Step out your door, straight into the Sonoran Desert 🌵
This is a unique lofted duplex in the middle of the Sonoran desert. We loved the solitude and beautiful sunsets from the deck. Tons of hiking opportunities right from the property. We found the apartment dated, but comfortable for 4 adults. We did have some minor complaints (multiple power outages, lack of basic cleaning supplies, no grill on-site as advertised, trash under deck) but none of which would prevent us from staying here again. If you’re looking for a perfect rental property this is not it. But if you lean on the adventurous side, and want a place outside of the hustle and bustle, where you can stargaze and connect with nature, I highly recommend staying here!!! ❤️🌵

Stay Among the Saguaros
The property sits among the saguaros of the Sonoran Desert. There is even an amazing, mature saguaro that abuts the walk-out deck. A small gate allows you to leave the property and access state land that is covered with trails suitable for hiking, horseback riding, and driving ORV's. Skies are dark. The property sits about a mile or so off the freeway, so there is road noise when the doors are open, but it's not super loud. The home is located about a 20-minute drive from downtown Maricopa, so you have a way to go if you need something from town. For us, the remoteness worked as it was the scenery and easy access to trails that attracted us. Due to its rural location, we had a few hiccups regarding electricity and connectivity, but they were short interruptions and only on one occasion. The unit is one half of a duplex with the owner, Leona, living on the opposite side. Leona was a gracious host and worked hard to make sure all was running smoothly and that we had what we needed. The kitchen is fully furnished, but you had to kind of "dig" through a lot of extras to find what you needed sometimes. If you are only staying for a night or two, the very small, camper-sized refrigerator should be sufficient. It was too small for our longer stay. The 2 bedrooms have sliding door openings to the deck and great views of the desert. It's the west side of the building, so you get the afternoon sun and sunsets! Great stay!

Desert hiking in your backyard
Just step out the door, through the gate and you’re in the desert surrounded by mountains and Saguaros. We love this property. Leona, the hostess… is very quick to handle any issues that may arise.

Sunset Bliss
Comfortable, open, lovely, wonderful décor and a great video library for the whole family. Location was quiet and had a beautiful deck for the sunset. Loved it. Comfortable beds and easy to find. I will stay again on my next visit.

Quiet and cozy
Lovely property. Well appointed and comfortable. Beautiful desert landscape, and very peaceful. Will definitely stay again. Only suggestion would be that the bed pillows were uncomfortable (bed itself was great) and probably need a refresh.

Beautiful Desert Property
This place was amazing. The views of the desert and state trust land were beautiful. We’ve never hiked through so many Saguaro cactus. Hiking from this property is as easy as walking through a gate. Hikes are as hard or easy as you want to make them. The house is very comfortable and quiet. Leona is the ultimate host and very friendly. We’d definitely rent this property again. If your tired of the hustle of the Phoenix area, this is your place!

Desert Getaway
Leona was a very gracious hostess! We did experience some check in issues due to the management company Evolve not including part of the directions to help find the property. This was not on our hostess and she offered us an extra day for the minor inconvenience even though we didn’t say anything, so we definitely feel that she is the type of hostess that wants to go above to give the renter a wonderful visit. The property is 13 miles from closest town and is beautiful and so perfect for getting away from hustle and bustle and just relaxing. The sunrises, sunsets and star gazing are breathtaking! We even saw a rocket 🚀 launch one night while staying there. Our only suggestion would be a full size refrigerator. This way you can get enough groceries for your stay and truly just relax, unless you choose to go sightseeing.

Gorgeous vacation rental. Secluded and quiet except for highway traffic at times. Very clean.
Will stay here again. The time here was just too short. We loved the place. The large deck was great for watching the meteor shower. Loved this rental.!!!!

Wonderful accommodations, very peaceful, loved having hiking in the Sonoran desert right outside the door. It was so wonderful I have already booked for next year. As mentioned previously, the refrigerator is small, only a little bigger than dorm size which is a problem if you’re staying longer than a weekend

Comfortable base to explore middle of undeveloped desert
This place looks just like it’s pictures and had everything. The sunrises and sunsets (and stars) are stunning. The setting, literally a stones throw from the Sonoran Desert Natl Monument, is great if you want to wander (not many trails —use road or washes, far fewer cacti in dogs paws!) it’s near highway and tricky to find after dark the first time, but neither was a big problem. Property was comfortable and clean and well-supplied, which was nice because we cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner (full store is 20-25min drive away). Only negative: sun had baked some of the outside chairs for too long and they needed replacemen t and there was some lingering mild/old cigarette smell from other apartment or last tenant.), not strong but noticeable on return if you aren’t a fan. If for any reason you need a place to stay î off Hwy 8 in central AZ or a comfy, total escape, this is a great option

Great place to be alone and private
beautiful site very secluded. great hiking in the back property. several steep stairs as the quarters are above the garage stalls. closest town 20 mile drive. highway noise when outside or with doors open. Difficult to find at night very dark driveway not lighted. Apartment is well appointed and has all you need to stay there.

Phenomenal oasis in the Desert
This condo was exactly as the pictures show with sunrises and sunsets from a large second floor deck and comfortable furnishings inside. Leona was wonderful and very helpful giving us places to eat, history of the house and a general feel for the area. The small refrigerator was a bit of a challenge but everything was so comfortable and well set up it was worth it.The surrounding area is a terrific area for exploring - hiking thru the trails or up the hills thru the desert and the hills. It’s an hour drive to Phoenix and Tuscan but so worth the desert beauty and seclusion!

Fantastic Place in the Desert!
Leona was there to meet us when we arrived and not only welcomed us but gave us a short history of the house. We so enjoyed this lovely place and taking morning walks out into the desert enjoying the wildlife, geology, and cacti. It is a bit fan from town but we like the solitude. We’d definitely stay again!

Comfortable, clean home
First, one negative comment. The selling pint for us was the listing of a hot tub. However, there was no hot tub that we could find. That being said, it was a very nice place, clean, well kept, remote, and quiet. Communication with the owner was very good. Overall a nice stay.

The condo is beautiful and very well taken care of by the owner. The only con is it a 50 minute drive to 90 minutes with traffic to Phoenix, but it’s worth it.

Great location to relax and see the Sonoran Desert
Our arrival was seamless. The owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The property is clean and just as pictured. Was a great experience and would recommend this property. Not to late to go see the desert in bloom. You are in the desert so a little trip to get your groceries or to go out to eat.
