  • The loft is a cozy, private place to unwind in the Catskills. Winter 2025-26 is starting strong. Nearby Belleayre and Plattekill Mtns are in full swing for skiing and snowboarding. Make time to explore fun towns like Margaretville, Andes & more. Super savings on longer stays, too! Our road is plowed & sanded, but you must have AWD & WINTER TIRES for smooth travels during WINTER visits. No need for AWD rest of year.

Weekend getaway

The Loft was a very pleasant experience. The scenery was great, and it was very comfortable with everything we needed. It was a very relaxing and peaceful environment, and we would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy loft!! It was clean and perfect for a short weekend stay while we were up there for a wedding! Brian and Carmel were so accommodating and let us check in early even! Thank you for the hospitality, would recommend!!

Lovely stay

This was a lovely spot to stay -- quiet, clean, welcoming, and many thoughtful extra touches. The owners were also wonderful. Highly recommend.

Peaceful getaway in the mountains!

My husband and I really enjoyed a nice quiet stay at Brian and Carmel’s! The studio accommodations were just right for us and offered a great landing pad after some area hiking and shopping in town

Beautiful Place to Stay

This studio was very clean and had a very calming feel to it. It felt like a home away from home and it was one of the best places we have stayed.

Great getaway

Brian was excellent at communication and made the entire process smooth and easy. The place itself was clean and a delight to stay in, and the area itself had some beautiful hiking. A perfect getaway for a city dweller like myself!

Retirement Getaway

We had a great stay, very clean and neat studio. Brian was very helpful with advice and options in the area for hiking, dinning ext. Will definitly stay here again in the future. It's a hidden gem.

Amazing Weekend Getaway

Brian was an INCREDIBLE host! He was super flexible and welcoming. Brian even helped us out with an unforeseen issue and saved our weekend ski trip! The space was beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The views were awesome, too. Truly a great weekend getaway. Thanks so much for hosting us!

Great getaway

We had a very relaxing time at the house and very active time in its surroundings - hiking, swimming, kayaking - what a joy! Brian is an incredible host and a pleasure to deal with. He will provide you with anything that you might need. We’ll be back!

Loved it here!

This place was awesome! It had everything you would need and more! It’s beautiful! It had a nice big open space to hang out and chill. At night it was nice to grab a drink and go outside and stare at the stars. The hosts Brian and Carmel are very welcoming and will help you with anything you need, even with ideas for a day out on the town! They care about their guests and it shows. The view of the Catskills is amazing. I spent a lot of time venturing out, but it was so nice to have this place to come home to after a long day. Just book it - you won’t be sorry!

Perfect Catskills Getaway

Often guesthouses are shoved in the back of a property, seemingly as an afterthought, without a view and shabbily furnished. Not here! The 360 degrees views are stunning, the unit modern with a touch of farmhouse charm and perfect for a long-weekend getaway in the Catskills. Don’t miss it.

I had been booked here for 5 months. . 2 days before check in, i received detailed directions to property citing "hairpin" turns, very dark unlit sections, unpaved status and steep ascent requiring some aggressiveness to overcome. I have an older low profile small car. I have an extreme fear of this kind of road and trouble seeing at night. I wrote immediately to state I could not consider using this entry road and had to cancel. The host became quite condescending and insulting. Told me past reimbursement date. (I hadn't even asked for refund ). I answered his questions and i complained that in the 5 months i was booked this was not divulged. He knows this is a property drawback and never revealed it prior to cancellation date. The listing is deficient. His response to me was deplorable. Then his wife got involved and said "we called **** and they said we don't have to refund you". What unprofessional hosts.

Perfect Girls-Getaway

Sunny Loft was just as advertised! A friend and I decided to take a couple days to do some hiking and paddling in the Catskills. There were many trails to choose from nearby. We ended up paddling on Alder Lake, a small calm lake with an easy loop trail and harder trail up to a fire tower and got to some other trails and peaks as well. The loft had excellent WiFi that allowed us to get our directions and make our plans. There’s not much service otherwise. The loft was just right for the two of us. Brian gave excellent directions to get there and the space was so welcoming. The property was full of beautiful flowers, a grill (that we didn’t get around to using), outdoor seating and a cute spot for a gas campfire. It was perfect for reading and coffee in the morning too! The space inside was just as nice. We appreciated the coffee and local milk, as well as bedding, linens, etc. It was great not to have to pack those things. We brought our food with us. The fridge, toaster oven, microwave and two burner hot plate worked great. Brian was exceptional with communication. In the welcome folder with all kinds of great information, he mentioned that it would be a good thing to let him know if we were headed out into the wilderness for safety- as there’s no real cell service around. We appreciated that someone was looking out for us. I would highly recommend the Sunny Loft and look forward to visiting again.

Brian was a good host. He responded very quickly to texts. The loft was clean and spacious for 3. The key code for entering was seamless and convenient. The place had everything we required. The view of the surrounding countryside was great. We were about 6 minutes out of town where there was a supermarket and a number of restaurants. Brian left us nice chocolate treat in the fridge and a 5 gallon water container with a pump. The beds were very comfortable. The outdoor Adirondack chairs were placed on an upper viewing area and had a propane fire pit. We would highly recommend and stay again. Thank you Brian for a great 3 night stay.
