Lost Moose Lodge

Recommend basic maintenance be done as there were unpatched nail holes, board above dishwasher poorly done, cracks in drywall, kitchen fan ceiling ring hanging and dishwasher didn’t work until we called maintenance and one bathtub had no stopper-it was missing, shower light didn’t work and exhaust fan light continually flickering. Live bugs such as spiders and webs were present. Road driveway was horrible all washed out with huge ruts which can damage vehicles- unacceptable.Need easier access to collect pool toys that go over the back of the pool versus weeds and poison Ivy. We enjoyed our time and with these fixes would return happily.

Lovely quite cabin

We really loved this home. It was beautiful, the grounds were secluded. Our only suggestions is we wished they provided more in the kitchen. For example there were no measuring cups, measuring spoons. No wine glasses. No plastic plates to use outside in the patio. Also more towels, toilet paper, paper towel and a fresh sponge for dish cleaning would be appreciated. Over all it was a wonderful place and we would rent again.

This House Could Be Amazing, But Its Condition Left Us Disappointed

This had the makings of what could have been an amazing getaway. When you first pull up, you realize how massive this house is. The outside covered patio area is huge with plenty of room for hanging out and the pool is awesome. Inside, the house has massive open spaces in both the downstairs and upstairs with plenty of bedroom space for our group of 10. It was difficult to see where all of the rooms were when we booked it and be advised that many of the beds they advertise are in the open area upstairs. The house is a short drive away from the Log Country Cove main area. Far enough that it makes the pool far more convenient than the lake, but close enough that we did head over there one evening for an hour or so. The main reason why I gave this house a 3 is because of the condition that the house is in. One of the pictures in a downstairs bedroom had fallen off the wall prior to our arrival. The glass had shattered all over the floor and we had to clean it up. One of the cupboards in the kitchen was crooked and we learned that the wood where its screws were supposed to go in had been stripped, making it impossible to close properly. All four of the A/C units were broken upon our arrival. The management called in maintenance that night, and they got three of them working, but left the last one (which happened to be for one of the downstairs master suites) unfixed. It made for some awfully hot and sweaty nights for us. On the last night, my wife noticed a massive puddle of water in the back laundry area by the door. The floor in that area was stained from where water had been before us and the wood trim was water damaged, as well. When I opened the door, I could see water on and around the doorway trim, as well, but the water source didn't appear to be coming from outside. After some investigation, I determined that when you showered, water was leaking around the glass pane between the shower area and the log cabin exterior, and then following the wood into that hallway on the other side. When I notified the office, they made it sound like it was our fault for not closing the shower curtain while showering (which it was). They said they'd let maintenance know. The can opener was broken and wouldn't turn. We purchased one from the store and left it for others who visit behind us. Overall, the house was beautiful, but suffers from a lack of proper upkeep. Hopefully they send maintenance through to fix it up and it'll be great.

Lost Moose Lodge

There were five couples-our husbands all worked in the Oil industry together. They have been playing dominos together for many years, so this trip was designed for them to play lots of dominos. The wives shopped in Marble Falls and Burnet. Great deck to enjoy the outdoors.

Great location and very private

Overall was good, great location, lots of parking, close to state parks but there is no reception at this location and the wifi barely worked, so pretty much no phone communication while on the house. We all have trouble connecting to guest wifi and when connected, it's very slow. Did not provide enough kitchen trash bags and dish washer didn't work.

Good times at The Lost Moose Lodge

Excellent vacation spot. Home is beautiful and just as described and shown in photos. Great place for a couple of families to meet up and enjoy the property. Location was primo tucked back off the road so it felt like we were outby our selves, but only 15 minutes from Marble Falls.

Awesome Private Cabin

This was our third time to stay at Log Country Cove and first time at this particular cabin. The people that work at LCC are always so kind and we always enjoy speaking with them. The cabin itself was nicely laid out. The pool area was great and the privacy of the cabin was just awesome. We used the jetted tub in the master and some sort of black substance shot out everywhere, so I would recommend a deep clean there. Replacing the box springs, pillows, pool table...lots of little things that could use a refresh yet overall we'd totally stay there again. Love the windows and the architecture too!

Perfect set up for large groups!

There is so much space! Loved the six bedrooms. 2-masters downstairs and four bedrooms up stairs all with at least 1-queen size beds. It has three more queen size beds and three futons. We loved the fact that there was so many places to just sit, relax and visit. The office staff was so helpful and friendly. Always so patient and understanding with out many questions as we planned the trip. Our only issue was it was very dusty.

Great Property and Location

We had a great time and overall the property was great. Pool was a little cold as it is in a shaded area. You can heat the pool but note you need to let them know ~24 hours ahead of time that you would like the heater turned on. You also can heat the pool and hot tub at the same time. The billiards table does not have an actual full billiards set (balls missing) which was disappointing, but I am nitpicking at this point. House was beautiful, patio/pool area was great. TV outside was great to have sports on in the background. Also the grill is charcol not gas so plan accordingly. Plenty of dishes and utensils. Would absolutely stay again.

Beautiful Home

Our family of 11 - 7 adults and 4 children - really enjoyed our stay at Log Country Cove in The Lost Moose Lodge The pool was refreshing and the outdoor kitchen area was great! We loved this area and the lovely views - we will definitely return.

Nestled in the woods

Lost moose lodge was a spacious log house for our family of 16 adults and 8 children. We enjoyed the inside areas as well as the outdoor porches and pool/hot tub. The house is located just a little off the main road but has the feel of total isolation. There were walking trails very near by that provided some great nature hikes and of course the bluebonnets and other wild flowers were in bloom!

great place.

great place for 20 people. very comfortable. Had some communication problems regarding checkout timings and had showers running cold water which they promptly came and fixed. over all really prompt and amazing place, will definitely recommend it.

Plenty of room for all!

We celebrated our Family Christmas with kids and Grandkids and had plenty of room for all. Everyone had a bed to sleep and there were plenty of showers and bath tubes. My wife loved the Jacuzzi tube. The large covered patio was great for the outside activities and we enjoyed the sound of the waterfalls at the pool. The kids enjoyed the swing set and fort as well. Everyone had a great time and loved the place.
