throughout with owners and property manager. If you don't rent a car, their recommended driver Marie is phenomenal!

Beautiful villa at Marigot Bay!

The villa is modern, clean, and beautiful with fantastic sunset views and a fun pool. Mike, and Kathy were very responsive to all our requests and really helped us feel at home as first timers. I would recommend taking their advice on taxis etc. The property manage, Lina was very helpful as well. This property was the perfect base for our vacation.

Beautiful View in Marigot Bay

White Turtle is a lovely villa perfect for 2 couples or a small family. The pool is amazing, we spent lots of time just floating and looking at the beautiful jungle surrounding us. Marigot Bay is a chill part of the island, there are a few restaurants and bars, but not crazy crowded by any means. There are lots of amenities in the bay which is a 5 minute drive from the villa.. makes it easy to get to the beaches, etc by water taxi if you’re not an adventurous driver ! Nina the house manager was super helpful, Claudia cooked delicious meals for us, and Maria was the best driver ever to and from the airport. Mike and Kathy were very helpful with recommendations and logistics. We had a great time, very relaxing and comfortable.

Most relaxing vacation ever!

Marigot Bay is a beautiful destination and the White Turtle is a perfect place to stay. From the moment you arrive, the setting is welcoming and relaxing. Nina was there when we arrived and showed us around. The house is well equipped, very comfortable and clean. Mike and Kathleen provided great information prior to our arrival so we picked up some supplies on our way in. I made breakfast in the well equipped kitchen every morning and had our coffee while enjoying the breathtaking view. I also enjoyed a glass of wine in the upper deck in the afternoons while listening to the ocean in the distance, as well as the birds. You feel like you are surrounded by nature and it was so relaxing. We especially enjoyed the company of Patsy, who made us feel right at home. The pool area is great. We spent some great afternoons lounging by the pool. There are good restaurants in the area. We particularly enjoyed the Grill at 14 61 and Roots 2. We drove to Soufriere to see the Pitons, Pigeon Island and Rodney Bay and we went zip lining at Adventure Rain Forest. Anse Chastanet, Anse Mamin and the beach by Pigeon Island were very nice. We didn’t venture to any others because we really enjoyed our quiet afternoons in the villa. We slept very comfortably in the master bedroom. The bed is very comfortable and the AC kept the room nice and cool. Overall it was one of the best stays we’ve ever had at a VRBO property. Nina was great, very helpful and Mike and Kathleen were very communicative throughout. Most of all, we will miss Patsy. Such a sweetie! And don’t worry, if you are not a cat person she will keep her distance but if you are, it’s an added bonus. We are so happy we decided to stay at the White Turtle.

The past reviews say it all, it really is a lovely place to stay but what also made it special was the great network that Mike and Kathy recommended- the taxi service/car hire/ boat trip /restaurants and Nina close by in case of any problems. It all made it easier. St Lucia needs the tourists back, it was a very welcoming island. Make sure you taken cash in USD. We couldn’t find an ATM apart from the airport that dispenses USD and queues at the bank and limits on daily ATM withdrawals. Thank you Mike and Kathy we’d love to return.

Simply Perfect!

We stayed at White Turtle Villa for 2 weeks and were very sad to leave. The villa is beautiful and in the perfect location. Surrounded by trees on the side of a hill close to Marigot Bay, we watched the sunset every evening over the Caribbean Sea from our balcony. Mike and Kathy were extremely helpful throughout the booking process and leadup to our break, and arranged taxis and fast track through the airport (highly recommended). Nina, the property manager, lives close by and was fantastic. She met us on arrival and answered all of our questions. The villa was spotlessly clean and extremely well kitted out. It has a very modern feel and excellent air conditioning. The pool area was great with 6 sunloungers, plus tables and parasols. The water was crystal clear and warmed by the sun. A very welcome break from the 35 degree sun, which appeared every day! There is really nothing negative to say about this property and we would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks Mike, Kathy and Nina for a perfect stay!

Beautiful Views, Serene Getaway

The White Turtle Villa is a beautiful, well kept home with amazing views . It is very private and quiet but within easy walking or driving distance to the charming Marigot Bay. We loved everything about our stay, and our questions were always quickly answered by our hosts Kathy and Mark, or the on island property manager, Nina. We rented a car and explored many areas of the island but we also spent some wonderful lazy days at the house enjoying the lovely, private pool and gardens. The only thing I would do differently next time is heed the advice to take a taxi from the airport when we first arrived and arrange for the rental car to be delivered the next day as driving on the island at night time is not for the faint of heart! Thank you for the use of your beautiful home.

Wonderful villa: peaceful & picturesque

A wonderful villa in a peaceful and picturesque setting. Everything was spotlessly clean and it had everything needed for the stay. The private pool was wonderful and the decks all overlooked amazing views. In walking distance to the marina, however the walk home is up some very steep roads so be prepared for the walk back! We would definitely recommend having a car during your stay as there are no shops in walking distance for food and drink.

Absolutely gorgeous

White Turtle Villa is absolutely beautiful! From the moment you walk into the home the view of the Caribbean sea is breathtaking. The home is very clean along with the grounds. The rooms were all equipped with air-conditioning, pleanty of space for clothing and lots of towels for the bathrooms and the pool, the kitchen had all the necessary amenities. There was ample amount of space for our family of 4 to move around with ease. The check-in process was flawless, we were greated by Nina the Property Manager and she walked us through and asked if there was anything we needed. There was an option to have groceries at the home upon our arrival or a home cooked meal but we chose not to, as we have picky eaters and I wasn't sure what we would need or want. It was a perfect location for restaurants, bars and grocery stores. There was a small beach within walking distance, but would recommend getting a water taxi to see some of the other beaches St. Lucia has to offer. The property owners were amazing with answering and addressing any of our questions or concerns prior to booking and after. We would definitely recommend The White Turtle Villa!

Dream life

Absolutely loved it at Villa White Turtle, what an amazing property! My husband and I met up with our two friends at the villa to enjoy 4 days of catching up, and it could not have been better. We thoroughly enjoyed the cleanliness of the villa and the view of the bay. There are plenty of amenities for you to make the most of the stay (I highly recommend using the BBQ!) and we sometimes didn't even want to leave the house as we loved being there so much! The cat Patsy feels like a family member and we all fell in love. Mike was extremely responsive and helpful in the lead up to our stay, and the standard was kept high also after we checked in since Nina (the property manager) was always available to support and answer questions during our stay. We experienced a leak on our last day (which can happen in any property) and it was handled exceptionally, i honestly don't think the house could be in better hands and (the leak situation aside) everything was of high quality. I would 100% recommend and would be happy to come back in the future!

The White Turtle villa did not disappoint

Our stay at the White Turtle was absolutely wonderful! From the start, Mike and Kathy were so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our vacation experience was smooth and easy. The villa manger, Nina, met us on arrival and was always available for all our questions. What we loved about the villa was that it had many levels, with the living areas on top, and private areas to relax and enjoy. The greenery around the villa gave us a feeling of privacy and we all agreed that the view was much better than it appeared in the pictures. Just a very minor note that the tile in the bathroom and on the pool looks worn but we understand this is sometimes a direct result of the St. Lucia sun! If we are ever back in St. Lucia, we will definitely stay again.

Wonderful VRBO!

The owners were amazing. They wanted to make sure we knew how to drive there, sent us manuel ahead of time, answered questions immediately. Fabulous home! Clean, great view, private pool! Does not get any better! Can also arrange for a cook to deliver dinner and it was great food! Highly recommend!
