First time down at Margaret River. The house is perfectly located for outdoor enthusiasts and those that like to walk the high-street of quaint little towns. The interior is beautifully maintained and stylishly appointed.

Xmas stay

Generously equipped kitchen and some pantry items were appreciated. The fenced yard meant our dog was happily accommodated as well. Great central location with room enough for 6 adults.

Lovely 3 nights

Higgins hideaway is a classy 1920's bungalow. High ceilings and beautiful boards. Stunning garden, beautifully blooming with seasonal flowers.A tranquil spot yet easy walking distance to Margs shops or walk in forest around the river. Thoroughly enjoyed our time.Loved the tiny book library and being able to bring our well behaved Jack Russell. Thank you for sharing your character home with us.

What a little Gem!!!!!

From arriving till the unfortunate last day and having to depart. This little homely cottage was just wonderful.I have no problem whatsoever recommending this to anyone with dogs and anyone that wants a wonderful convenient location close to town :)

Cape to Comfort

We were in Margaret River for the C2C off road bike ride, the house had everything required to accommodate us along with a fenced area for the fur kids. Higgins Hideaway is walking distance to top along with bush walks. It was relaxing way to end the day thank you.

Great location & lovely light filled house

We stayed four nights and enjoyed the lovely light filled rooms. The house is decorated beautifully, the kitchen well equipped, bathrooms clean & outdoor areas lovely to relax in. An easy walk to the main street & all of the cafes, restaurants, bakeries & shops. We would highly recommend this property Check in was fairly smooth, although the lockbox is a little stiff to open & unfortunately we didn't receive our complementary bottle of wine on arrival

Higgins Hideaway

The house and contents were excellent. Outside furniture was very disappointing. Plastic chairs and table were poor. We were unable to eat out as the table and chairs were constantly covered in leaves and flowers. Not pleasant having leaves and flowers dropping on your food. The outside would have been the same standard as inside if there had been a couple of comfortable chairs to sit on just outside the back door on upper decking. Having said all that we had a great stay and would come back.

Beautiful property in prime location

Really lovely property in the best location of Margaret River. A short walk to Bussell Hwy and all of its shops and restaurants and a short walk to the beautiful forrest and the Margaret River. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - thank you :)

Overall we enjoyed our stay, a great location near good restaurants and walking distance to national park, great for dog walking. Property was a little run down but comfortable. Price was high.

Wonderful getaway

The property is warm and inviting. Great space, nicely renovated, and well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed having a cup of tea watching the kookaburras in the back yard. Walking distance to everything in the main street. Keen to come down again.

Came for the open studios and some quality time with the family - the house was warm and very comfortable, the gardens were lovely, very friendly and entertaining Birdlife. So many experiences were just a walk away. Our furry companion enjoyed the walk along the river… thank you to maintenance for tending to the gaps in the fence she discovered so promptly! The stay was everything we hoped for and more.

Lovely stay in Margaret River

Great location and nice house. Easy walk to the main street and beautiful to be right near the bush. Good to have 3 separate rooms with double and queen beds. Nice garden and outdoor area, however, our inquisitive 2 terriers easily got through the front wire fencing. We weren’t able to let them roam free and had to keep them on leashes when outside. Overall, we think it is a lovely place for a small family to stay.
