Relajante

Lugar ideal para un retiro vacacional. Acceder a una vía rápida para las visitas turísticas cuesta 30 minutos de sinuosas curvas. Buen lugar para visitar Oporto, Guimaraes o Braga. La casa es grande y bien acondicionada, con vistas al Duero. La atención de María Eugenia exquisita.

Casa Vila de Cete

La casa estaba muy limpia y la estancia ha resultado agradable. Sin embargo, el anuncio era impreciso, puesto q la piscina no se encontraba dentro de la propiedad, está a unos 10 minutos andando, o 3-4 minutos en coche y además era compartida con otros inquilinos de otras casas. Además, la ducha de la habitación de matrimonio tenía poca presión. A pesar de estos inconvenientes, nuestra estancia ha sido agradable.

Maison très agréable et largement adaptee pour une famille de 5. Endroit très calme et paisible . La piscine est vraiment bien et la possibilité de naviguer sur le douro avec les canoës est un plus! Mention particulière aux propriétaires pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité.

Relexed place to stay

We had a great relaxing stay at this house. The balcony gives great sunset views. The pool is a bit of a strawl but is also beautiful placed on the Hill with river view. Mary Eugénia is an excellent host and the fruit and vegetables were a nice bonus. Thanks Maria Eugénia!

Villa confortable bien située

Belle villa, avec très belle vue sur la vallée. Une piscine est disponible a 10 minutes à pied, qui donne sur le douro. Maria Eugenia est une hôte charmante et très attentionnée. A recommander.

Séjour Paisible et accueil chaleureux

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour à la casa de Cete. L'accueil est très chaleureux et sympathique. La maison est vraiment agréable et les photos correspondent tout à fait. La piscine est située à 2 min en voiture, ou à pied à 10 min, le retour est plus sportif. Elle est à partager avec la famille des hôtes et avec l'autre maison en location.

Quiet, beautiful place with a great welcome feeling. The house is big, new, modern and old, the terasse with great view. The pool is deep, big, and with a beautiful view. The kayaks on the river make fun. Only one point of critique: you don't know that there is another house sharing pool and kayak and that you have to walk 10 minutes to the pool. I got this information only by another review. There was no problem in sharing, but it is more comfortable to announce this fact clearly in the advertisement.

A hidden gem

Absolutely gorgeous home blending new and old together perfectly for an authentic stay. The beds were the comfiest I've slept on since coming to Portugal and I was finally able to get a good night's rest. Everything you need is on site and there is tons of space. The views are incredible when you get closer to the river and the pool is refreshing and hosts an incredible view as well. Accessibility is a little tricky and navigating the much tighter roads but once you are able to find the property it becomes easier. Absolutely would recommend if you're looking for a quiet secluded spot.

Sfeervol en comfortabel

We hebben een hele fijne week gehad in een comfortabel en sfeervol huis. Royaal verblijf op groot perceel grond, prachtige bosrijke en zeer rustige omgeving. Douro ligt ongeveer 500 meter lager, vanuit huis niet zichtbaar. Van zwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, omdat het een behoorlijk stuk afdalen en klimmen was. Dourovallei is prachtig. Veel moois in de omgeving te zien. Auto is een must.

Oasis

Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time experience. Thank you so much!

Peaceful location near by the river Douro

The house is an architecturally successful mixture of a small old house, where the large, well-equipped dining kitchen is located, and a modern extension with the large bedrooms and a living room. Each bedroom has its own shower, very comfortable. From the house it takes 10 minutes to reach the pool, which is beautifully situated above the Douro and which guests of Maria and her husband's three lovely holiday flats can use. Maria and her husband, who both speak very good English, are extremely friendly and helpful. Directly below the pool there is a private jetty where two canoes are available to the guests. Swimming in the very clean Douro is a dream. The only - small - drawback may be for guests staying longer that there are no wardrobes to store clothes etc

A true gem. Would stay again but not without hiccups

We loved the property.The lemon, orsnge and other fruit trees right outside your door. The view of the lush valley from every window and balcony. The uniqueness of the house. The kindness of our host. The sparkling clean home. There is so so much to love. The pool, views and river are stunnnnnnning. Being able to kayak on the Duoro ?! Priceless. The host was SO KIND & lovely. Just very little communication prior to checkin.The house is located about 5 minutes from a town and some fantastic restaurants. Just fyi; the roads are cobbled, narrow & windy. It’s a quaint and beautiful area.The issues:The checkin process was so much harder and confusing than it needed to be, but not enough to deter us from returning (more below)The pool is not just 500m away. It is a 10 minute walk along the road (which is quiet), down a driveway and passed the hosts main place of residence. It is a completely different property than where the rental is located. During busy times the pool and water toys would be shared with 3 other homes. My suggestion would be to have a checkin section completed by the host to make it easier for both guests and host. The house number was covered by a plant, so we guessed we were in the right spot based on photos. Inside the name of the house vs the information about the house were different - so thought we had walked into someone else’s house. No where is there direction to the pool and river (which was our main pull for this part of our holiday)

Different than expected…

The property consists of 2 houses, which is not clear from the house description at all. The one house has a perfect location with view on the river and steps away from the pool and the river bank with the kayaks. The other house, in which we were staying is 10min difficult and steep walk away with no view to the river at all. The pool and kayaks are shared and not private as in the description. So, when you wanted to go to the pool or use the kayaks you had to walk hoping that it is available. The pool is really perfect and also the use of kayaks on the river makes a lot of fun. Take your fishing gears with you. We caught some nice Blackbass! The house is modern, but minimalistic. If you like to have basically nothing to hang your clothes or place your wine glass when you are sitting on the sofa, you will like it. Otherwise you have to live literally our of your suitcase and place the glass on the floor. The kitchen is the best place and equipped with all basic requirements. There are no recommendation on „What to Do“, so you have to search by yourself. We found a few really nice places to visit, but would have been useful to get this as a recommendation list. The owner is anyway very friendly and with just a better and more accurate information upfront about the different houses we would have spared from a initial disappointment. We were very disappointed at the beginning, but at the end we made the best out of it and enjoyed the stay in the Douro valley.

Muy bien aunque no como lo esperábamos

El sitio es muy bonito y la localización inmejorable, pero la piscina no es privada y se comparte con otras 4 casas ,como mínimo ,que son de la propietaria( lo cual no es está especificado en el anuncio). La casa que nos tocó estaba a unos 7-10 minutos de la piscina junto a otra casa en el mismo terreno, de lo cual no se nos informó y tuvimos que llamar a la propietaria , fue un poco caótico. Estaba muy limpia y era muy bonita al igual que la zona de la piscina. Un punto a favor es que había kayaks en la propia finca que se podían coger para dar una vuelta por el río.

Wir hatten eine super Woche bei Maria. Wer ruhige und entspannte Urlaubstage haben möchte ist hier genau richtig. Der Pool ist fussläufig in ca. 10 min. zu erreichen. ( mit dem Auto sind es drei Minuten). Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Am Fluss stehen Kanus zur Verfügung. Das ist eine super Abwechslung. Nach Porto oder Braga sind es ca. 60 Minuten mit dem Auto. Maria ist eine total liebenswerte Gastgeberin und reagiert sofort auf Fragen oder Probleme. Wir danken Maria und ihrem Mann, für eine tolle Woche!!!Beste Grüße, Familie Rehse

Entspannte Woche am Douro

Die Casa de Vila Cete ist ein großes Landhaus, bestehend aus einem traditionellen Steingebäude, in dem sich die moderne Küche und die herrliche Terrasse befinden und einem neuen Anbau mit großflächigen Fenstern, gelegen in einem großen Garten mit allerlei Früchten, Olivenbäumen und Weinreben. Hier kann man je nach Jahreszeit entsprechend ernten und verkosten. Die Ausstattung ist komplett, Wasser, Gewürze, Kaffeefilter, Spülmittel sowie Spül- und Waschmaschinentabs waren vorhanden. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind geräumig und zusätzlich zum „regulären“ Bad, ebenfalls mit Dusche, Waschbecken und WC ausgestattet. Beim duschen kann man ins Grüne schauen. Das Landhaus liegt - absolut ruhig - zusammen mit einem weiteren (kleineren) Gebäude etwas entfernt von der Casa Gondomil, wo sich der große und sehr gepflegte Pool sowie die Kanus befinden. Wir waren begeistert von der Aussicht vom Pool direkt auf den Douro und vom hauseigenen Bootssteg, wo man mit den Kanus in See stechen konnte. Die Vermieter sind freundlich und geben einem das Gefühl, sich alleine auf dem Anwesen zu befinden. Wir konnten uns hier absolut frei bewegen, kommen und gehen wann wir wollten - alles sehr entspannt und super angenehm. Fragen wurden innerhalb Minuten beantwortet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Fantastisk sted

Vi har netop haft den skønneste ferie - 10 dage hos Maria - 2 voksne og vores børn 19 år og 17 år. Huset er fantastisk, og vi nød hver dag at benytte poolen og floden med kajaker. Heerlijk verblijf in prachtige omgeving

Heerlijk verblijf in comfortabele woning voorzien van (welkome!) Airconditioning. Zwembad was iets verder lopen dan vanuit de advertentie op te maken, maar dat hadden we er graag voor over.

Un très bon séjour dans la vallée du Douro.

La balade en kayak était superbe. Comme tout notre séjour. On en a même oublié que la piscine n’était pas à côté de la location grâce à la vue magnifique sur le Douro depuis celle-ci. Marie-Eugenia a répondu à toutes nos questions.

Oase in der Natur

Wir haben den Pool und das schöne Haus sehr genossen. Toller Ausblick, super netter Kanuausflug und eine sehr herzliche Vermieterin. Danke sehr für den schönen Aufenthalt.
