We had a wonderful time in Marathon. This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we absolutely LOVE the property. Ruth, our host, is absolutely amazing. She is super responsive to any issues or questions. We were staying over Christmas this time and there were presents under the tree for our family and even treats/toys for our dogs. Ruth always has the pantry stocked with snacks and the fridge filled with some basic staples to get you started with. The pool was perfect and it was so relaxing. The grounds were very well kept, as was the home. There were some improvements made from our first stay which we appreciated. We can’t wait to stay again. Ruth and Traci are so accommodating and friendly. We are a family of 5 and a girlfriend, along with 3 dogs, which we, once again, were so appreciative that all of the dogs were welcome. I can’t express how wonderful everything was. We will definitely be back.

Great Property! Very clean, spacious, comfortable and relaxing with great amenities. Plenty of dock space for boat, nice pool and great sunsets sitting at pool or on seawall. Comfortable beds too. Will be coming back. Ruth was great to work with as well and very responsive to questions prior to visit and while visiting.

Our 2nd stay - Even better than the first!

My husband and I visited this property for the second time and found it even more enjoyable than our first visit. There have been recent updates and amenities that enhanced our stay. The house is clean, well equipped and in a great location. Communication with the host was prompt and very responsive. We highly recommend this property for anyone interested in staying in the Marathon area.

Wonderful Vacation Get Away

The house and property were lovely. We had everything we needed for the stay right there on the property. The boat dock /seawall was so convenient so we could keep our boat on the water. The house is clean and the host was wonderful. The refrigerator was stocked with nice accommodations until we could make it to the store. She responded to any questions we had quickly. The house is nice because each room has its own bathroom. Would definitely go back again.

Sunset Point a slice of paradise

We were at Sunset Paradise for 2 weeks. The home and property were really better than the pictures!! Ruth, the property manager, was terrific! The home was stocked with all the staples. That saved us a trip to the convenient Pubix on our first night. It was extremely quiet with beautiful views of the boats in the bay. The sun and the pool were warm and relaxing. Sailor, our golden retriever had the time of her life. She loved the daily visit of iguanas on the dock. We even saw a few manatees swim by. Had a blast and would visit here again in a heartbeat. Family vacation

Our family came to Marathon for a wintertime/Christmas vacation. The house was amazing! It was absolutely perfect for our stay. Ruth, the property manager, was amazing! She had the house stocked with a few staples, which was above and beyond! We had a wonderful time and hope to stay again soon. They were also very accommodating to our 2 corgis. Trip of A Lifetime

Oh my stars - what a perfect vacation! Ruth and her team took the best care of us during our stay! From the arrival, Ruth answered every message I sent so quickly and we were so taken back when we arrived to a fridge and pantry stocked with snacks, drinks, and of course, key lime pie. The house was absolutely beautiful! Stocked with beach supplies and everything you would need as if it was your own place (cookware, barware, toiletries, and even fishing supplies). Our family of four could not have picked a better place to stay for our first FL Keys trip. We experienced all of what the keys had to offer and it did not disappoint! Our kids loved having their own room and a pool to swim in at any time. This house offers a great view and was only minutes from several different beaches. We enjoyed the peace and quiet that this house offered along with it being in Marathon which was pretty centrally located if you wanted to also explore other keys. We were right down the street from Publix and several restaurants but nestled at the end of a quiet street to not hear the sounds of the hustle and bustle of the town. We plan to return and will be staying here!

Wonderful Stay

We had the most wonderful stay. We were greeted with flowers a card and a fully stocked refrigerator plus treats for our little JackJack. Ruth was wonderful answered all our questions and even babysat our pooch for an hour or so while we were out and the house was being shown. Great location everything was perfect. We would buy the house if we were ready to move south!!

Happiest New Year!

My family had the pleasure of spending 9 days at this beautiful home! From the moment we arrived and received a handwritten welcome note from Ruth and a kitchen fully stocked, to the excellent restaurant suggestions, to being allowed to check out a little bit late on our last morning, our trip was perfect. Ruth and her team set up the home beautifully for arrival with plenty of food to get us started (fridge stocked with all of the necessities and then some - eggs, butter, sausage links, pop, beer and even a Key Lime pie), fresh flowers throughout the home, sunscreen, fishing poles, beach chairs, snorkel equipment...there was nothing that she hadn't thought of! The home is situated on a bay - the view was fantastic and it was quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool was a perfect size and my 14 and 18-year-old spent time swimming in it every day. We would love to return to this home as it was the most amazing start to 2023 for us!

Another Perfect Stay!

This was our second time staying at the house, and it was just as amazing as last year! The owners had made beautiful upgrades to the already beautiful interior, and the location continues to impress. Despite the convenience of a canal for our boat, you do not look across the water at another home, but rather a beautiful greenspace - it's the best of both worlds. There was plenty of room for the whole family to gather (or spend time apart). Ruth was, as always, friendly and responsive. When I mentioned that we would be celebrating our daughter's birthday while there, she placed a birthday balloon, plates, napkins, and candles with the rest of the amazing snacks/food/drinks in the home upon arrival. Stop looking, and just book this house - you won't regret it!

Fantastic house & location

We had a fabulous time at this house! The location & sunsets were amazing. Jacquelyn was great! She came to greet us & even offered to help us with our luggage! Everything was new, up to date. Private and well located home in Marathon

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We have been coming to Marathon for years for the first 2 weeks in August for lobster season and know the area very well. There are things that we liked about this property and things that we did not like about this property. Likes: -Location - it is in the middle of Marathon and a 1 minute drive to Publix. -Privacy - there is only 1 neighboring house and although the occupants were very loud, you could not hear them from the rear of the home (where the pool and water is) -Welcome package - upon check-in, the refrig was full with basics (breakfast foods, lunchmeat, beer and seltzers, etc) that lessened the rush to get to the grocery store - 3 bedrooms all have en-suite baths with a 1/2 bath off of the kitchen to serve the living area of the house -the pool area is very nice with new pool furniture and a gas grill Dislikes: -the home is an older, remodeled home that could use some additional work (plantation shutters did not stay open, back door lock was broken) -the garage was locked so we needed to store all of our fishing gear and dive equipment in the living room - the dock area where you can dock your boat has a large tree above it which is great for shade but is not so great because it dropped pods and seeds on the boat that stained the seats and deck of our boat -there is no cable TV or other live TV service - Roku only -it takes about 20-30 minutes to reach open water through the canal Overall, we would stay again but the list of dislikes above caused me to give this property 4 stars rather than 5 stars.

Perfect home for vacation

We loved staying in this home for our vacation. It was the best equipped vacation rental we have ever been at. Ruth, the property manager, had wonder snacks and drinks already there for us. We could not have asked for a better place and we booked it again for next year before we left.

The BEST Vacation Rental Experience we have ever had!

Pictures don’t do it justice! We had the most incredible stay at Sunset Point and have already rebooked for next year! This was by far the most comfortable, well appointed Vacation Home we have stayed in. After an exhausting 12 hour drive we were welcomed by a stocked fridge and counter full of snacks & drinks to get our vacation started. Everything was thought of when preparing for their guests. The home was beautiful, private, clean and comfortable. They anticipated everything that we could possibly need during our stay and had an amazing team making our vacation effortless! The 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds now (instead of a queen and pull-out couch in old picture). All bedrooms have wonderful private full baths. The home is located at the end of the road with lots of parking for cars and boat trailers. There is an unbelievable amount of dock space for fishing and boats on a quiet cove in the canals with the best sunsets around. The pool was great for taking a dip and cooling off from the heat of summer. They have a deep freezer outside which was perfect for us to stock up with ice for the week. The location could not have been better being only about a half mile away from Publix, Winn Dixie & Walgreens. We saw manatees & dolphins in the canals and there are a lot of fish you see and hear jumping right off of the dock. For boaters, The canals come out in different areas- the ones we used the most were by Boot Key and Sombrero Beach on the Atlantic and also by the marinas by the 7 mile bridge which separates the Gulf & Atlantic. Ruth & Kelly and their team were extraordinary and we could not have asked for a better experience! Already counting down the days until our trip next year!!! If you are still reading this review and haven’t booked your stay yet, what are you waiting for? Paradise awaits!!!

Amazing host, amazing property!!!

Ruth is an amazing host. Responds quickly to questions throughout the entire process. The property was beautiful and completely stocked with everything....even snacks and many basics... would return in a heartbeat!!!!!
